Peak CIty Grill seems overpriced for the quality of the food. Our cream of broccoli soup and lobster roll starters were good as was the ice bleu wedge. After that, not so much. The 10 oz. porterhouse pork chop was more like 6 - 8 oz.

Keep in mind we went on a Tuesday night....not a weekend. We were originally informed by the hostess it would be 20-30mn before we were seated. After 50mn I asked the hostess how much longer to which she responded "you're the next table". No problem. After two more tables are seated I approach the hostess station and the manager tells me those were reservations waiting to be seated (still doesn't explain the 1+hr we've been waiting). The one brightside is the bartender saw our frustration and comped some drinks. Ordered steaks which took 30+ mn to arrive. What was suppose to be bone-in steaks have no bones. Waiter's response to this is "huh, guess you got the wrong steaks". Nothing is adjusted on our bill. Bottom-line is I could think of better places to spend $100 and 3hrs of my time.

This restaurant should be good. It is beautifully designed and decorated and even with great outdoor space. Unfortunately, it is over priced with terrible service and so-so food. Latest experience, will be last. Asked for items several times without ever receiving. Advertised specials were not available. New menu is weird and not tasty. I'm not surprised, as this has been the 'norm' for this restaurant for awhile, just disappointed. I want to like it, but I've completely lost faith. I'll be surprised if it is open May 2011. Try any other restaurant on Salem Street for a better experience.

Enjoyable place to go for a ladies lunch. Nice, light options for lunch entrees and an atmosphere that's conducive to hanging out and catching up. Downtown Apex is such a quaint place to spend a weekday afternoon.

I made reservations for the first time with this restaurant. My time was 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7:50 and were told that our table would be ready momentarily. Finally at 8:30 we were seated and that was only after standing in front of the hostess demanding that things hurry up. When we were seated, we were beside a table of 20 who had young kids that were moving from seat to seat. The prices on the menu are not cheap and had this place been a burger joint, I would not have minded the atmosphere at all. However, for these prices, I think more consideration should have been given to our seating. I did not stay to order, leaving after we had eaten our appetizer. If you want to go just hang out a drink a beer, this place is fine. If you are looking for a nice intimate dinner, stay away by all means!

Small portions and poor quality food. Lousy service. My meal was prepared incorrectly.

My steak was overcooked and too tough to eat. i just paid the bill and left. Went down the street for some great pizza.

Save your money and go somewhere that really cares about food preparation and what the customer wants.

i see this place out of business in about 6months.

This place has changed for the better in the past six months ! I remember it was sorta slow and ritzy last Spring, but the last time I went there there were a couple of great dinner specials, even a free wine tasting that night, and a very *friendly* staff. OK, so they took a little long to get my second drink...Anyway I heard from the bartender that they now have a new head chef and he is GOOD I have tried several of the new dishes ,, wow!. so I love going there now especially for stuff like a getting together with a couple of friends looking for a place we can actually hear ourselves talk and know we can get what we pay for.

We had a great girl's night out here awhile back. The drinks were very good. Most of us had steak of some kind, and while good, it was quite pricey.

On Friday, April 10, four of us went to Peak City for dinner. The food and service was good throughout the evening until dessert. My husband and I ordered a tawney port. What was brought to us was dark purple and very grapey in taste, NOT a tawney. I questioned the waiter, who took my drink back to the bar. When he returned, he said, the bartender says we have no tawney port so gave you a port and did not think you would notice! I could not believe that he admitted this, but at least the waiter was honest. This made us wonder about the bartender and owner.

My family and I just went to the Easter Sunday brunch buffet. Half of the buffet was emptied out of food, and never got restocked. Prime rib was sliced as thin as sandwich meat. We paid over $20 and felt like it was worth $8.95. Lots of low priced items, grits, potatoes, muffins...well what was not already emptied! Could have done better at any other restaurant for a fraction of the price! There were no busboys, so hostesses were cleaning tables, at a very slow pace...we waited almost 30 minutes for a table when we had a reservation. This place really falls apart when they get busy!

Similar to Golden Corral, except for the lack of efficiency and good food. The workers were trying but they were way over their capacity to effectively serve customers. Long lines, empty buffet trays, below average food, high prices. They probably made a killing on Sunday, but lost many potential long term customers. Very disappointed and I won't be back.

I came in Monday for the first time. I ate dinner at the bar since the dinner room was busy. The bartender I believe his name was Patrick was very friendly and knowledgeable
of wine and the menu. The food was excellent I did not except to find a place like this in Apex. It is certainly a hidden gem.

Food was average taste, and very tiny. We were still hungry when we left. For the price we should have gone to Biaggi's in Cary and had a much better experience all the way around.

Terrible from start to finish! Bad service, filet - not cheap! - is wrapped in bacon and not indicated as such on the menu. I would never have ordered it! Then trying to tell me that is how filet is served, come on. I was insulted. They didn't take it off the bill. Poor service. We will never go back - money down the drain!

I've eaten here a couple of times and have enjoyed it immensely. The beef medallions and garlic mashed potatoes are wonderful. The staff is always helpful and professional. When I have out-of-state guests, I always take them to this restaurant.

Sorry but this is no Ruth's Chris or even Angus Barn yet the prices seem to indicate that they are. I also think the prior two mentioned are overpriced as well. Kids menu - $8, small Filet $29, come on. If people will pay they will survive but we found it nothing special for the prices charged. I'll admit that I don't like paying a lot for food and am not a big eater but this rest. has no real options that offer any form of value. $100 for an 'entertaining' dinner is ok if that's what you want.

We love this place. The atmosphere is upbeat normally with piano player providing entertainment. We go here both for a family night out with our 2 year old, and when we manage to escape and have a more cosy meal for a couple. They are great with our son, and the kids menu is proper food not just the standard offering of mac and cheese and fried stuff.
The adult food is good, want something simple - choose from the grill, want to try something new have a go at the main menu.
Love it!!

BUT THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT.

yes. the atmosphere inside is awesome, beautiful bar inside, rustice wood floors, walls, etc. and nice outdoor eats off beautiful downtown apex.

but... food is bad and small portions.
food is far to expensive and you pay for all side items.
service is slow/bad.

we never went back.
hey, the mexican restaurant 6 doors down is a much better experience.

I have eaten here a few times. The menu always has an interesting appetiser. The service is gracious without being stuffy. I love the decor and the lighting.
It has become a reliable destination for a great meal. I live out in the country and fine dining is hard to find.
the food is just ok at the chains(Ruby Tuesday, Fridays, etc.) and the service is ignorant. I think PCG is a gem.

From the signature appetizers to a variety of ever changing and scrumptious main course selections, Peak City Grill and Bar is a favorite among our friends and family. The atmosphere is perfect for any type of event whether it's celebrating birthday's or just spending time with your family over a fantastic meal. The management and staff are always welcoming and the overall experience will keep you coming back time and time again!!!

My wife and I have been to Peak City many times for dinner and a few times for Sunday Brunch after church and each time, we can say we have enjoyed our dining experience. We love the fact that there is such a nice restaurant with great atmosphere in such a historic little piece of the Triangle. Each time we have been for dinner there has been a nice vibe in the air and the staff has always been top notch. The bar is incredible with a great wine list and an extensive microbrew selection (which changes quite frequently which is nice). I myself am a fan of a nice steak and I find PCG's filet to be one of the best in area. I like the fact that they give you many different options on how you would like it prepared (i.e. Rub, Oscar Style...). For me the only thing lacking for this place is the size. The downstairs could be a bit bigger around the bar area and the outside porch is too small for when the weather is ideal. It's too bad that the upstairs is currently renovated for office spaces, because that would be a great space for an open air Bar/Lounge.
Also, if they could find a good local DJ to come in once in awhile for a "special night of music/dancing" that might help created some additional atmosphere for the "locals".

To me, a good restaurant is more than just food. It is ambiance, it is the service?in short it is the experience. It goes without saying that this little nook has incredible food?trust me, it does. I promise you?ll want to go back. But that?s just the beginning. The service was superb, too. We were greeted at the door by a hostess that was very warm and friendly. Our waitress was nice, too, and the service was on the spot. The room was also very beautiful-- warm and nicely decorated. There was a wonderful large bar and plenty of comfortable seating areas--All of this in a charming old brick building in the heart of downtown. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and I had the special of the day. Both meals were delicious and we couldn?t stop sampling each other?s plates! All in all it was a nice, relaxing time.

While you are visiting don?t forget to see the rest of this charming town, but don?t leave without having a bite in this charming restaurant.

Peak City was the highlight of my recent trip to the Apex area. The food was very good and the service was fantastic. The bread was delicious and warm. Both of our meals were outstanding. Peak City is a must whenever you are in Apex. Don't miss it!

My husband and I went for dinner the first time. We ordered a bottle of champagne and the server didn't know how to open it. OK, no biggie, but the staff should be trained on these things. We were suprised a the food prices - very pricy and everything ala carte. We ordered veal oscar and our server asked how we would like the veal prepared. We told her we would take the chef's recommendation. She came back and told us that they have 2 chefs and they didn't agree on how it should be prepared!!! When the food came, it was mediocre at best. Very little flavor and the first time I've had veal oscar with no sauce. it was just a piece of veal with some pretty tasteless crabmeat and a piece of asparagus sitting on top. After a year and friends raving about the place we decided to give it another chance. This time for lunch with a group of 8. We called ahead to make sure we would be able to sit outside when we arrived. The hostess assured us that it would not be a problem. When we arrived she had a look of panic on her face and told us that another group had just gotten there and insisted that they give them the table and that they can't take reservations for outside...seems she should've said that on the phone if that were the case. We decided to stay anyway and they took 15 minutes to set up a table for us despite being not very busy. The food when it finally arrived was not bad, although the crab and corn chowder that we all ordered was actually clam chowder without a word mentioned about this. So for us it's 2 strikes and you are out...

I love the atomosphere of this place and it's great to stop in for a drink.

But the customer service is very poor. My husband are regulars, so when I called to arrange a private room for an event, I was suprised that I had to call and call to get someone to call me back! I had to practically beg to bring them a private party!

After hosting events at the Angus Barn and at Second Empire, I was so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service!

Bottom line, it's a good place for a drink after work or for date night, but it's not a place to trust your special evenings to.

The four of us went to Peak City Grill recently and as much as I hate to say this--mainly because Apex really needs places like this--I've never had a more horrible experience for the money we had to spend.
To start off with our server Brooke, (who was totally rude throughout the evening, ) let us know that we needed to hurry up and order because the kitchen was getting ready to close. Maybe we should have been told beforehand that there were time restraints, but that's just me. I would rather not be seated at all than to get sat and then told to hurry it up. Especially at the prices they have for the quality of food that comes out.
So we ordered in a hurry ,thank you, and also ordered a round of drinks. The round of drinks didn't come anytime soon and we asked Brooke what the delay was .Well, she got really huffy with us and said they were "busy" and there were a lot of drink orders but she would find out. And that it may be a minute or two. It turned out to be about 10 minutes and when our delightful server finally got them to us, it was as if we had done something wrong. Absolutely the rudest service I have ever had.
As was agreed by my date and her two co-workers that were with us.
I'm not gonna blame the whole business on the behavior of one young person, but they may want to reconsider some of their hires. It was downright bad.
The food wasn't horrible, but certainly not worth the price they were charging.
What a joke.
I can't wait for somebody to open up something in town that has good food, good prices and good service. Something that Peak City isn't offering.

There were 6 girls total. All we wanted was to have a drink and celebrate our friends birthday with dessert. We were rudely treated. Waitress rolled her eyes when we told her what she could expect, drinks and dessert. We had the worst martinis in the world. Glass was not even chilled. When I questioned if there was any alcohol in my cosmo, the waitress snapped and asked me if I even knew what a cosmo was. We ordered 1 dessert and our checks were on the table before the dessert was. This was UNACCEPTABLE!!!! The manager was even a bigger dissappointment. We promptly left. We walked right across the street to CIAO! We explained that we just wanted one drink and a dessert. The waitress was curteous, service was impeccable compaired to Peak. My advice, bypass Peak and head straight to Ciao!

I felt like I had to write in response to a couple negative reviews I read which I didn't think were indicative of the restaurant at all-
I met a couple girlfriends here for drinks the other night and we loved the atmosphere so much we stayed all night & had not just drinks but apps, a full dinner, & desserts. We shared a couple appetizers: shrimp baked right into a hush puppy and bruschetta & I had grouper which had amazing risotto served with it. I thought the menu had a lot of vaiety and I tried all the other entrees we ordered and wasn't disappointed in anything. It's true it's not cheap and if that's what you're after than yeah, I guess Ruby Tuesday's is the way to go (ugh). But you're paying for the whole experience and mine was completely worth it!

Pros: Great bar & overall atmosphere

Cons: apex is kinda far...

Definately not worth the prices that they are charging. We went on a Thursday night and it was kind of slow. The service was fine. The food was nothing great. Nothing seemed very fresh or very unique or even very good. We wanted to avoid a chain restaurant and try something different but by the end we were regretting that decision and would have loved to have gone to Ruby Tuesday or Fridays instead.

I have been to this place a few times. Some of there dishes are a little pricey but they always taste great and the portions are just right.

One issue I have is that they need to improve their service, if they want people to continue going there, the food took quite a while to come out and when we needed our waitress she was no where to be found.

However, it really is a nice place to take your family.

Everytime we have gone, they have a limited bar menu going which has 4 items, none of which I wanted to try. I asked the very unfriendy staff what time they stop the full menu on weekend days and got response of when they feel like it it slow. So who knows what time to go to this place! Funny, we were only offered this limited menu and asked to go inside to get our own drinks while a few tables around us got service and even food that was not on the 4 items offered to us. So, we decided to order a drink each and leave. Went to the bar to pay and it was about $19 for 2 drinks! I was so disappointed in the service, limited menu and the price, we won't be going back ever. This is too bad as it is so close to us. We went about 5 miles away, had 2 meals and 5 total drinks for only $10 more!

My wife and I love going to Peak City Grill. It is a great place in Apex. Normally. we sit at the bar and order appetizers. We never really liked the entrees--very plain. However, the appetizers are great. They have a great drink menu at the bar. So, we normally order some fancy drinks and 3-4 appetizers and have a great time.

I have taken my wife and business clients to the Peak City Grill and Bar. Each time the experience has been fantastic. Their events are a lot of fun and create an unique time. My wife and I went to their late seating for New Years Eve. It was a full house. They did a 5 course meal with wine servings. The way the staff worked together and served everyone was a true testimony of teamwork in action. I enjoy the food and atmosphere.

See the link below to see why this restaurant got a low grade.

I think the restaurant WANTS to be a 5 star but falls short.
Very over priced for pretty good food.
Very disappointing.

My husband and I went to Peak City on a Friday night for our "date night". The atmosphere was lively and energetic with a piano player and crowded bar. We were pleasantly greeted by the host staff and waited approx. 30 minutes for a table (not bad). We requested to be seated upstairs, as the noise level downstairs was not conducive for conversation, and we were happy with the table we were given. Had delicious crab dip appetizer, wedge salad was pretty good. I ordered shrimp and grits and was very pleased with the taste and also the fact that I could get a small plate for $13, which I still could not finish. My husbands dish however, while tasty, did seem quite overpriced - $29 for a small portion of filet, mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall a satisfactory dinner, but nothing special for $100.

This is a must go restaurant in downtown Apex. It is a little pricey, but for $23 on Sunday nights you get an appetizer to share, a salad, an entree, and dessert, and it's all fabulous. The Tuesday night couple special is similar, but no dessert for 43 per couple, but offer a better appetizer (the smoked salmon spread was quite good and the classic peak city chips are very unique but delicious). Their cedar plank salmon is the best salmon I've ever had (and I've gotten it at many upscale places) with a brown mustard glaze, it just melted in my mouth. You will not be disappointed with this meal. Their jumbo lump crab cake was also excellent. My boyfriend's chicken dish was less good, it tasted too strongly of olives but it was still alright, just not my favorite. And they have $3 a glass or $9 a bottle specials on these nights, a steal, it is decent wine for that price. The environment is very nice, feels a little rustic and aged but still elegant and clean. One of my new favorite restaurants that I've discovered, makes a great elegant date at a much more affordable price!

My girlfriend and I went to Peak for dinner. Our waiter smelled like alcohol and was hitting on both of us. Since when do restaurants allow employees to drink on the job or come to work smelling like they have been drinking? Disgusting. I believe his name was Patrik or Phillip...We will not be back to this place! What a turn off and disgrace to the Apex community!

This is one of our favorite places to eat. The atmophere is nice and we have always had great service. Check out the web site before you go because they do change their menu frequently. We like to go when they have the couples dinner that includes the appetizer and dessert. Some entrees may be a little pricey but the ones I have tried have been very good.

Went to dinnerwith friends. Length of dinner was 2 hours, this did not include socializing. I am not sure exactly how long we waited for food, but it was fairly long. It was a friday night, so we did expect that. Not a huge deal. 2 of us ordered the beef medallions because we felt the price for a la carte was very high if we ordered steak alone-- BUT THEY WERE AWESOME!!!! We are glad we did !! Our friends were happy with what they ordered (i do not remember- but they enjoyed it- one may have been a fish meal). We are willing to pay high prices for great meat; we just the steak meals came with the side already :O) They 2nd floor is a little quieter. We hope to come back and try new items on the menu-- but we are going to order those beef medallions again soon! keep up the good work. We do wish the prices were slightly lower. We have had great meals for better deals and we would love to keep giving you our service instead. We would love to support the hometown folks. Thank you.

We showed up at 8:45 on a Sunday night for dinner; they close at 9. The hostess promptly informs us at the door that if we want to eat dinner, we'd have to order quickly.

Excuse me? As a guest of your business in the *hospitality industry* I am immediately greeted with a "hurry the heck up and order" proclamation? Wow.

No "good evening folks", no "welcome to Peak City Grill", no "how are you folks this evening" -- just a "we're closing in awhile so hurry up, eat, and get out".

I'm amazed at how these places stay in business with "hospitality" like this.

Needless to say, we promptly walked out and proceeded to have a wonderful dinner at Daniel's in Apex, where the host greeted us with a hello and a smile and the Waitress was equally eager to serve us. Apparently they actually want our money there, and they too close at 9:00.

I will not return to Peak City Grill, but I will return to Daniel's.

Let me first say that I have served in restaurants for over 10 years, including fine dining, and I am an avid cook. That said I am not all that critical about eating out. I become critical when the food is very expensive. Peak City is probably the most overpriced meal I have ever eaten, and I lived in Sarasota, FL for five years. We just ate there tonight and I am so frustrated. We cancelled reservations at a different restaurant to eat there based on the reviews on this website. I wish we hadn't. The food was actually pretty good, not great but good. I had Linguine with Clam Sauce and my husband had a Ribeye. The steak was $24 and a la carte. That's a Ruth's Chris price, but the flavor didn't touch a good steak house. My linguine was very good but not at all what I expected even though I asked the server to describe it. I almost shared it with my daughter and I am so glad I didn't because it was really spicy. I happen to like spicy food but I don't understand why that didn't come up prior to me ordering it. We paid $8 for a bowl of buttered noodles for my daughter. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was over breaded and over fried which made it greasy instead of light like it should be. The wine menu is a little lacking by the glass (for the white's) and that said they only pour about 10 by the glass and the servers had absolutely no knowledge about them. That is simply unacceptable. When I asked our server about the wine he told me he didn't drink wine. I don' t care if you drink wine or not it is very easy to learn basic descriptions. I ended up ordering a glass of something french that tasted like pear water and had to send it back. If the meal cost about 30% less I would have left pretty happy and only slightly annoyed at the server's lack of knowledge (they were attentive). When I spend $120 I expect superior knowledge about the food & wine. The atmosphere and entertainment were nice and I would return only for drinks & apps.

First time diner at the Peak City Grill and Bar in Downtown Apex, NC tonight.. All I can say is WOW!! What a wonderful "discovery" of this two-year-old restaurant in a renovated 1905 building that has housed a hardware store and other businesses but is now this locally owned stunningly fantastic restauraunt. The history and decor are described at the Peak City Grill's website. Also you can find more information about their live entertainment , outstanding wine list, outdoor dining area (only area allowing smoking) and lunch and catering offerings. But what I want to talk about are the absolutely delicious dinner selections served at this delightful restaurant!

The appetizers tried tonight by myself and my guest were the Asparagus Cigars, very young asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and grilled plus hollandaise sauce, and the crispy fried oysters. These appetizers are both to die for! Simply outstanding! Perfectly cooked, both of them! The Chicken Rockefeller entre, chicken stuffed with spinach, scallions and bacon on pesto mashed potatoes may sound like a "dull dish" but it was - is - the most mouthwatering, tasty , perfectly cooked poultry dish I have eaten in a Triangle area restaurant and have been here a long time. (My guest and I both ordered and very much enjoyed the chicken rockefeller dish!) Had to top off this wonderful meal with the Chocolate Chip Dirby Pie -another 5 star winner! We both want very much to return and try as many other of the Peak's dinner (or Lunch) offerings as possible because we expect each one will be a culinary delight as these were! Oh - and the service was totally first rate.

This visit convinced my guest and myself that Downtown Apex has one of the best restaurants in all of the Triangle! BIg kudos to the owners, the chef, and the wait staff for the Peak City Grill's excellence!

This was our first visit to Peak City Grill & Bar and we couldn't have been happier! We were looking for a restaurant with an eclectic menu and wine list, good atmosphere and good service. Well, we found it! We had reservations for 7:30pm but arrived a bit early to check out the bar. The hostess told us to take our time and to let her know when we were ready. The Stoli martinis were made perfectly. Once seated, our server, Lisa, was very attentive, and walked us through the specials, as well as the extensive menu. We asked for suggestions, and she explained the aging and preparation (sauces, rubs, etc.) of the steaks. I got a filet with a peppercorn melange rub, along with a side of sauteed spinach. My husband got the boneless ribeye with a porcini mushroom rub and a side of sweet potato fries. Our wine, a old vine zin, was incredible. Thanks for a great list of choices! At no time did we feel rushed. The service was attentive, but not intrusive.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you would like a relaxing evening with great food and service, we strongly suggest giving Peak City Grill & Bar a try!

I visited the Peak City Grill with my husband last night and was very surprised at the level of service and the quality of food. I am in sales and travel all over and this restaurant is as good if not better than most restaurants we attend for corporate events. I really enjoyed their new menu last night. The manager was quick to come by and check to see how our meal was and to seeif he or the staff could get us anything to make our evening more enjoyable. I watched him check tables throughout the night and this type of caring doesn't happen in most restaurants. Thank you Peak city for a wonderful evening and we definitely will send all our clients your way.

I've dined at Peak City Grill & Bar on several occasions and always found the food and service to be excellent. However, my experience there on Sunday, May 27, 2007, was far from satisfactory. We arrived at around 7:30 for dinner and were told we should wait in the bar and have an appetizer and they would have a table for us in about 45 minutes. The place was nearly empty, so we told them we'd walk around outside and return later. We were waved inside after about 20 minutes with, "your table is now ready." So much for the ole "run up a tab in the bar" routine.
I ordered the special for the evening, prime rib (rare), and requested no scallions on my baked potato. After waiting quite a while for our entrees, they arrived with my piece of meat looking more like a medium well piece of NY strip and my potato loaded with scallions. I sent the potato back and was told after another extended wait that they were "out of baked potatoes", with no explanation of why they didn't just scrape the unwanted topping off my potato...?? I should have sent the NY strip posing as prime rib back, but we had already waited far too long for our entrees to arrive in the first place. This is our last trip to Peak City.

My wife and I visit the Peak City Grille, at least once a week. We have never had a bad experience. The food, service and atmosphere are impeccable. The wine selection is wide and deep covering the major wine areas of the world. The prices are reasonable from $20 up. Their beer selection is even more impressive, including some of the best Belgium beers in the world. Having a great bar would be wasted without great food. Peak City shines there too. The Fried Chicken Livers or Fried Oysters appetizers are to die for. 80% of the menu changes every month, so there is always something new to try. The staff is very friendly and professional. This is our favorite restaurant.

My husband and I took the kids here on Friday night. The food was horrible, waiter was inexperienced, poorly managed and unclean. I ordered a cosmo that was bsically cold, watered cranberry juice. We ordered steaks, salads, appetizers and sides. The waiter seemed annoyed to be serving kids. Kids that ordered adult $30 steaks mind you! The waiter asked if we wanted the appetizers first. Whenthey came together with the salads he said, oh well. The steaks were inedible. big hunks of fat with no meat. These are being sold as prime steaks. I have had plenty of prime steaks, and this definately wasn't. It was like a steak from the sizzler. When we complained the hostess told us thanks for the input. When we spoke with the manager he said come back again and it will be better. I just wasted $275 on a lousy dinner, I wouldn't spend another penny inthis place. While we were eating, the waitresses were standing by our table playing with their hair. How unclean is that! To top it all off, we all got sick from the meal. This was a total waste of money. Last weekend we took one of our sons to Sullivans. We had a fantastic meal. Since the other son missed the dinner, we took him to Peak City since it was closer. For the same money there is no comparison. Go to Sullivans, it is a great dining experience. Peak City should be closed. Don't waste your money here.

The owner's cares about getting every dollar per square inch for their restaurant. My party of six was seated in the small room at the top of the stairs. The problem is they squeezed our table in the middle of the 10 tables in the room. This means a room the size of a large dining room seated over 30 people. Conversation quickly became difficult as other parties were seated in this room.

This room is loud and cramped for the patrons seated, when the wait staff shuffles in and out sevaral people in our group were elboed and banged by serving trays being carried overhead. The patrons seated by the service entrance to this room sufferred the most.

We sat down for what we expected to be an upscale dinner, in an upscale atmosphere, as was reflected by the upscale prices in the menu. While the food was good, The a la carte upscale priced menu does not reflect the ambience or professionalism of the management that decided to squeeze so many tables in a small space, or the less than graceful wait staff carrying on their craft in this three ring circus.

Management was unsympathetic to the fact that the room is overoccupied.

With a good kitchen and the great architecture of the location, I am amazed that the faults found with this place could be easily corrected.

While the food is good, Apex deserved better.

We have eaten here several times and have always had exceptional service and fabulous food and wine. We have recently relocated from the New York area which is known for their versatile dining experiences and quality food. Peak City Grille would stand up with the best. We have sampled almost every item on the menu and found them all to be wonderful.. It's great to get such a good meal for the money without having to drive downtown. We give them a 10!
