Take a walk back into the 1950's as you enter San Jose's Lori's Diners. A Bay Area tradition, Lori's serves classic American food. Omelets, pancakes, tuna melts, burgers and classic dinners like meatloaf, grilled chicken....and don't forget about the Lori's milkshake. Check out all the 1950's memorabilia....Elvis would be proud. Great for people of all ages.

Reviews for Lori's Diner

Ratings_icons Average Experience

This place is definitely an average burger place. The location is notoriously known for changing restaurants almost every year (haha). But the food itself at the restaurant was no "Johnny Rockets" or "In 'n Out". I expected to see something that set them apart, but didn't.

All the restaurants in this location end up closing down after a year or two. The burgers are nothing special and the fries were stale. I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant closed down too.

Ratings_icons good burgers

The burgers are good and the decor is interesting. Some of it is a little too interesting for young children who want to play on some of it. But overall it is a good place to bring the family.

PROS: good family place
CONS: not a lot of space for a stroller next to your table

Ratings_icons basic diner food

I was hoping for a diner setting like the creamery in palo alto, but this diner is in an old Rib Crib builting that was a pizza place before that. There is too much decor left over from the old restaurants (lots of wood, not enough chrome) to really give that good diner feeling. The food was okay, but I don't really expect much from diner food. It's hard to mess up burgers and fries.
