Skillets

I love going here. They had amazing decor and the staff was the most energetic staff I have ever come across. The have a kids eat free night every once in a while and its always so good.

My wife and I have gone to many different places in Abilene. We kept going to chains mainly. It was about 5 years since we were at skillets. The food wasn't the best and service not so good. It was real different this time. Some friends told us it was good. We went and had the dinner buffet on a friday nite. It was a small buffet but the food was real good and top notch. lots of meats and pasta not so much vegetables. The dessert was very good.
It was good enough that we took family for Sunday brunch. The breakfast buffet was real good. They mad fresh pecan buns and homemade sticky buns. Our waitress said it was different every week. The prices were reasonable too. A couple of us had steak and shrimp or chicken fry steak. Everyone was happy and service was great. The only thing is the place is a little dated. The new people are remodeling a bit at a time. The bathrooms are old, but they were clean! Its obvious somebody is doing a job here.
