In the process of searching for a montessori school for my two year old, I was unfortunate enough to speak to a representative of the Montessori School named Lacey. She was arrogant, rude and down right ugly. As a parent, schools are important to me as this will shape and mold my child. Also, when placing your child in the care of someone else, you want to feel comfortable with your choice and try to make the right decision. \n\nAs a facility whose specialty is dealing with children, it is important for the employees there to be patient, kind and very caring. Well, this is not the personality I encountered with Lacey. During my conversation with Lacey, I asked questions (regarding curriculum, prices, etc.) nothing out of the ordinary. Lacey responded to my questions as if I was suppose to know what goes on at the facility. She made me feel as though me speaking to her was a major inconvenience. Lacey was very rude and condescending with her answers. She acted as though she had a Doctorate Degree of Montessori and did not have time to elaborate on their program or anything else for that matter. I am not a confrontational person nor am I dumb as currently I am working on my Master's Degree and hold a professional job. But this is not important. What is important is that her job is to make me feel comfortable with placing my child in their care. Lacey made me feel the opposite. If a montessori employee, one who comes in contact with your child is rude and short tempered with you, what will they do to your child when you are not around. Also, after my conversation with Lacey, a friend told me to check Texas DFPS childcare licensing online and they have 19 deficiencies, including leaving a child alone without supervision...quite disturbing. \n\nIf the best representative of the school is Lacey and she is rude, what does this say for the rest of the staff. Will not be sending my child there....EVER.

Message from Five Star Montessori

Five Star Montessori is a well established school that has been providing quality education and care since 1995. Five Star offers part time and short day classes (although most of our students are full time). Our classes provide Montessori based educational programs, a comfortable and prepared environment, and a variety of activities throughout the day. We like happy children and you can feel confident that we take good care of your children when you are not there.
