DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!

Traded in for an '05 Chevy Aveo. Salesman, Steve Tarver, knew this was to be a once-a-week 200-mile round-trip commuter car for work. On the 5-minute drive home, all the dash lights momentarily went out. Called "helpful" Steve, who didn't return the call, and took it back that Friday (we purchased on Mon night) for service.

The car spent 3 out of 4 weekends at their service dept because...the clock didn't work, the driver's door lock didn't work causing the "door ajar" light and interior light to flash going over a bump, and the rear windshield wiper didn't work. Our mechanic had it the 4th weekend because NO ONE at this place could tell us the condition of the timing belt that was to be replaced at 60000 miles (cost us $700).

Right before the 30-day warranty expired, while driving up a steep grade on the 14 freeway, the engine light and "hold" light started flashing...so back to the dealer we went. They couldn't replicate the problem because "there are no hills down here", so they sent us home. Guess what? Lights flashed AGAIN going up the steep grade only this time, the car surged to the point I'm scared to drive the damned thing. Obviously, the problem is getting worse.

So the following weekend, back into Service we go. They ended up charging us $174 for 4 plugs and 4 wires, even tho Aveo owners on the internet report the need for a valve job (which we've been saying along). Funny...repairs were free up till this point.

After no return phone calls from management, we found Gus. He was EXTREMELY rude and kept chastising us for not buying the extended warranty, even tho these repairs were still under their 30-day warranty! He should never be allowed to deal with the public. He even got mad at us because "we were told the car might break down" so what's our problem?? NOBODY ever said this car might break down, but I guess this dealership expects their used cars to do so.

Their used car "safety inspection" is a joke, so BEWARE buying anything used here. I'm awaiting the next week to see if the lights start flashing at me again. If they do, we'll start this complaining process all over again. To their credit, we found service guys and cashier girls and another salesman to be very sympathetic to our cause. But all in all....AVOID!!

they should learn from south coast acura's servicemen. i took my car in with like 15k, and they accused me of modifying an engine part... ok sure. they wanted 90 dollars to fix it.. to reprogram and readadjust the throttle. i doubt they do anything they say except wash my car. thats the only real reason i like this place. but most dealers wash ur car anyways. i only had decent experiences when i took it in for a warranty claim. they currently charge 39.99 for an oil change for a tacoma? acura, a luxury brand only charges $29. (mdx) the guy who drove my car out was jumping the sidewalks in the back "alley" sorta thing as he was pulling my car out.. he stopped when he saw me standing by the alley watching him.

DON'T EVER GO TO GARDEN GROVE TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!
I was there to get several services on my car, and I had to leave my car for a while. But, they never called me when it was ready to be picked up until I called. When I got there, the person who took my car in the first time was already gone for the day. They didn't have anybody else who was taking over his job. All I had was a bunch of invoice papers with nobody to explain what was going on with my car, and it looked like 2 of the services I asked for was still needed to be done after they get the right parts in. There was only a brief descriptions on the invoice, so I asked another worker, but he didn't know any better. I just had to pick up my car and come home. Then, I noticed that they did not put a new sticker for next oil change. My glove box was filthy with all the greasy finger marks all over it. I called the service dept. 2 days after because no one had called me. The service person who was in charge of my car was off for the day, and I asked for a person who I can talk to about my concern. The person who answered said "what is it?" and I started telling him that I wasn't happy about their service on my car. Not even 20 seconds after I started telling him how they didn't take care of my car right, he yelled out annoyingly "okay,,,where are we trying to get to with all this? what is it that you want with all this?" (IN HIS EXACT WORDS) WHAT A NICE WAY TO HEAR CUSTOMER OUT! I got so upset because of this impatient, disrespectful service person, I called the service dept. manager. I told him what happened, and he did apologize for what happened to my car. But, he said he couldn't do anything about the rude guy because I didn't know his name. He said there are five guys working, and he wouldn't know who that was without name. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
WHAT A PERFECT WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER.!! They obviously didn't want to take time to deal with customers who are complaining. I would never ever ever go back to garden grove service dept. where they absolutely DO NOT APPRECIATE their customers. Thanks to them for their VERY FRIENDLY service!!

I went here recently to get a tune up for my car. I was greeted by a salesperson after awhile and they finally took my car. After 2 hours, I got it back only to find out that they didn't perform the right service on it. I was very upset and the salesperson didn't even do anything to make it right. I will never go here again .

Toyota of Garden Grove is one of the best dealerships in Town! They offer great prices on cars and a service attitude! They have great jumpers to help distract the kids while you shop. They have the nicest sales people in Town! They are experience and really know what they are doing! I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a car. My family brought two cars from here and never regrets it. They treat their customers like gold. They will even come and shuttle you from home to their location if you dont have a car.

When my car door handle cracked and about to break off, I called Elmore Toyota for an estimate, it would cost me $108 to get it replace. However, when I call Toyota Of Garden Grove, their price were only $83.50 with tax. Even better, their sale person treated me like gold when I walk in.
