The technician was very informative about the repair and actually showed me the problem for myself. He also had some very good suggestions about a things not related to my problem, but that could become a problem. He talked to me in a way as to help me understand and was very professional. I will definitely be using House Pro in the future.
Fast & Professional guys I can say really know there stuff. Not only getting us cooling right away, but spent alot of time with me going though alot more than the my a/c. I didn't really know how bad my attic condition was effecting my air conditioning and my energy bill. My home is 18 years old and was bulit with shotty insulation. my ductwork was layings on the floor, my attic door has gapping holes all the way around. Anyway I just did not know. Thanks for the advise. We see a huge differance in our energy bills and we feel much more comfortable now...
Pleasure doing business with you! honestly HousePro was a unexpected treat after our prevous expierence. Far to often great work goes unoticed, so I thought I would do my part to spead the word.... Not Typical HVAC contractor at all. They just didn't get me cooling and run, they gave my a complete review of my house and attic, which have been wasting energy by the buckets. These guys are not typical they are Professional! Great team of people!
What relatives are writing these reviews. My daughter contacted home warranty company regarding AC issue and they sent this contractor. Repairman showed up and said I don't have the tools to check the AC will come back Monday! Came back Monday, said coil is bad, we need to order it. Takes a few days. 4 days later say it was not ordered, home warranty co. needs to order! Call them and they said contractor must. Took two weeks, got both on conference call, contractor to order. On Tuesday 19 days since first call, said part would be in Friday, called back next day to say Saturday.
Came out on Saturday 22 days since call and said blower is broken (it was working before they started working on unit). Called House Pro office and said they need to fix it today. Girl said, well, even if we did fix the blower, we did not get all of the parts for the coil!! They were telling us we needed a blower when instead of telling us they did not order all they needed. Total idiots. Girl became frustrated over pointing it out to her. Said they had to call warranty company on Monday to get approval on blower. Daughter called warranty company and they said, "they know we are open today!"
These guys break things, lie, lie again, lie to cover the lie. What a crock. There good reviews must have come from their relatives or employees.

If I could rate this company at no stars I would! This is the fourth spring/summer that our A/C has had problems. This after HousePro replaced it just 6yrs. ago. Last year we were told it was because it was a "builder" grade and couldn't hope to last more than five years. We are out of A/C again and after being made to wait more than 48hrs for repair the office has just told me that we have two people ahead of us and depending on what needs to be done there we will be next. Is that today, tomorrow, who knows? Before 5 I am assured. Oh, and don't EVEN think about calling the office to complain..the office wench will call the service guys and make your misery worse by making you dead last on the list or not at all! Save your time, money and sanity and find someone else more reputable.
just had my heater tune up done and was very happy with House Pro service from beginning to end. tech who came out the people who answered at the office were great, polite and professional. And truly cared about giving me good service. I never bother to write a review like most people. But felt it was much merited. I absolutely recommend them. I've tried several companies in the last 10 years since I've been at my house. House pro is the only one I recommend.
Recently we had the opportunity to build our home using very "green" technologies and methods. The R-value of the exterior walls is 50 - 55, and we also used a spray foam product to insulate and completely seal the roof deck and under the first floor (House is in the flood zone, so it is raised). House Pro was able to design and install a highly-efficient system to complement what we were trying to accomplish. Through the unusual challenges our home presented, House Pro demonstrated that they truly are masters of their craft. The house is very quiet, comfortable and has even temperatures across the three zones. My utility bills are now less than half of what they were before. Their service is efficient, the technicians polite and knowledgeable. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of a first-class HVAC company.
I had House Pro inspect the HVAC contractor that my builder chose. I had them inspect my house during construction to insure quality of install and proper equipment sizing. The service tech arrived on time and was very professional and polite. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail. He even made some recommendations on other issues that I had not originally thought of. I was very pleased with the House Pro staff and service.
Fast, On Time, Clean, and Thorough. Put shoe covers on, was very polite and courteous. Not just a quick fix, a complete diagnostic of both my air conditioners. Advised me on what we can do now and we should do later. Explained what a heat load calculation can do for my home too. I already sent them to my Mothers house. She was very impressed, and she is very hard to please. I highly Recommend them!
What a relief to a have a credible company give me all of my options and not "steer" me into what was best for them. My outdoor unit failed as it was old and had seen better days so I called House Pro and spoke with a polite and very knowledgeable fellow named Ross. He came out within a day of contact and assessed the situation taking me along with him so he could explain and show me what had failed. I really liked was that he gave me the basic repair option and also a more comprehensive option which was geared more towards my long term plan. The House Pro installation crew showed up the next morning and had me cooling and happy that same evening. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs an honest, unbiased solution to their A/C needs. Thanks!!
House Pro installed a new high efficiency air conditioning system in my home. Their technicians, installers and office staff were all highly professional. What really impressed me was the time they spent preparing for the job. Their engineering process was extremely impressive. My home is now far more comfortable and my energy bills are much lower. I would highly recommend House Pro.
I've had many issues with Housepro over the last few years, that cost me over $3,000 for a single family 1600 sq ft home.
They installed a attic unit which they left before making sure that it was blowing cold air( I told them air outlet was hot). That was the day before 4th of July weekend and that brand new attic unit(that was supposed to save me a $100 per month at the time)never worked and nobody was available for emergency service, until 3 days later.
I understand it was 4th of July, but when you just paid $2700 to improve your AC(which was still working) and that it does not work for 3 days in a row with a one year old baby, you can imagine how anxious I was.
After 3 days,a service rep showed up and identified the root cause : compressor could not start!
Apparently, the attic unit they had just put in was oversized for the outside unit,so the compressor could not start.
Talk about professionalism, not even checking the basic facts before undertaking a $2700 job!
I could go on but you have the basic idea...
Just talk to real professionals and get multiple quotes.
I paid this company for a premier maintenance agreement which supposedly would guarantee a contractor out to fix my problem in the event of an emergency. The supposed on call person did not return any of the pages nor was the answering service able to contact them. It is Houston in 90 plus degree weather which should sum up what's going on in my home. I will definitely be contacting the BBB about them advertising a service they are not providing at a ridiculously upgraded price.

this is an unbelievable scam. Home warranty sent them, agreed my air conditioner needed a new compressor, was to be a $55 deductible. They asked first for $815 for a list of items, then after talking with the home shield people it was to be $400 and wouldn't repair the compressor until i paid this list of items. I refused and am now on two days without air and I am now using a very ethical person who totally can install the whole new air conditioner for $1500. They are such liars and are obviously in cahoots with the warranty people. Oh, and get this, they have to order a compressor??? Houston is the fourth largest city and cannot find a compressor? They have to order through the warranty people and they don't know how long?? My next letter is to bbb.

My insurance company, Home Warranty of America, had Home Pro send someone to check on an AC that was not cooling enough. The problem was a freon leak.
The Home Pro technician, Ray, not only told my tenant to advise me to replace the unit with a better and upgraded one, although it was replaced not too long ago, but recommended that we do the deal directly with him instead of going through the insurance company.
He argued that he could do it faster, with less paperwork, that the insurance company would authorize only cheap parts, etc. Of course, he wanted $2,200 for the job to be paid directly to him etc.
First, he had no business scaring my tenants, second I find it absolutely unethical to try to trick the insurance company that hired him!
Of course, I am filing a complaint to the corresponding parts.
