You would expect a really world class airport considering how LA is the entertainment capital/gateway of the US. Tom Bradley is none of that; its horribly boring if you have 3-4 hours to kill with almost nothing to kill time at. Compare this with most Asian airports and it pales in comparison. Lines are LONG so plan on getting there at least 3.5-4 hours before an international flight. Overall, its always been a tiring experience for me.

If you are flying abroad, this is the terminal you will have to go to. The entrance is big so drop off in front is no problem though your family cannot stay too long on the curb. The carts to carry your luggages cost $3 which is quite expensive. The terminal itself is easy to navigate through because there are only two main gates to go to your own gate. The lines move at a normal speed. However, don't expect to do lots of duty free shopping. The selection is very very limited to just make up and liquor shop. The food selection is very limited once inside. You can still get chinese/japanese food before entering the secured gates. But of course prices are high like in any airport.
