.

When putting in a new lawn, it's necessary to drop at least 3 inches of good topsoil. When we hydroseeded the back, we ordered just that from Pacific Topsoil. They delivered the soil in a huge truck, of course, and then we had the huge task of spreading it out. You can order it to be blown, but that was a cost we didn't want to incur. The soil itself was pretty good, with some rocks and pieces of small wood. In all, the experience was fine, if unremarkable and the quality of the soil was satisfactpry as our new lawn sprang to life in a few weeks.

PROS: on-time delivery, adequate soil quality
CONS: blowing it is an extra expensive, some rocks in the soil.
