Most people who live in Port Arthur have never been to the Museum of the Gulf Coast. It is an absolute joy to go through. First of all, it is inexpensive to enter ($3.50/adults, $3.00/senior, $1.50/kids between 6-18, and $.50/kids between 0-6). Both kids and adults can have fun in the museum. There are some interactive stations for the kids and there is some nostalgia for the adults who have grown up in the area. Even people who have never been to the area will get a kick out of seeing some exhibits with historical moments. In addition, there are special events and exhibits throughout the year. The staff is also friendly and helpful. If you have any questions, they can usually answer them. Overall, if you're looking for something new to do in town, this is a fun, educational and inexpensive way to go.

I did not like the Museum of The Gulf Coast because the parking space is too small. When there is a lot people visit, it is really hard to find a parking space. Also, the museum itself is quite small and only have small amount of displays. If you want some educational history about the Gulf Coast, then this museum is not a good source to go. In conclusion, I do not recommend for this museum at all.

PROS: Clean
CONS: Parking space, limtied displays
