The Orlando Hotel is a 98 room upscale European boutique hotel in the West Hollywood-Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on 3rd Street, one of the few areas you can stay in without the need of a car, walking distance to shopping, attractions and the best restaurants. We strive to be your luxury home away from home, providing stylish yet relaxing accommodations, catering to your spoken and unspoken wishes.

The Scene
When it comes to local favorites, it's hard to beat Third Street, with its fabulous shops devoted to travel books, cookbooks, high-concept decor and candles, not to mention its collection of popular lunch hangouts. While this alone is enough to lure visitors, this hotel refuses to rely solely on its location: It offers serious bang for the buck in a boutique setting.

The Details
An unassuming facade welcomes travelers into an intimate marble lobby. Tiny elevators ferry guests to modestly sized, stylish rooms, which take their scaled-back design cues from the world's best contemporary hotels. The guests themselves suit the laid-back yet exclusive nature of the hotel and include loyal tourists, up-and-coming rock bands and photographers. The hotel has managed to fit in almost every big hotel amenity--pool, fitness room, sundeck--and it's just a few blocks from Cedars-Sinai and the Beverly Center shopping mall.

Key Points

  • Boutique hotel
  • 24 hour room service
  • West Hollywood

The Inside Scoop

  1. Parking - Valet service charges $20.50 a day.
  2. The Extras - DVD and iPod players are available for rent at the front desk--contact the concierge.

The Orlando

This hotel was very average. I actually thought it was pretty overpriced. The location is pretty good, but it is in between the LA 'hot spots' so you have to walk a while or take a short car ride to get to the Sunset Strip, for example. The room was okay, it was clean but small. The decor wasn't that impressive. Service here was average.

Nice staff - comfortable rooms

by kt352

I had the opportunity to stay here regularly for a six month period. The hotel is often sold out, so if you want to stay, book ahead. The beds are fabulous, and the location is convenient to both shopping as well as some funky Third St. restaurants. The staff remembered me, and had a gift for me in the room each time I stayed as a reward for being a returning guest. Very nice place - would highly recommend!

Great Hotel for the Value

by mmcgraw13

The rooms at the Beverly Plaza were really nice. Much nicer than I expected, especially for the price. They have a good restaurant,Cava w/ an awesome happy hour ofSpanish food (I think the Sangia and food was 1/2 off). The hotel was in a cool neighborhood that has great restaurants and shops around it. I asked the front desk where I could go shopping and they gave me a free taxi voucher to the Grove. Thanks for the nice time.

Pros: friendly staff, location, value

First time in L.A.

by debbye

For my first visit to L.A., I chose the Beverly Plaza primarily for its West Hollywood location. The exterior is less than impressive, but once I stepped inside, this charming boutique hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and my room was delightful and very comfortable for a four-day stay. Be sure to explore the neighborhood restaurants. Top-rated G. Garvin is a few doors down, and Surya (a great Indian restaurant) is within easy walking distance. Other L.A. sights are close by. Stay here. You won't regret it.

Pros: Friendly staff, Location, Rooms

Cons: Parking too expensive, Blah exterior
