My company hosted a weekday brunch meetup with customers at the Poor House Bistro and had a really good experience. The woman who manages the business was as kind and accommodating as could be and the service was great. I had the popcorn shrimp salad and polished off 1 or 2 beignets for dessert which was heaven.

The restaurant is actually in a house. Very casual and warm. Blues and Jazz are playing in the background.

Right down the street from the Shark Tank for perfect for a pre-game meal.

it's a pretty good place. the prices were a little high but we went on a sunny day and sat outside and my salad portion was pretty big.

I come for lunch and it always looks busy, but yet there's never a line. The food is fantastic. I love sitting outside in the patio area when the weather is nice. I love going back and will continue to.

I was invited here for dinner, drinks and great blues music with friends. The atmosphere is really relaxed and the music was off the chart awesome. The patio (where the music is) is dog friendly and my pooch got lots of head pats. Great New Orlean's style food - the gumbo was my favorite. I recommend going here for to listen to the live music, but cation if there is a Sharks game. I heard it is overun with people eating before the game. But after the game starts, it is great for music again. Oh, and no cover charge!

I stopped here before the sharks game for a quick meal and boy was I impressed. They had a live band playing some great Jazz music and the food was great. When I have more time I will be sure to return.

I have been there a few times over the years and found the food to be just too salty and bland. I expected a little more of the same zip in the food as I got in NO. The sandwich came on a flavorless, mushy roll. I was surprised that they said they shipped the bread in special.
If they held back on the salt and added a little more spice, I think they would be on to something!
I go more for the drinks and the music at this point.

Pros: Fun place to meet friends,

Cons: Food needs improvement

Haven't had much experience with New Orleans cuisine but from the several times I've been here, it's been very good. The BBQ chicken sandwich is less saucy and more spicy, but don't worry because it's so big you can't eat the whole thing anyway. The combination dishes are great with items like jambalaya and beans and rice. Service is always quick, even on weekends where there's probably overflow from an event down the street at the Pavilion or when there's blues band playing. It does get crowded but the outdoor patio is a nice break since it's not on a usually busy street. Quaint former house turned resturant. Great handout, good food, excellent atmosphere.

Pros: Quick service, cool hangout

Cons: Busy, limited seating, loud if seated near band
