One of the most breath taking planetarium exhibits in the world. Make sure you get to see the space show that they play which I think was Tom Hanks voice doing the narrations. They have a historic map of space discoveries and exhibits with historic revelance which is so much to take in at times. Science has really brought us a huge step forward in the mysteries of life.

I've always been fascinated by space and space exploration so on our last trip to New York we decided to visit this newest addition to the Museum of Science, The Rose center which is part of the Hayden Planetarium

There are a few shows you can see while at the Rose Center but the one we most wanted to attend was the one I read about that was touted as being the hottest ticket in town, The Search for Life: Are We Alone ?. This remarkable film is narrated by Harrison Ford and is shown in the Hayden Planetarium Space Theater, one of the most technologically advanced showcases of its kind to be found anywhere today.

I have to say this show really was truly outstanding, with actual footage, shown in splendid detail, from the exploration of Mars, as well as images taken from far out into the Galaxy. As I sat looking up and all around me, it wasnt hard to feel as if I was transported as far out as exploration has gone up to this point in time. And, beyond!

This visually stunning show tries to answer the question that we have wondered about from the beginning of time, primarilly, are we alone? It is just so mind boggling you can almost forget you are sitting in this circular theater. Harrison Fords narration is superb and you cant help but wonder about all that is out there.

There are other sights to see at this Musuem as well, tracing life as far back as it's microisms to present day, demonstrated in a spectacular sequence of displays.

I recommend the Rose center to any and all who are fascinated with space and its exploration ....Various prices apply depending on what you want to see and do

PROS: Space and space exploration is demonstrated in spectacular manner
CONS: None
