Cool Access is the worst company we have ever dealt with in ANY profession. They are horrible. They have people "over a barrel" because of the limited access out in the country where we live. They have lost our tickets that were opened, not returned calls, returned calls at times but after a whole week had passed, been extremely rude, blamed me for their problems, told me they were going to charge me for service calls because my problems were my fault, ignored emails, etc. The tech support people are clueless and act like trained monkeys - in fact they told us their experience was really in other fields and not the computer field. We have been with them since February and have been down more than we've been up. I was told the owner "does not speak to his customers". How unprofessional is that?! I guess the people who pay his bills and keep his business open are not important enough to deal with. Probably because he would be talking to every single customer they have because no one I know is happy with their service. I wish that there was a star rating that went into the negative here...they don't even deserve one star.

Their service hardly ever works and they don't seem to know how to fix any of it. When I call in a problem, they often give me a solution that has already been tried so apparently the service techs. do not bother to look at the notes on the accounts unless you ask them to do so. They don't seem to really care. They are contracted out and apparently noone checks on their performance. The service technicians, who are also contracted out are equally terrible, unprofessional and very rude! Example, my sister had met with one who insisted he couldn't come at any time except during the morning. She casually asked him how long he had been doing this kind of work and he replied, "I read up on it yesterday." She said he was also about to smoke in my house without even asking. He also made some changes to my computer without any permission that involved my computer's security. He told my sister it was to protect my neighbors from hacking my accounts. I only hope he didn't fix it so that he could hack my accounts. He blamed all my problems on me. He said the router wire shouldn't be pulled around the side of the computer (well it hadn't been BEFORE it stopped working so that had nothing to do with the problem). He also said it shouldn't have been sitting on my bed (again it wasn't on the bed before I had to try to plug the connection directly into my computer because it was NOT WORKING!) He called cool access and told them to change towers as the North ones seemed to work better, but didn't tell my sister any of that..she happened to be listening. When I tried to call to complain, they wouldn't let me talk to anyone for the longest time. Finally they let me talk to a "manager" and he basically was equally rude. When I said I was so unsatisfied that I would like to change companies, his reply was, "you can't their isn't anyone else who serves this area (Campbell Texas)." I asked for a way to contact the owner, he would not tell me, but instead said it was on their webpage. It is not. The only thing there is tech service, billing, and sales. The woman in billing is also very rude. I plan to try to see if I can get service thru my local telephone company. They charged $200 to install, and also got me to buy a new router from them because that was my "problem" at one time. Of course since then, I've had just as many problems. When I called the tech guy this last time, he said it might be their router because some of them are rebuilt, yet they charged me for a new one!! Stay away from this terrible company!

Cool Access is the most unreliable internet service we have EVER dealt with. Last month they were down for three straight days. They are down at least once a week and often more. They change our IP addresses frequesntly as they have problems with their towers - I'm becoming an expert at reconfiguring my internet set up to deal with the Cool Access problem de jour. They explain that their equipment is having problems and their vendors won't fix it properly. If we had cable or dsl available we would change so fast they wouldn't see us going.

If you don't currently have DSL or Cable service in your area you should consider Cool Access. They offer satellite internet service at speeds of up to 2.5 Mbps for only $59.99 per month. They also offer television service options as well... Highly recommended.
