Nice clean facility and friendly staff. Comparable to the other locations that I have always enjoyed going to.

I tried Curves purely out of convenience of location. However, I had to stop going there and get a membership at a REAL gym. Curves first of all was over priced by about 300% the monthly dues of all other gym memberships, and they didn't even have the same operational hours as other gyms. Also, their workouts were fake; they would probably be great for our senior population who does not need intensive workouts but really only need the placebo effect of feeling like they worked out. Their generic "workout" was a tease. I would get all psyched about working out, and then find out i was done without even sweating or increasing my heartbeat, and the machines allegedly claimed that i burned 400-500 calories. Who is supposed to believe that you can burn so many calories, just standing around and doing a couple of easy reps on a couple of machines and jumping up and down for 30 seconds and all under 20 minutes? If that was real, then there would be no execuse for anyone to be overweight. It was truly a joke and a waste of money and time. I stayed a couple of months to try and give it a chance, but I just couldn't do it anymore. I needed to go somewhere where I could have a real workout and really burn some calories, not some make believe droplets of alleged sweat. Also, they are very sneaky with their memberships. Due to low clientele, they use any tactic to get more money from you. If you sign up for a year long contract, which specifically says this is for ONE YEAR, you actually still have to call them up after your year is up and tell them, i don't want to go there anymore, cancel my membership. If you don't, they still keep charging you. So, if you happen to forget when your year is up and don't call them, they will keep charging you forever...sneaky!!! They don't even send you a reminder in the mail or e-mail at all to remind you that your membership is almost up and see if you want to renew or cancel your membership. I would never do business with them again!
