Oma's (grandma in German- though I think the owner is Dutch) serves wonderful breakfasts & pastries.

The coffee is also excellent (a prerequisite for any place I have breakfast)

It's located in the heart of the village- a nice place to eat when you're in Idyllwild.

As a fan of European style breakfast, I was looking forward to eating here. The service was excellent and the coffee was really good, but the food itself left much to be desired. Resembled greasy spoon diner food. I had the yogurt which came with several frozen blueberries on top (couldn't be bothered to defrost them for me?). My husband had the omlette with avocado (Kathi's Omlette I think) which was fine, but nothing special. The hash browns were greasy and bland and the basket of bread wasn't thoroughly warm - the top slices were warm and the rest was cold. Very reasonably priced and the pastries in the case looked homemade and looked delicious.

Pros: Service, coffee

Cons: Bland food
