We had dinner at Sweetwater on a Saturday night. I had to send back the first glass of cabernet, because it smelled and tasted like it belonged on a salad, not in a glass. The bread that was brought to the table had unincorporated, dry, flour in the middle. The appetizer, slices of pear wrapped in prosciutto and grilled, was overcooked; the proscuitto was more like turkey bacon after being cremated. We also had the poached pear salad with candied walnuts and goat cheese. The pear was poached in vinegar and was inedible. The candied walnuts were soggy and coated with anise flavored sugar; likewise inedible. I had the meatloaf, which was O.K., with good garlic mashed potatoes, but the vegetable was awful--hard, wrinkled cold peas with slices of flabby cold carrots. My dinner companion had veal saltambucca, which was TOUGH and rubbery. Both the meatloaf and the veal seemed to have the same gravy. We didn't try any desserts.
Our server took the wine and the inedible salad off of our tab, but didn't seem to want to know much about our reasons for sending them back.
I'm a very good cook, so I don't need to go out to feed myself. I go out to enjoy good food in a nice ambience. Don't waste your money at Sweetwater.

This was my second time coming to Sweetwater for a private party.

The first time I remember them having a bunch of different appetizers for us all of which were decent, nothing to really rave about but did the job.

Recently I came here for a cocktail party, we didn't have the appetizers, BUT they hooked it up with drink specials for our event which were amazing. They also accommodated our DJ and dancing space!!

This is a good place to check out if you are planning a small/medium sized private party.
