My review of this park is *5 stars* Its one of the parks around the Gilbert/Chandler area. Its a large park that has many areas for everyone. Its many different water areas attract many people. You can sit and talk, people watch, feed the ducks or just listen to the running water.

As a photographer this has been a wonderful park to do our family sessions, children portraits, and engagement sessions. There are plenty of areas that will appeal to many of you. Plus it just a fun place to hang out with the small carnival rides, play grounds, train rides, and also a skate park and batting cages.

Regards
Jamie Hines

I wish that Mesa would get on the ball and spend its money on parks like this. This is by far my family's favorite park in the valley. There is a lake with fish and ducks, as well as a variety of other birds including a stork that stops in once in a while. Lots of picnic tables and grills, large areas of grass to play on, a carnival with a train that goes around the park, and tons of recreational things like tennis courts, a baseball diamond, batting cages, a recreation center, etc. They also offer a spring concert series in the outdoor amphitheater that is free to the public.

This is a great park in the heart of Gilbert. The kids really have a blast here with all the rides and the railroad. The prices are a little steep for the size of the rides, but none the less it's a lot of fun. There are plenty of ball fields, picnic areas, and a skateboarding park as well.

I remember when Freestone Park was just a big dirt lot. It has since evolved into a beautiful park. There are a lot of different things to do. There are large grassy areas that are good for picnics, playing soccer or ice blocking. There is a lake in the middle of the park with waterfalls which makes a perfect place for pictures.

You can also find playgrounds, batting cages, tennis, basketball, & volleyball courts, skate park, carousel and miniture train ride.
