Nice hike and rarely used. If you have children this is a great trail to use. At the entrance, there is a sizeable park that can be used to accommodate large groups so you may run up against that if you're looking for solitude. The trail is an incline with a meandering creek and several park benches for those who may want to just sit and enjoy nature along the way. Lots of large trees line the trail so that it is well shaded. Watch for embedded rocks along the trail - hike is not recommended for people who need assistance. More than not, the fall is just more than a trickle although torrent after a heavy rainfall. Please note the bulletin board near the park area. There is wildlife in the area and warnings are posted here.

We visited while on a vacation recently. It Has a very nice area for a picnic at the end of the trail. We took a picnic lunch with us that we purchased from a local Deli. You can hike up to the falls.I expected them to be larger so I was disappointed.I enjoyed all the vegetation along the way.Everything was pretty and green. The park is free. Its a wonderful way to spend family time in the great outdoors.Remember to wear comfy shoes.

PROS: Pretty and green
CONS: Hot during the summer months

This is a beautiful place to visit. They have a great recreation area for picnics at the bottom of the trail. There is a hike that takes you up to the falls and it is really beautiful. The falls are small and not really that impressive, but all of the trees and greenery really make it a beautiful hike. It does not cost anything to get into the park, so it is a great way to just spend some time outdoors with the family.
