I read a review on Ameriwaste website. It was right on. They left behind trash that usually blew all over the neighborhood, pick up was irratic at best, and the dogs had a hay day on trash days. We live in Brazoria County outside of city limits and stray dogs are always around. We were expected to have the trash by the side of the road early AM and we were lucky if it was picked up before nightfall. Some days it was not picked up at all and they may or may not show up the next day. Of course, by that time the trash was all over the yard or if we were lucky enough to be at home at the right time we may have picked it up and put it back in cans by the time they arrived.

We dumped them quick (pun intended) and went with a more reliable company as soon as the service got rediculous.

Must be something to the most recent complaints with AmeriWaste. Something has gone array with its collection as well as the level of service. I have repeatedly tried to contact this place of business not only in the past but just yesterday as well. Hard to think they are in business. That's right, Ameriwaste has a "contract" with the City. Ameriwaste doesn't need to answer phones. They seem to rely on the problem taking care of itself for the next scheduled pick up. Taking that up with the City, after hearing a long exasperated exhale as if this is yet another garbage complaint, the City suggests to contact AmeriWaste...."Here's the number". Go figure. The most annoying issue is that EVERY TIME i'm spending time picking up what they left behind. I have seen their trash tactics and it clearly shows why there is so much trash left behind on our streets. They are pretty good at the schedule pick up days however erratic at that. It's pretty Nuts. having over 40 years of experience with trash, there are very few communities that skip trash days for the next scheduled pick up. Most communities to the "day after" program. It's crazy to think that a household will have trash in their home for a much as 12 days after the last pick up.
On Thursday November 6th they decided to have pick up at 630am well before most even put their trash out. It's been about six months since they have pulled that trick. In between this time I almost caught them doing it again. I ran across the street with can in hand and as well a second time when they said they would be back and of course never came. Over the weekend I had one branch that I took time to cut, tie up and leave next to the can. It couldn't have been more than 20 lbs. You've guessed it. They left it at the curb. My wife came home that evening and the can was blocking the drive. She got out and moved it to the side. I These folks over at AmeriWaste are a joke and I might add the city having using our dollars to pay these people.
