Fatima's Hair Braiding is NOT THE BEST
by Jennifer C.
Don't go to Fatima's. The shop setting is uncomfortable, and she will jerk your head this way and that. I won't go back. However, the price is competitive.

Fatima is the worst!
by Shae P.
I went to Fatima for micros, she did not have the hair to match my hair, so I went to purchase my own! She tried to talk me out of it, but I decided to go anyway. Get this>>>>>>>>it is my first time, so I have no idea how fatima looks. While making the appointment, she told me should would be at her son's graduation, but would arrive on time.(SHE DID NOT)(HOW DID I KNOW: The women that started my hair, start yelling at me telling me she couldnt do the style I wanted, then she got on the telephone----talking over me! Fifteen mins. later another lady walks in and starts braiding my hair, and I got charged a extra 20 b/c I went for cornrows instead of micros, b/c it was too much aggravation!( i assume). The most STUNNING then was: the women who started my hair wasn't fatima!!!!! So i was paying for a professional, and she had a sister doing my hair!!! OK, NOW WHO HAS THE LICENSE, AND DID YOU REALLY GO TO DUDLEY'S?

Summer
by IZZY K J.
During the summer I adore the cultural pleasure of Hair Braiding, When I first enter Fatima, yes it's disorganized, but so were mom and pop hair home salon back in the day, We have evolve from Harlem's mom and pop shop to up-pity Cali style Hair Salon appearances scalp massages, cappuccino, TV and other pleasure. As Far a the Hair style I had no problem with the appearance nor the neatness of the hair. As far as the tightness Braids, were for the girl that was being punished for some odd reason, thus all I'm saying is braid have always been painful, and that nothing new to us. The children out of common curtsy if I have anything to eat I'm not going to walk in a shop with food knowing I don't have enough for everyone and not share, If I can't afford to share, I shouldn't walk into a shop with food . Common sense 101. The shop over view and first impression is yes a 3 out of a 10. The hair performance neat long lasting and very compliant able on the scale of 1-10, I give the performance a prefect 8. Costumer Service is to be expected as far appearence.

I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO FATIMA
by Chevion T.
I went to Fatima to get my hair done, prior to coming I went to the store and purchased two bags of hair. I told Fatima when I got there that I needed to use the hair that I bought because my scalp is sensitive to the different chemicals used in the hair and I knew that this particular hair does not bother me, because it is a very good brand ( and expensive). When I got to the shop Fatima tried very hard to talk me out of using the hair I bought. She said she thought the color would be too overbearing...I explained to her that I can not wear just any kind of hair...she insisted that her hair was a very high quality and would not bother me. Against my better judgement I allowed her to put the hair in my head. I paid her 160.00 and left. Within 2 days my head was on fire...I called her to talk to her about the hair and she totally blew me off stating she was out of town. I lexplained the problem and left her my number and asked her to call me as soon as she returned I went to a differenty salon to have it removed because I was in so much pain. Fatima never bothered to call me back. I thought her actions were very unprofessional and I will NEVER go to her again.

Tara on Fatima
by Joy H.
I have been going to Fatima for at least two years and have never had a complaint. Even though her children are normally in the shop while she is working, they are well behaved and very polite. I do not ever plan on changing salons. She does a head of invisible braids in less than 4.5 hours, and she is very friendly. I have yet to complain about anything over the past two years. She is a single mother, trying like everybody else to simply make ends meet, and I am thoroughly disturbed in regard to the previous ratings. I feel as though everything said is quite an embelishment , and I also feel as though all of the derrogatory comments are from the same woman. I completely support my hardresser, and I will never go to a place for over two years if I felt uncomfortable or mistreated in any way. I also feel that if the accusations were in fact true, then a steady customer like myself would have witnessed the unprofessionalism first hand.

Fatima's Attitude and Shop is Nasty
by Anonymous
I must have caught this women on a bad day because she had a nasty unwelcoming attitude when I first entered the shop because she had several no shows before me. Honestly, Fatima did do a great job of braiding my hair but did a poor job of washing my hair. She charged me $10 extra to wash my hair but did not seem to want to wash my hair. My head was still itching when she finished the shampoo and rinse. I think she prefers that customers wash their hair before coming. Also, her shop is really filthy and you will not want to sit anything down. This is the first time and the last time I will go to Fatima, mainly because of her attitude. The filth I could try to overlook but I do not want someone angry working on my head.

WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!
by Anonymous
I just left Fatimas African Hair Braiding in Cary on Western Blvd. and I must say as a person who has had there hair braided many times, I have never been so dissatfied! The shop is Filthy with a capital F, I was scared to put my bag down! Fatima has 2 children that continuously begged for our food, hit, spit on my niece and took her belongings. FAtima did not dissapline her child and when she finally tried to he would not listen. We were told that we could bring our own hair and we did but when you get there she claimed that its not good enough quality and that we should use the hair that she provides so that she can raise the price $20 higher. I got kinky twists and the lady that braided my hair was unfriendly, rude and being unneccessarily rough on my hair. She is a sloppy braider, she left Bunches of strands of hair out of the braid and after i told her about it she then started trying to use gel half way down the braid t to make it look neat ( what she should've been doing from the beginning). She then wanted to cut all the excess hair after she was done braiding, well all the excess hair that she did not catch was about 1inch of my hair that i worked hard at growing. So i left the shop with strands everywhere and $160 wasted. I would not recommed ANYONE GO TO THIS SHOP. As a matter of fact I plan to call a health inspector, the city, whom ever because the shop is nasty and her two children are made to play in this filth.

This place is HORRIBLE
by Anonymous
She is African and she talks about African Americans horribly. She messed up my hair and then took 4 hours to tell me that she did not know how to do the style.
Her kids were into everything even jumping on her while she was trying to do my hair
I will NEVER go back.

This is a little out of the way but they have such a variety of braiding and beauty supplies. It was like being a kid in the candy store. The staff are pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was surprised to see so much in one place.
