Curl Up & Dye Innovative Salon

I had my hair done at this salon a few months ago and the woman who did my hair was distracted by her cell phone numerous times, she lightened my hair to a very odd color (somewhere between brass and brown) and the streaking she put in it was lumpy, unevenly placed (I had highlights more on one side in the back, and none on the other side) and her haircuts suck. She razored my hair in some spots and not in the others to coincide with any sort of symmetry. Also, my bangs are completely lopsided, and I have long pieces that hang down into them. After $145.00, I felt robbed and depressed. Also, you can never get through on their main phone line. As I tried calling the next day to speak with the gal who did my hair to see if she might be willing to do a color "correction/cut" but once again couldn't get through. Looking back on it, I am glad I didn't get through so she couldn't finish the awful job off. The owner is also quite rude. I was sitting in the back on the couch they have while my stylist was finishing up with her customer (she was running late) and the owner comes back there and scoffs at my mother and me! She said in a very rude tone "Do you have an appointment here or something"? Can you believe that? Every time she passed by me, she would glare at me. I have no idea if it was because I wasn't dressed in the proper uppity attire, didn't have Gucci sunglasses or what, but I am never setting so much as a toe in that horrid place again! Hope this helps anyone out there. The lady who did my hair was a little short blond. I would feel bad giving her name, because I am sure she'd be out of a job, but hope that bit of a description helps. Good luck looking ladies, but steer clear of what I now call Curl Up and Cry.

This salon is somewhat expensive, but not any more so than in a larger city. The owner Debra can give great haircuts and color, although is often distracted during appointments with business other than your service.

I moved from Seattle to Bend and tried this hair salon first. They were okay, not anything special. Didn't cut my hair as requested or style as requested.

Jen is a good stylist, but that is about it. Didn't really like the atmosphere there. The salon was kind of loud and not very friendly. The location is also out of the way.

A very clean, comfortable atmosphere. Wonderful services at very reasonable prices. I have never been happier at any other salon. I get my Hair styles ( Jen Lupton), get both a pedicure and a manicure (Alicia Yetter). Legs and eyebrows waxed ( Kylee Hill) all in one stop. If your feeling stressed out Kylee gives a wonderful relaxing facial. I highly recommend the salon and you will never try anywhere else.
