Salad: good when it's served freshly tossed and I like the sunflower seeds and raisins.

Bread: the bread here is SO GOOD. Fresh, hot and served on a cute little wooden cutting board!

Spaghetti: the saving grace is that it is served al dente. Otherwise, I found it to be pretty mediocre. Their alfredo and pesto sauces are so tasteless, I would never order either one of them again.

Their lunch special is a pretty good deal, all-you-can-eat pasta, salad and bread for $6.99. If the weather is nice, they even have an outdoor patio for al fresco dining.

Salad: good when it's served freshly tossed (note to servers - the lettuce is no longer yummy when it's been drenched in dressing for too long). I like the sunflower seeds and raisins, they add a nice twist to an otherwise mediocre salad. Go away, thickly sliced raw red onions.

Bread: the bread here is SO GOOD. Fresh, hot and served on a cute little wooden cutting board!

Spaghetti: the saving grace is that it is served al dente. Otherwise, as a spaghetti alla bolognese snob, it's okay...but if I was serving you dinner in my house, this dish wouldn't make it out of the kitchen!

As far as their sauces, I've also tried both the alfredo and pesto once...and they were so awful, I would never order either one of them again.

Pros: Bread, Salad w/raisins and sunflower seeds

Cons: Alfredo and Pesto Sauces (yuk!)

I have to agree with the person who reviewed String's before me about their wine and bread, its what I love best about eating there. They have a great selection of wines and their selection on pasta dishes makes it hard to order just one.

When i was pregnant i made Strings a necessity. The bread was always warn and fluffy and the service was always prompt. Sometimes a little to prompt! My husband is exceptionally fond of the ala panna sauce with thin noodles and i enjoyed the seafood alfredo with linguine. Even though the alfredo sauce is a little lifeless by itself the bread and wine always tasted great
