Boricua Cafe is a diamond in the rough. My family in Dallas drive to this small dining establishment just to dine on great authentic food. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. I wish they would expand into a larger space or possibly seperate themselves from the tax office. There is a ton of potential in this place. I wonder who the chef is, because he's awesome!

Pros: Puerto Rican Cuisine!

Cons: HIdden inside a tax office

The food is simply an insult to Puertorican cuisine. The mofongo is just salty plaintain put together with...imitation bacon bits. The texture and flavor were not what you would expect, they forgot to add chicken broth to the mix. The cuajito, although well cooked, was just seasoned with salt, a lot of it. I wish this would have been a better experience since there are very few PR restaurants in this area. I will never eat @ this place.
