Right now I'm dealing with their lovely overseas people. What a horror. Here the Observer is another liberal newspapers who think illegals should be allowed amnesty & then they ship their jobs overseas. What's left for Americans?

The Charlotte Observer is a great paper even if you don't live in Charlotte. Their Sunday paper is the best. It's full of coupons, sales papers, and much more. I don't live in Charlotte but I take the Sunday paper because it has so much in it. There's local news, regional news, state news, national news, plus interesting articles concerning all people, places and things. This paper is well worth subscribing to.

The Charlotte Observer contacted me numerous time to offer me newspaper service. I repeatedly told them that I was not interested in receiving a subscription. They then started calling me on my cell phone. I asked politely for them to stop calling that number because it was a cell phone. I asked to be removed from their list. They assured me that I would be removed and apologized. The next day, I received another call. This went on for some time until I finally stopped answering the phone when I saw the number. The eventually stopped calling.

Many times national news is buried in the paper and front page headlines are local news. Often times the reporting has a bias by using words that may or may not describe how a sector of people "feel" about a news item; An example would be the 9/16/09 article regarding ACORN abuses of tax payer funded services and remarking that conservatives were "gleeful" over ACORN employees encoraging a request for affordable housing to be used as a child brothal for underage illegal girls. *** Customer service could be U.S. jobs, but they choose to have oversea's workers take those jobs****(which allows your personal information to be shared with other countries)

Pros: Delivery on time

Cons: Unfair reporting

I bought and paid for a subscription in a local grocery store as a trial only. I paid that day for the numberof papers I wanted to receive with my credit card. This information was kept on file and when the trial subscription ended, they automatically without my knowledge used my credit card to charge me for a renewal of the subscription. I did not get any notice of this and have not gotten any notice to date. I found it on my credit card statement.

Pros: too many tress already around here. This subscription wiped out a few for us.

Cons: Shady business.
