Don't do it !  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I've had many issues with Housepro over the last few years,that cost me over $3,000 for a single family 1600 sq ft home.

They installed a attic unit which they left before making sure that it was blowing cold air( I told them air outlet was hot). That was the day before 4th of July weekend and that brand new attic unit(that was supposed to save me a $100 per month at the time)never worked and nobody was available for emergency service,until 3 days later.
I understand it was 4th of July,but when you just paid $2700 to improve your AC(which was still working) and that it does not work for 3 days in a row with a one year old baby,you can imagine how anxious I was.
After 3 days,a service rep showed up and identified the root cause : compressor could not start!
Apparently,the attic unit they had just put in was oversized for the outside unit,so the compressor could not start.
Talk about professionalism,not even checking the basic facts before undertaking a $2700 job!
I could go on but you have the basic idea...
Just talk to real professionals and get multiple quotes.

Worthless Service  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I paid this company for a premier maintenance agreement which supposedly would guarantee a contractor out to fix my problem in the event of an emergency. The supposed on call person did not return any of the pages nor was the answering service able to contact them. It is Houston in 90 plus degree weather which should sum up what's going on in my home. I will definitely be contacting the BBB about them advertising a service they are not providing at a ridiculously upgraded price.

dishonest business  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

this is an unbelievable scam. Home warranty sent them, agreed my air conditioner needed a new compressor, was to be a $55 deductible. They asked first for $815 for a list of items, then after talking with the home shield people it was to be $400 and wouldn't repair the compressor until i paid this list of items. I refused and am now on two days without air and I am now using a very ethical person who totally can install the whole new air conditioner for $1500. They are such liars and are obviously in cahoots with the warranty people. Oh, and get this, they have to order a compressor??? Houston is the fourth largest city and cannot find a compressor? They have to order through the warranty people and they don't know how long?? My next letter is to bbb.

Unethical  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

My insurance company, Home Warranty of America, had Home Pro send someone to check on an AC that was not cooling enough. The problem was a freon leak.
The Home Pro technician, Ray, not only told my tenant to advise me to replace the unit with a better and upgraded one, although it was replaced not too long ago, but recommended that we do the deal directly with him instead of going through the insurance company.
He argued that he could do it faster, with less paperwork, that the insurance company would authorize only cheap parts, etc. Of course, he wanted $2,200 for the job to be paid directly to him etc.

First, he had no business scaring my tenants, second I find it absolutely unethical to try to trick the insurance company that hired him!

Of course, I am filing a complaint to the corresponding parts.

Good work  4 Star Rating - Very good

I just bought a house only to have the AC go out. They came in the dead of summer with little to no wait time. They didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't need, but they didn't sell me just a temporary fix. I was very pleased with their level of professionalism and their response time. If you're in a jam, you can count on them.

A/C Installation  4 Star Rating - Very good

House Pro recently installed/re-did my AC/Furnace and did an outstanding job. The Representative was very knowledgeable and explained the different options they offer. The workers were prompt in arriving to install the unit and done in a timely fashion.
