I have always had a very hairy back and shoulder area. I have tried many techniques for removal including: Nair, waxing, and shaving. All of these processes have their drawbacks, but the biggest being? None are permanent. I finally found SCMS laser hair removal located in Orange County. I required six treatments on my back and shoulders. The procedures were fast, easy and way less painful than waxing. The results are great and I would defiantly recommend this procedure to anyone considering it.

I am happy that I made the decision to have laser hair removal. I am getting the results that I want. There is about 75% hair loss in the bikini area and I still have several more treatments to go. The staff is very friendly & kind and always made me feel comfortable.

I have had good results and have about 80% hair loss on my upper body!! The pain is a bit more than they let on, but just breath! I am dark and that had an effect on my results, but a few touch up treatments will take care of it!!! I had my whole upper body done and it is like I am seeing a new body in the mirror. The staff is wonderful and really take care of your every need

Like many people posting on here, I spent countless hours researching about hair removal treatments and facilities. I was somewhat skeptical until I stumbled across South Coast Med Spa's website. The website answered all my questions and gave me a good sense of ease about spending money on any treatment. The website also contained comprehensive videos which also prepared me for what I should expect when I was to undergo my treatments. SCMS has an unrivaled staff; Everyone I have encountered has been very friendly, and most importantly, they're all well educated and trained in the procedures that they're doing. I've had two treatments on my chest and my results were surprising. The amount of hair that grew back was significantly less than before, and the hairs that did grow back were much finer than before. If I have seen these great results with only being 1/3 of the way done, I can only imagine how much progress I'm going to see with my next treatment!

Cons: Parking on weekdays can be tricky.

I had been hesitant about getting hair removal for a while because of the price and pain factor. After doing some research and talking to some friends, I decided to go with SCMS for my hair removal in my arm pits and bikini area. They made me feel so comfortable, price was reasonable, and they worked with my specific needs. It turns out, it wasn't painful at all! The staff gives you very good advice on how to prepare and it was seriously exciting to get my treatments -- and watch as the hair went away each time! I no longer have to think about shaving on a regular basis and don't have any more dreadful bumps to worry about. If you're thinking about hair removal, go with the best! SCMS!

I just finshed my 4th appointment with southcoast medspa in oc - i've been getting my back/chest & shoulders treated. I don't have much on my back or shoulders, but enough to irritate me to have to clean it up every so often....the treatment feels like small rubberband snaps and after every treatment gets red for a couple of days and then the hair is gone..for nearly weeks. Every appointment my results get thinner & thinner and I'm only on #4! Go to them - their laser people talk and make you laugh so much you don't even realize you're getting zaped w/a laser!

I was one of those who would get ingrown hairs EVERY time I shaved my bikini line. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and started researching laser hair removal treament centers online. As soon as I found SCMS, I knew it was the place for me. All the techs are RNs and are very professional. The staff is great and always take me in on time for my appointment. Best of all, my results are amazing! I have had 5 out of my 6 treatments done and I can honestly say that I have not had an ingrown hair since I started my treaments! And, I only have about 15% hair left! I paid for a package deal for my underarms and brazilian bikini zone and it was very reasonably priced. As soon as I am completely satisfied with my hair loss for my under arms and bikini area, I'm going to do my legs!

When I first went to SMCS, I had alot of doubts about what results or what kind of experience I was going to have. Thankfully, the savvy people at SCMS made it all easy for me. I went in there for hair removal for my chest, abs, back, shoulders and upper arms. I am now on my 5th treatment and I have seen results that I never imagined. I have been to the facilities of Newport and Los Angeles, and the quality of service was of no difference. Make sure that you get your numb cream, which is at a $28, which to me is worth it because it has made my experience more comfortable and more enjoyable. For guys who are doubtful about it, I tell you that your confidence to go to the beach and show off your muscles will improve greatly. My wife loves the results now. I was promised at least a 75% reduction of the hair, and instead I have experience an unbeliavable 95% decrease of body hair! My confidence level is up and I am enjoying my new look. Thanks SMCS! =)

I am so glad and thanklful I decided to do my research before getting laser hair removal because Im confident I chose the right place! I opted to get the Brazilian done, which is everything below the belt. Naturally I was really scared about how much it was going to hurt, if I was going to have any negative side effects and if it would even work?! I went into my consultation and the staff at SCMS is so professional I spoke with the manager as well as one of the technicians and they answered any and every question I had (and trust me I had a lot!)

The sessions dont hurt as much as you may think, there is a numbing cream available. Also the entire lasering process for the Brazilian takes less than 20 minutes! SO much easier than waxing or shaving, I just had my second laser treatment (6 is recommended) and Ive already seen a 25% reduction! Im so happy I decided to go to SCMS and Im really excited I can see a difference right away!

It is definitely not as pricey as some other places Ive seen on the internet and sometimes they will even offer coupons on their website so make sure you check back frequently! My boyfriend loves the results and I love not having to shave or wax and get those nasty ingrown hairs! Plus in the long run it saves you a lot of money considering every waxing session I went to was over 50 bucks! And I would go twice a month! Now i never have to get waxed again :)

I'm asian with dark hair and fair skin who had a wish for hairless underarms during the summer. I found South Coast MedSpa's fabulous website online and knew immediately that I could trust them to do the job. After only six treatments, my underarm hair is completely gone! I don't have to shave and deal with the discomfort anymore!! I even signed up for my bikini and am so happy I did. Now I can wear sleeveless shirts and dresses and slip into a bikini any time of the year without worrying about embarrassing hair.

I was first attracted to SCMS for their fabulous prices and packages - definitely the most affordable place for laser hair removal in OC! The staff was great - loved the nurses... scheduling can be a bit tough if you have to reschedule because they are so booked up, but they have a lot of flexibility about night and weekend appointments. My results are finally where I am satisfied, only took 7 treatments... the pain is worse than I expected, but the staff does their best to make it bearable with numbing cream and ice packs. The managers were great with me when I wasn't fully satified after my package of 6 treatments was done. The ambiance of the office is less than ideal - looks more like an office than a "spa," but for the price that mattered less to me than the results. Overall, I'm very happy I went and I recommend SCMS!

This place has literally changed my life! I used to go the gym and be embarrased
by people looking at my hair sticking out of my shirt. I avoided going to the beach,
sports activities, and just being myself. It would literally affect my self esteem. SCMS
was friendly and professional from the very first phone conversation. They have a very
knowledgable medical staff that helped me achieve amazing results. The staff worked very closely
with me throughout the entire process. They explained everything step by step. Two years later after my treatments I've seen amazing results. I don't have to worry about hair sticking out of my shirt. I feel confident of whether I'm at the beach or anywhere. I strongly recommend SCMS.

I am a good looking dude who's only insecurity over the years have been my acne scars. Going through high school with bad acne was bad enough but taking scars with me me through part of my adult life caused me to seek out laser treatment. After meeting Damon and the staff at South Coast MedSpa I was convinced that laser treatment would make a significant difference on my skin. I run a high volume cafe in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach and missing time from work was a big issue for me and I couldn't afford a long recovery period. I felt no pain at all from the laser and only missed four days of work (Friday through Monday). After the slight redness faded I was complimented daily by friends,family, and customers. I am very happy with the results and I plan to have one more procedure which I believe will completely repair all scar damage. I have been living with my scaring from 24 until the age of 30 and the prospect of having perfect skin is really exciting. I recommend SCMS to anybody who is looking to remove acne scars and boost their self confidence.

For hair removal, they're fine. For tattoo removal, it's like someone there took a weekend course at the mall and then remembered "most of" what they learned as they explained to everyone else in the office how to do it. You can just tell when a place like this is trying something new and not used to how it works and that was definitely the case. I know it's not supposed to feel good, but it hurt way, way, way more than it should have. I know because I had another tattoo removed at a dermatologists office a few years ago and it didn't feel anything like this. I'm actually looking for another place to go to for hair removal because my experience with tattoo removal here was so bad. I'm not saying anyone else should do that, I mean if you like having your hair removed here then great, but DO NOT COME HERE FOR TATTOO REMOVAL. At least wait a while until they've experimented on someone else and figured out what they're doing.

SCMS has a fantastic friendly staff that really knows what they are doing. They especially know how to treat their clients right! I've been working with Damon and I could not ask for better! The nurses are all excellent and really know their job, don't be afraid to ask questions about what's going on and how you're doing.

I would recommend SCMS to anyone and everyone interested!!!

On a Friday evening I had the laser resurfacing procedure done at SCMS and I couldn't be happier with the results. The friendly staff explained the whole procedure and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. A friend and his wife had a similar procedure some years ago and he regaled my with his horror story of red oozing skin and a 10 week recovery. After my procedure, I was a little red over the weekend and by Wednesday the peeling was over and I was amazed at the difference. The large pores were gone as were my crowsfeet and some old acne scars. I am 65 and people tell me I now look no more than 40!

I am an 18 year old swimmer. It has been a great experience and I recommend anyone who has a lot of hair to do the treatments. They have made me more confident and I can finally take off my shirt and not have to worry about people looking at me. I can finally fight my hairy genetics.

I purchased the 6 treatment package when I began. I was not very happy with the first 2 or 3 treatments. Not until I had Yasmine. Since her, Ive only tried to request her for all my treatments. She does a very thorough job. If I had her for all my treatments, I don't think touch-ups would be necessary after my package was used up.

I guess this is the case with most hair removal centers out there, you would think that you go to a place who has enough experience and can learn from that to better serve their clients.

well NO, they have a better ( money making system) idea, they'll start blank page with each new customer.
they'll start with the lowest settings possible so it will not be efficient enough so the first 2 treatments you paid for getting them on track ( instead of comparing skin types, hair diameter etc.) it's like money to the garbage.

now on the third treatment and up they'll do the job like it's suppose to be.

if you do go there, have them test your area in different settings, go home come back with the best settings for you.

not sure if they will let you do that but it's worth a try. I've wasted 2000 dollars on their incompetent practices

if money is not an issue for you. - go there. if it is i would probably go else where.
the main problem is that most if not ALL hair removal centers are a like, they take advantage of the fact that their clients cling to the possibility they can help them so why not take advantage of that.

for example they could have give you the same service in 60% of the cost, the remaining 40% goes to the "testing" (toilet).

Hi my name is JUSTIN, this message goes out to the millions and millions of people with the same acne/redness/scaring problem that I've had for the past 7 year's well my "FRIENDS, NO MORE". I'm a 24 year old actor who has used all those product's on T.V. ,on the internet and with tons of Doctors, all of which have set me up with disappointment, so i did want any other person suffering with bad acne did. I went the to two of the suppose best MEDICAL "LASER" Doctors in L.A. & B.HILLS. Before i went to these two doctor's I read there back grounds and heard their endless radio commericals, yeah you know which one's i'm talking about . Both of them way over charged me, one charged me 7,000 for 8 treatments and the other 4,900 for 5 treatments, in the end day they both said i need more treatments, I stormed out of BOTH their office's and told myself never again. We'll 4 year's passed by, I heard about South Coast Med Spa on the radio, I laughed and said yeah right! but as week's went by somthing small inside of me said check it out and just talk to them. GUESS WHAT HAPPEN NEXT? "YES" I DID it again, I GOT 4 TREATMENT's at HALF THE PRICE OF THOSE OTHER TWO CLOWNS. Finally after year's and year's of crying and hiding my face from the public and even myselft, I can go outside, i can have fun with my friends at nightclubs and "YES", I CAN FINALLY GO IN FRONT OF THE MOVIE CAMARA'S AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING! I have been suffering with Acne Scar for years and have spent thousands of dollars at doctors from Beverly Hills to La Jolla, so when a friend told me to check out South Coast MedSpa i was a skeptic. Let me tell you that South Coast MedSpa turned my frown upside down. I was pleasantly surprised when they made me feel comfortable and did not try to pressure me at all, they were running the best special and I wanted to take advantage of it. They were patient and educated me on all of my options and spent extra time anwsering my questions. Eventually I was convinced to give them a try and I am glad I did. After 3 laser acne scar treatments my face is as smooth as a babies behind. I am a successful actor and the treatments at South Coast MedSpa certainly helped my self confidence and my career get to the next level. I went to several places for consultations (including American Laser Center, which I did not like) prior to selecting SCMS. SCMS had great customer service and provided answers to all my questions. Only registered nurses perform their treatments, and their prices are very reasonable. Their hours are very convenient (including late evenings) and they are very prompt with their appointments. I purchased the full body hair removal package and I'm extremely happy with the results. I had received the same treatment at a different center a few years back and my experience at SCMS has been far more pleasant and the results far more effective. I HIGHLY recommend SCMS for hair removal.

I have been looking for a good laser hair removal place for a along time. I was very skeptical because I had a couple of bad experiences prior to going to South Coast Medspa. But from the moment I called, I found them very professional and caring. They guided me through the whole process. I noticed results from the first treatment. When I completed my full body laser hair removal package, I was amazed!! I love having smooth legs all the time and now that summer is here, it's been great! If you're looking for a good laser hair removal place with reasonable prices, this is the one!

I will never go back there again. This place is a medspa not a real medical office. I saw their special and I thought is was so cheap, but you get what you pay for. I never saw Dr. Christian Jagusch. Then I find out that Dr. Christian Jagusch just works in the Emergency Room. Obviously, no experience in acne laser treatment. I got no results for my acne. South Coast Medspa is probably only good for hair removal. But, I found out the hard way that hair lasers are not for acne. Just another Doctor trying to sell his name to a laser company. Go somewhere else. I found a place in Orange. Do your research.

Each appointment has been great! The Nurses that have treated me with the lasers are very skilled, and my results are amazing.
