3 Stars: Different type store (by Annette K.)

Mikes Merchandise is a new store in the Auburn area. It is located on Opelika Road. The parking area is large and convenient. The building is huge. I found it overwhelming. They had jeans, shirts, housewares, books and other items. Each area is basically separated, but you still have to dig through it all. The prices are fairly reasonable. If you are looking for something different check out Mikes Merchandise. They have a little of everything.

3 Stars: Interesting store. (by Robin F.)

Mikes has a little bit of everything it seems. I went in there this week looking for a small Christmas tree. I was overwhelmed. First off the store is bare bones - concrete floor, large bins filled with shoes or clothes, large metal shelving. As I was looking I didn't think the prices were great on the clothes. Alot of the prices could be beat in any big department store when they put things on sale. But if you need a polo shirt on the spur of the moment and they aren't on sale at Dillard's you could find one cheaper at Mikes (if they have your size). They had books very reasonably priced. I saw some electronics and I don't think that the prices were great on those since alot of time you can good deals at Walmart or Target on printers and such. Overall it is an interesting store but I don't think I would shop there often. If you like the hunt for some obscure bargain it is a great hunting ground.
