Can you say up-sell? The minute the tech walked in he started the up-sale. He told us how we would need a new door and that our garage door opener was probably shot. He was here to replace the torsion spring. All this diagnoses without seeing the door or even the garage. He went on about dangerous the door could get over the next couple of years and that fixing the spring now might be a waste because we will more than likely need to replace everything in a couple of years.

I was quoted a price on the phone, when we made the appointment. The tech confirmed it when he arrived. But, when he filled out the invoice there was an add service fee. So, there was the cost for the spring, labor, and a service fee. When I challenge the tech on the additional service fee he quickly removed it.

I presented them with a coupon from their website. This was for the service fee only. Seeing that he had removed the service fee there was no discount.

I called the office to complain. The manager told me that they normally charge a service fee to come to fix the door, but have waved it.

If I had not felt that they were looking for an opportunity from the start to rip me off I would have accepted that it was a mistake in communications between the manager and the tech.

If you use them, get the quote on the phone, verify it with the tech before he does anything, and double check the invoice. Or, better yet use someone else.

Terrible. They came out to fix what we thought was a broken spring but instead they told us we would need an entirely new door altogether. We couldn't afford that so we sent them away and they charged us for the service call (a ridiculously high price in and of itself). We signed for the $70 charge. They ACTUALLY charged us over $230!!!!! We had to call to fix it. ....and then I got to wondering, what if they had caused us overdraft fees at our bank?? They didn't even care about the mistake they had made. This is a terrible company. And the price they quoted for one new garage door was higher than what 2 other companies had quoted for TWO. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone....at least no one I cared about.

Good company with quick response. They remained calm in an upsetting situation and did a great job getting me access into the garage

I got bids for a new garage door. They were a little less than one and within a few dollars of another. The installers were very nice, cleaned up good after the job and it works great!

I feel embarrassed writing this, but I feel like I got stolen from. I paid $800 for new springs and new rollers and 1 hour labor. I bet the rollers springs were less than $200 total. Do not go to this place or at least have them come out and do an evaluation of what needs to be done and go somewhere else.

The garage is fixed but you pay way too much.

I called precision door to fix a broken garage door spring assembly. They came out the following day, were polite and professional and the quality of their work was okay but an hour and a half of work and $125 (probably less) of parts shouldn't have cost $490.
I feel ripped off
