This is a great day trip, not just for the Crayola Factory, but also for the Canal Museum and canal boat ride. Easton itself has some nice shops, wonderful examples of early American architecture and great restaurants. On summer weekends there is often an open air market just steps from the factory. A trolley service runs regularly from the factory to the mule-drawn canal boat ride. Tickets can be purchased to both attractions at the Factory.

Located in Downtown Easton this was less a a factory tour as it was a Crayola museum. It is a great play to explore your creativity while trying out new crayola products. Theer is a section that explain crayon making and they do give out samples. There is also a wall to retired colors like Prussian Blue or Flesh. The the best area was the product area with window markers and coloring clay. It's a great time especially for th younger kids but be prepared to be creative.

Pros: Fun and informative
Cons: It can get crowded so get there early.

We had the pleasure of visiting this crayon factory which is renknowed in this area for it's events and canal ride. The best part of the visit here, was the trolley bus and the warm and friendly way in which our trolley driver treated us. She took the time to be sure than our Daughter was safely secured to be sure she wouldn't be hurt during the ride to and from the Canal ride and was very knowledgeable about history and such on the way. She also impressed me with her ability to fit such a large vehicle into such tiny spaces. The factory wasn't as impressive as one might expect though. The activities there were geared more towards younger children and didn't interest my child much. She did, however, enjoy browsing the gift shop that we visited on the way out. The Canal ride tickets that were offered for $5.00 each was something we were excited about, that is, until we arrived there via the trolley mentioned, only to find out that we would have to wait almost 2 hours for the next ride as the Mules being used were to be rested due to heat exhaustion. So we waited and waited and waited. The wait was not worth the ride though because the boat moved slower than I could have ran the course twice over and the guide never inhaled once during the entire 40 minute trip. The entire day was ok, but not a thrill. Find another activity if you don't want to fall asleep during this one.

PROS: Trolley Ride and Gift Shoppe
CONS: Booooring Canal Ride, long winded guide.
