We used to eat here quite often. Loved the gator appetizer and fish dishes. We noticed the food was getting greasier and more unappetizing after we took family from out of town there for a graduation meal in 2009. We finally stopped going there after a series of poor experiences with the food. Plus, the Tech Center is hardly conducive to dining ambience.

I have heard a lot of hype about this place and I was disappointed with the ambiance, service and table. When we were seated, we were next to the bathroom door. It was in the back and people kept running into the door and not pulling the handle. It was very distracting. They need to get rid of that door. \n\nOur server seemed distracted and forgot several things: cocktail sauce, bread, and one person's drink. The food was okay, but not what I had hoped for. Some portions were small and there were a lot of fried parts, not meaty fried crawfish.

Far away, we usually dined at the Westminster location, but worth it. Love the gumbo.

My lovely bride, of 44 years, and I have visited the Pappadeaux's in Westminster since its grand opening. The mussels, crab legs, and other seafoods are top notch. The service was excellent, the desserts were rich and the food was fresh, hot and tasty. It is sad that our Pappadeaux's is now shuttered. Tonight we will dine at the new restaurant in Greenwood Village. Pappadeaux's beware! I am bring my appetite.

Lots of people write lousy reviews of restaurants because they don't have anybody else's dog to kick.\r\n\r\nPappadeaux is very successful in many markets in many states because they offer a good value meal, good service and their customers have a great time.\r\n\r\nThe calamari appetizer is the best calamari I have had anywhere. Take your mother in law: Have confidence...you won't be dissapointed. Unless you are really a dog kicker

My spouse and I attended your restuarant on Wednesday, October 12th for the ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER. My spouse ordered the lobster and I ordered the Halibut. The Halibut was way too salty. We actually had reservations for 6:00 p.m. under the name of Wheeler. We asked for a large table so that we could spread out and the hostess just looked at us like we had the nerve to make such a request when there was just the two of us. Well, my Halibut was way too salty. I informed the server and I do not remember is name. But all he told me was that the next time, if I would ever go again, after that comment, to tell the server not to put the seasoning on it! Well, there probably will be no next time! I am sure he received a nice tip since the bill came to about $120 by the time we each had a drink and then the meal. You always have to pay separately of course for a salad and a baked potato. What a rip off! It was a special occasion since it was our anniversary. My spouse spent over two hours cracking the entire lobster, which I can not eat. I went ahead and ate most of my Halibut even though the waiter would not prepare it the way I like it with lots of less salt. I would like to request a refund for the Halibut and the large baked potatoe and salad that I had, but I do not know how! My email address is : wheelergary@qwith a dotcom and my mailing address is: Bev Wheeler, 2551 East 126th Way, Thornton, CO 80241-2761. Do you have any recommendations? I sure would have at least like the server to refund us for the Halibut! What kind of service is that? We will never return to the Pappadeaux place again until I get a refund!

Too loud in the dining room. Young inexperienced wait staff running around that really don?t give a damn. The food is what you?d expect in a mega chain. Salty, greasy and average at best. It?s a perfect example of what I hate about large scale restaurants that have a presence in nearly every state. It is the Ford factory of the restaurant world. I can think of no reason for you to waste precious time dinning here.

My husband and I chose Pappadeaux as part of our 2nd anniversary celebration. We both love seafood and he'd never been there. We got there a little after five, were greeted by a friendly hostess and we were seated right away. The waiter came over immediately; he was really friendly and helpful. The appetizer arrived pretty quickly for what we ordered. And our dinner arrived fairly quickly as well. Our drinks were refilled several times, and we didn't have to wait for or ask for the check. My husband says this is our new anniversary tradition. Pulling out of the parking lot, there was a line of cars down the street waiting to get in.

Pros: good food, friendly staff, fast service

Cons: traffic on 470 between here & there

I was hooked the first time I ate there. I will admit the hostess was pretty rude but our server was fantastic and so was the food. I did complain about the hostess and it was taken care of immediately (thank goodness other employees who witnessed stepped up for us). I don't understand others reviews about the food. It's delicious and offers a different style then other seafood houses around. We got several friends addicted to this place. We will go back as we have dozens of times. Worth it!!

We arrived for the dinner with 7 people and a toddler, The hostess stand had a waitress there and when we told her we needed a booster seat, THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS, she snipped back that we had to wait until someone could help us, she apparently was way too busy (at 5:00pm), then she stormed off leaving our party just sitting there.\r\n\r\nThe food took forever, it stunk, and the atomosphere felt like I was at RED LOBSTER

i worked 4 Pappadeaux in Ft Worth and in the DTC and i loved them both. the food is delicious and as a server it's beyond our control sometimes when food takes a long time, and that's mainly bc the kitchen is BUSY. but we try our best to inform our managers and accommodate you one way or another since the wait can be long. The food is fresh and the staff is amazing and i still eat there any chance i get.

love to go here for the fresh seafood, happy hour drinks and sunday brunch. \n\nhave been to both locations and when we go, we know it will not be a quick thing. The food is good enough that we'll wait (just bring us our strong drinks).

Pappadeaux has good, fresh and tasty seafood options that remind me of New Orleans. It's not as good as New Orleans but it'll hold me until I can hop on a plane and grab a hot and fresh beignet. \r\n\r\nNot a lot to add in my review but a good tip is to not order off the regular menu when they are doing the Sunday buffet brunch maddness. It takes FOREVER and a day to get your meal out to you. Don't fight it, just do the buffet if you are there on Sunday.

Just thinking about Pappadeaux is making my mouth water! I generally go there on the weekend for lunch as it is less crowded then. The service has always been fantastic and friendly. I typically order the same thing every time: The absolute best greek salad made tableside with a nice big shrimp or two in it - the quality of the shrimp is impeccable. Then we move on to the crabcakes - they are so flavorful and come dressed in a delicious buttery sauce with diced mango & tomatoes and crispy sweet potato strings on top. This is fresh crabmeat, people - not canned. Finally, we have to have a slice of sweet potato pecan pie a la mode. Don't skip this dessert, I'm telling you. I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes or pecan pie, but this is a marriage made in heaven. No matter how stuffed I am, I have to have some - even if it's to go!

I have also had their fresh catch of the day with the alexander sauce (fresh lump crabmeat in a creamy sauce) is to die for. In the summer, be sure to check out their patio which has some nice live music.

My family and I were excited to take my daughter to Pappadeaux for her birthday, and I have to say this was the worst service I have ever experienced.. The waitress took forever to bring our appetizers and our main meals. Others who were sitted after us, received their appetizers and main meals before we did. It took so long to get our food, we didn't even have to complain to the manager. The manager came to us apologizing for the slow service and offered us two complimentary desserts. We were very disappointed with some of our meals as well. My mom's scallops were not warm. My daughter's Filet Mignon was cooked well done when she asked for medium. My dad's chicken breast might as well have been jerky since he was having a hard time cutting through it with a butter knife. Although the place was very busy, I have been to other restaurants that were just as busy and have experienced way better service. With the prices of the meals at Pappadeaux, one would expect better service. We were VERY disappointed and will more than likely not be going back anytime soon..

I took my family to Papadeaux for a Sunday night dinner. We had to yell across the table to each other because of the noise. There were trays of leftover meals and dirty dishes in several places across the restaurant. The food was costly for the dining experience. We eat out at various restaurants at least once each week and this is the worst experience I have ever had!!

This was our first experience at this restaurant. We ate at Pappadeaux's for the Father's Day brunch. We had reservations (highly recommended) and only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. The only negative was when the hostess attempted to give our table away to another couple while we were in the buffet line but that was quickly resolved by my daughter, who had been keeping a watchful eye, as well as our waiter who said he was ""looking out for us."" The buffet line passed rather quickly considering there were several inpatient people who felt they were an exception to having to wait in line and were breaking into the line at various spots, very annoying! One idiot woman was juggling three plates of food! The food was delicious, very flavorful. Granted, we have only had one other experience with Cajun Food, but the salmon, catfish and alligator (not part of the buffet), were especially tasty. The service from our waiter was outstanding. He did a magnificant job keeping our glasses full, considering how extremely packed with customers the restaurant was. He was most hospitable and gave us background information on the restaurant, the food and the chefs. All of his customers were very well tended to. He did suggest to us that we return for dinner when things were not so crazy because he felt we would truely enjoy the experience much more and he said the dinners are nothing shy of spectacular. Realizing some people are just never happy no matter what, I would hope the previous customers who have left negative feedback won't discourage others from eating at this restaurant, it is by far one of the better restaurants in the entire metro area for service and tasty food. The price for the buffet, $22.95 per person, was very reasonable when compared to other restaurants of the same calibur who charge upwards of $30 to $50 per person for their buffets. We were very pleased overall and will definitely return!

Pros: EXCELLENT service, very friendly staff, great parking, great ambience

Cons: hot food was served first, by the time you get through the buffet line the hot suff was no longer hot!

.

Great crab finger appetizer, if your someone who loves seafood and a nice atmosphere, you'll fall head over heels for Pappadeaux! Its a little pricey, but absolutely worth it. I often take buisniess clients to this restaurant for lunch, and find the staff always very polite and accomodating.

This was a favorite years ago and this summer's visit was no different. The food was fantastic and all 4 members of the party left full with food still on the plates! Top notch service and setting. Musicians playing in the bar area, great for a different and fun night

I dined at pappadeax's on june 17th with my family for fathers day. It was a huge disapointment--the food was tastlest and exstremly bland, not to mention the worst etoufee I have ever had. In addition to the poor service, there were tray stands left through out the restaurant pilled with dirty dishes for long periods of time. wich is very unsanatary and gross, not to mention not being allowd to sit on the patio because we were having dinner, and not just appetizers. Over all I will never return or recomend this restaraunt to anyone. FIVE THUMBS DOWN ! ! ! !

We had lunch here recently, after many years of enjoying what they had to offer. The customer service was not at all up to par, the food was not as good as it used to be. My husbands phone was left on the table, and when we got to the car realized it was inside. He went in, only to be told that the phone was not there. After attempting to speak with a manager, he was brushed off and told tough luck. Honesty is important to have in all staff, especially servers who work very hard for their money.

Saturday night 7:30PM, with reservations. FIRST VISIT. 1st the good, seated within minutes of reservation, service outstanding and the specialty drinks we ordered wonderful.\r\n\r\nHowever, the bad: We were quite shocked to discover that the New England clam chowder seemed to have been made from pure salt. My wife always salts her food way too much, no salt added here by my wife and this chowder was so salty that you could chew on the salt. We had to send the chowder back 1st time for us anywhere. We are still enjoying our drinks after appetizers of frogs legs and alligator, and bread all which were just OK, not what you would expect for the price. So you would expect that we would be much more tolerant of the food having enjoyed the extra alchol in the specality drinks. Regretfully, NO!! The main course came and the tuna special was very dry and extremely salty, the soft shell crab tasted like nothing I have ever eaten!\r\n\r\nRegretfully even though we had already sent back the chowder ealier and it was obvious that we didn't care for the dinner we still had to ask to see a manager when the bill arrived. After waiting for a manager to arrive, turned out to be a young man around 22 years old (on a busy Saturday night?) arrived to discuss our meal with us. I asked that he remove the 2 dinners that the 3 of us had ordered from the bill. Even though he listened to our review and was quite polite, I still felt like I had to ask him to at least try the chowder, as it seems to me that he was just tolerating us at a minimum. He advised us he would see what he could do for us (thought he introduced himself as the manager?) My wife and sister-in-law became so irritatated with the delay in the return of our bill, that they both left the restaraunt after 7 minutes and I waited at the table at least 12 to 15 minutes to have the bill returned to me!! \r\n\r\nWhat is most distressing is that the Manager didn't seem to care whether we liked the food or not and did not ask us back!

Large Group - don't, with reservations, they could not find enough seats and were seated over a half an hour late and still 2 seats short. 2 of our group lunch shared a table with 2 kind gentlemen whose table was given to another party while they were in line for the buffet. The food was fine in the brunch buffet but don't leave the table unattended because you may lose it. They didn't do well with the orders either, the 2 guys whos table was lost was but on our parties check and had to wait over 20 minutes for that correction. For the price, being seated so late, there was not much on the buffet so you got to wait in long lines there too. If I ever go again, follow these rules no party over 4, go early and leave somone at the table at all times.

Pros: Buffet

Cons: Organization, Service, Price

first glance looked to be upbeat and fun, but all went down hill when we started to oreder. I was exited to try out the oysters on the half shell but was told that there\nwere no more oysters at all for any of the dishes!!!(we arived there at 6.00pm!!)\n We had to scan the menu one more time and decided on calamari, when it arrived\nwe discovered that only the top layer was calamari!! The rest of the bowl was filled\nwith old fried artichoke that someone forgot to clean out of the fryer! About 25 minutes\nafter placing our order a man came to our table to inform us that out ticket had been\nlost and that they just started cooking it. I was shocked that some kind of discount or other services were not offered. I actualy feel guilty for spending our hard earned money there!

Pros: large dining area

Cons: bad food, bad service, unprofessional

Unbelievable loud - and getting louder as we joined the din after a couple of drinks. Good service, okay food -- I'm not a big fan of the sauce covered seafood, but probably just par for the New Orleans style seafood. We had a great table in a greenhouse seeming area. Lots of huge tables. We had no wait with our reservation and found the place in the nick of time - get directions before you go if you're not familar with GW Village.

There are other better places to go.\n\nThe food is average to above average. I did think highly of their oysters on the half-shell, but the experience was underwhelmed by the huge crowd.

OK overall but apparently overrated--if considered among the best.\nWaitress was more interested in reciting the specials at nearly incomprehensible speed-and turning over the table-than to point out the unavailability of standard menu items.\nAverage, at best-but made better by a fine blues group in the bar/patio area.\nI'm sure Denver can do better.

This is a great restaurant. The food is excellent, and for anyone who thinks that the prices are too high, you obviously haven't seen the portions that are served. The average person could make at least two meals out of nearly every entree. I recommend this to all of my friends and relatives, and often bring them along with me.

Atmosphere is great. Food is inconsistent. The boiled shrimp was great on one visit and mushy the next.\nService is lacking. On my last visit, four of us went there for a Satruday night dinner. My meal didn't arrive until everyone else was finished with theirs. \n\nThe only thing my Papadeaux waiter offered to make amends was his apologies and a doggie bag (they wrapped the entire meal to go before I even took a bite). They wouldn't keep the entree and take it off the bill. I ended up throwing the meal away the next day when I learned leftover seafood doesn't microwave very well.\n

We happened upon Pappadeux 3 years ago while staying in the hotel next door. We LOVED everything - so tasty! We recently took another trip to Denver last week and purposely booked again at the SAME hotel so we could once again enjoy Pappadeaux! As usual, we were completely satisfied -we'll be back!!!

My boyfriend raved about this place, so I was very excited to go. I had the grilled seafood plate, and tried everyone elses fried shrimp, crab, catfish, chicken and alligator. I suppose that anything breaded and fried tastes good, but I think it is a crime to cover seafood with batter. It was fine. The oreo mousse was great, but how could they mess that up? It is good for picky eaters, and people who like their seafood over-cooked, and covered up.

We went here last weekend (saturday night) and our server was a gentleman named Chris Bower. At first I thought he was flirting with my wife, but very quickly it became evident that this kid is excellent at what he does. He's a charmer, an excellent waiter, and one of the most entertaining people I've ever met. Seriously, after a less-than-thrilling meal, I've already made plans to come back next Saturday, just because of this guy. I wish everyone here was as wonderful!

We have ate at Pappadeaux's on a few occasions since Denver is mainly comprised of chain restaurants. We like their fresh selections of the menu and stay entirely away from the large fried section of the menu. Fried seafood..you don't do this, but this is the cajun influence (fried taste vs seafood). We also enjoy their beverage selection which also offers wine flights and Frogs Leap wine only available in top tier restaurants continues to be one of our favorites. We enjoy the energy of the atmosphere and would note the desserts as something to enjoy but you can easily share

You guys forgot to mention some other great dishes\nthat are much better than just crawfish and catfish. The Ponchatrain is to die for!! You can't go\nto Pappadeaux without trying the BBQ Shrimp or the Shrimp & Oyster Fondou. I've been to many\nPappadeaux through out the country and I've never been disappointed. I just wish we had the \nPappasitos Mexican Res., there would be twice as many people there if Denver had one!!
