We had the worse experience with the classes offered. My daughter took a baby sitting class there but never got the promised completion certificate. So far we have called 5 times - we could never talk to the person in charge and had to leave messages. No one ever called us back. They finally sent a certificate but with the wrong name on it. They put the name of the parent paying the bill rather than the name of the child that took the class!I called back again for the 5th time today and its been almost two months. It's been such a frustrating experience for what should have been a simple matter.

this is a huge place in Manhattan Beach for rainy and not rainy days. It is off a secondary road so not very central but very worth it and your kids are going to love it. They have all kinds of sport activity for little ones even rock climbing. Also have a small cafeteria style food place for pizzas or anything for a small lunch.

The Manhattan Beach Adventureplex is the must-go rainy day place for kids. I'm sort of new to the modern-day indoor playground structures, and was blown away by the three-dimensional caged labyrinth they have. Sort of like a giant hamster cage for kids. Our 5 and 3 year old kids can't get enough of it, and I've been known to slip off the shoes and climb up into the structure myself to take a run down the giant slide and rope-on-pully contraption. It's a great place to let the kids run around for a while while the parents all sit below reading papers or drinking coffee.

There are also a log of other activities for older kids and adults including a nice looking outdoor climbing wall, a ropes course and a gym. The only downside is that it's a little pricey, but certainly worth it if you're going to be there an hour or more. $10 per head; $5 for kids under 3.

PROS: Indoor activity for the kids; great for kid birthday parties
CONS: A little pricey

We went to the Adventureplex for the first time to attend the birthday party of my friend's daughter. My kid's eyes were round as saucers when we entered the place. She was enthralled by the huge play structure they had. I could hardly keep her still to wait for the birthday cake to be blown off before she went off to it. They also have a wall for climbing but my child was too small for it.

When on vacation in SoCal, our friends with kids suggested meeting at the AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach. We needed to let the kids (ages 2 and 4) blow off some steam, so we agreed.

We paid our $10 to get in, and were amazed when we saw the biggest play structure ever! Think of the play structure at McDonalds, but many times bigger (and cleaner), and you have the AdventurePlex.

My kids had a blast here! The play structure was so big that I was even able to climb up in it. They have a big ball pit, too. They sell food for kids (and grown-ups) here, and it's very reasonably priced.

I know that this facility has other stuff besides the play structure, but we didn't have time to investigate the whole thing. If you live in the South Bay, AdventurePlex is worth checking out!
