I don't recommend going to this office.

by V S.

I was a former patient and after it is all said and done, I cannot recommend anyone to go to this office. I did get good care from the doctors, not great care though. They were thorough with their recommended tests, as it should be. The nurses were nice and caring. My problem was on the business end. There was a lack of empathy, respect and patience when it came to billing questions. The office managers knew I had to prove my case and without it, it would have to go to small claims and no one would go through with losing time with work or just dealing with the stress of it all. They also don't bill to secondary insurance so I prepaid for it and that was a mistake because I can never get my money back for the remaining overpayment. They made sure they kept it. To sum it up, find a doctor who is great and an office staff with integrity!

Meadows Women's Center is difficult.

by A z.

I'm torn in writing this review. I do think the physicians are top notch, but I have to agree with the negative reviews. On AVERAGE the wait is over 2 hours. They routinely quadruple book appointments- ask around in the lobby when everyone's appointment is, you'll be shocked it's with the same doc at the same time as yours! It wouldn't be too terribly if they just told you they were a few hours behind, as they did at Green Valley Women's Clinic, so you could come back or reschedule.

I go through my billing with a fine tooth comb because I am consistently billed for procedures I didn't have. When I call they act surprised "Oh, we missed that." I'm not going to complain about over testing- I'm not a doctor, but other MD's tend to roll their eyes when you mention this practice.

Again, very good doctors. I never felt my care was jeopardized, just my wallet and the respect for my time.

There are other doctors who are as equally qualified without all the expense and headache. I would not recommend this practice.

Expert Care

by A. G.

After reading previous reviews I had to leave note of my experiences with this office-

My first visit was over 2 years ago for a positive pregnancy test, it turned out to be ectopic. At this office I was able to get the emergency instant care required after the status of the pregnancy was determinted. I was treated without an appointment on emergency status and even though it was a terrible moment in my life, was treated with compassion and care, this is before I had even developed a relationship with the office.

About a year after my initial pregnancy, I am going back for a second successful pregnancy.
I have seen Dr. Kirsten, and Dr. Joe for my pregnancy. Dr. K often moves quickly but will give you whatever time you need, and discuss things with you completely. She is to the point and direct, but I would rather not have things sugar coated.
Dr. J will devote your appointment to you and give you all the timeyou need to ask, think, etc. Even though he may be, you never get the impression he is in a hurry. His care is very compassionate, I feel these doctors care about my baby.

I had an emergency recently and was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Roberts was on call and I got to experience her care as well. Exceptional and compassionate just as the Rojas' care is. She showed up late at night at the hospital on a Saturday, and saw me followup on Monday, even though she's not my regular doctor.

These doctors order tests, and look at the details with a fine tooth comb, this in my opinion does not indicate greed, rather a complete devotion to the upmost medical care.

When I go to this office, the staff recognizes and acknowledges me, and seems to genuinely care how I am. I have had no problems with the current office staff.
The Doctors as well, are caring, compassionate, and personal-

Yes, sometimes you have to wait, but I was that emergency at one point, so I will wait to see these exceptional doctors so that they may care for others the way they cared for me in my time emergency and need.

Meadows Women's Center is THE BEST DR IN TOWN

by Taylor S.

I have been going to the Rojas's office for over 10 years, and my mother also is seeing Dr Kirsten we have been extremely happy with the office. I have found that when you arrive you are treated with kindness from the beginning all the way til when you check out. I have come in the office on a very busy day and was still treated the same, and Dr Kirsten took extra time with me regarding other concerns I had beside my gyn care, she sent me to see a cardiologist doctor because my blood pressure was elevated she would not let me leave until I had an appointment with that doctor. If you want a doctor who cares this is the place to come because not only will you receive care they go the extra mile

NO MORALS...BAD BUSINESS ETHICS!!!

by M K.

The office managers were rude!! They lack integrity!!! But, I believe they are just following their office guidelines set by their bosses, Dr. Joe and Kristen Rojas. They cannot run the office without given instructions. It is a business before doctor care. They are nice, but after the service is done, it's their charges you have to concern yourself with and they know exactly what they can get you with. Find another doctor and save yourself from being ignored for any incorrect billing. If you are a patient look closely into your account, if you can make sense of it. They don't make it easy to read. I'm sure it's intentional.

Former employee of Meadows Women's Center

by anonymous a.

Greetings to all! As a former employee of Meadows Women's Center I want to apologize for any unnecessary stress or concern that either the doctors or one of us (the clerical staff) have caused you. Unfortunately, I have to say that I agree with most of the posts on here.

Bedside manner, for the most part, is great with our doctors. However, their ethics and overall bullying of office staff is incredibly surprising, especially for such an advanced technological office, with many years of experience behind our doctors.

Yes, I do have to say that the doctors are in it for the money. I know that they do care for the overall well-being of their patients, however, it is money money money to these doctors, well...at least Joe and Kirsten who own the practice.

If the office staff has been rude to you or piped up with an attitude or snippy remark, I do apologize for that, on everyone's behalf. I would question why we are at times, lacking compassion though...

We as women all get stressed, but the undo stress that these owners and managers cause is almost too much to bear. Lots of times many of us leave at the end of the day with tears in our eyes from being yelled at for trying to do the right thing.

No, it is not your fault and when you come into a doctors office with a problem or are simply not feeling well, you IN NO WAY should have to put up with somebody who is not willing to take the time to hear you out or give you the time of day.

I know that when I walk into a doctor's office, I expect the utmost care and compassion, and hopefully a Christ-like love. I know that some of you are not, and will never receive this from our office, due to the simple fact of making it our best not to have Dr. Rojas fire us that day.

Times are tough, and my husband and I are thankful that I had a job, but sometimes I asked myself is it worth it? Is it worth the pressure and day-to-day stress? Is it worth the tears cried and the money earned to put up with a bullying dictatorship that goes no further than the owners taking their responsibilities when it comes to patient care, and putting it directly on your shoulders?

Sadly, no. My answer is that it is not worth my own health and well-being to earn these doctors money. I am actively looking and hope to find another job very soon. Until that time, I pray that they can do their best to accommodate their patients, and ask for some compassion to the office staff as well.

I really like my doctor here!

by m p.

I have read some of the comments below. Yes...there can be a long wait to see the doctors. But, it should also be noted that this is an OB/GYN office. They do have to deliver baby's and that can not always be predicted.

Dr. Joe has taken much time to discuss a number of options with me and appreciate the time and care that he spends with me. He knows more about my personal life than most people. He always inquires about personal life at every visit. I don't feel like just a number or $$$ as someone stated below.

When Dr. Joe was running late at the hospital the other morning, his wife Dr. Kristin happily did my follow up exam and I was out of there prior to my scheduled appointment time. If you are nice to the front desk staff and nurses, they will do there best to get you out in a timely fashion. I suggest early morning appointments if you don't wish to wait.

Yes, there are a few issues with the front desk staff. Two weeks ago, I addressed my concerns with Dr. Joe. He admitted that there were some customer service issues and they are working to fix them. They want these issues resolved too. They are committed to giving their patients outstanding customer service.

Personally, I am glad that Dr. Joe did some of the test on me that he did. They ended up saving me time and money in the long run. He also was able to solve a problem that I've had for the past 12 years. I have seen an endless sea of OB/GYN doctors in this town over the past 10 years. I have to say that there are a number of quacks in the town...so beware.

When it comes down to it. I would rather wait a few hours and be seen by someone who cares about me and is willing to explore options to help me than go back to some of the doctors that I've seen in this town.

As always if you don't like a doctors opinion, then get a second opinion. I say get as many opinions as it takes. I've seen 25 GYN doctors over the past 12 years. It took that long to for me to find Dr. Joe and to finally get some medical advice that really helped me. I wish all you ladies the best. It is hard to find good OB/GYN care.

One last comment. If a doctor has a "god" complex, it is because we as patients have not taken the time to bring them back to reality. We, as patients, should not take "god" like behavior from doctor or anyone for that matter. We have the right to demand and to be treated as a person and receive good customer service. Whenever a doctor pulls that with me, I remind them of that. Most doctors respect me for that if they don't then they aren't the doctor for me.

Meadows Women's Center is a Medical NIGHTMARE!!

by m w.

Absolute NIGHTMARE Office....The staff, especially Marcia & Debbie, I doubt if they can hear good or read. They have "MENTAL PAUSE". Marcia must hate her job or just have too much to do. She is a walking future liability LAW SUIT, for Dr. Rojas. She can not get any thing right. Wrong messages to the doctors, wrong prescriptions, does not give other staff members messages...Why do they keep her? A relative possibly?Dr. Joe Rojas walks out of your exam room & into another patients office, forgetting to write down ALL the things he just told you he will do. So blood tests are NOT ordered...test are incomplete...presumptions are NOT called in...pure insanity!! The Rojas medical team have built a "Posh Ultra Modern EXPENSIVE Office $$$." It is so busy there, they do a lot of messages to one another, by head sets & tablet computers. There are so many patients herded in like cattle $$$, the care for patients is extremely lacking & very scary. They want to cut out all your female organs, before having adequate tests done $$$ that truly PROVE cancer$$$. They say it's precautionary. Then tell you, "That is why they make SYNTHETIC HORMONES $$$." Dr. Joe Rojas, will suggest you get a 2nd opinion. If it does NOT match what he suggested, he will transfer your chart & refuse to see you again. If you will NOT let him do exactly what he wants for your body...NOT what you want. Like a total hysterectomy, when NO actual findings state you really need one. So there is a BIG medical ego problem here. It's about them...their pocket book $$$. NOT YOU!! Be very careful....get ton's of tests done, if you need a hysterectomy or breast surgery. Get ALL scans & your ULTRA SOUNDS done, at a different facility like WEST VALLEY IMAGING. Do NOT go to Chris, the Drill Sargent Ultra Sound Tech, in their office. You will wait over an hour for her. Then you will meet, "A witch on wheels." Besides that, the old broad uses OLD equipment & a double whammy bill $$$. Only trust results else where. Get 2 to 3 opinions, on any readings. Be prepared, the Rojas Team will go crazy on you, knowing you got another opinion. It is your body & your rights to do so!! Do NOT be afraid to tell them that. The Dr.'s EGO here is like... they are GOD'S. They will try to instill very negative thoughts in your mind...if you do NOT do, exactly what they want & where they want you to have the tests done....WATCH OUT!!! Get a report copy the same day of ALL your results & appointments...Plus, ALL the doctors said they would do. I PROMISE THEY WILL FORGET. Go over ALL the doctor said to you, with the check out staff. I will bet you 1/2 of what the doctor said they want to do....WILL NOT BE DICTATED. You will be waiting for MANY corrections & then have to put up with the staffs attitude problems. This office causes a lot of stress, when you want to feel & be better. Also... Dr. Roberts, "Misdiagnosed my friends breast biopsy." She dictated & reported a breast exam" to be "A Pre-existing Condition" to her insurance company & wrote it was, "Most likely a Malignancy." It was NOT. My friend NEVER had a lump in her breast or discharge from her nipple ever before. Dr. Roberts reported, after an exam, "The wrong color discharge from this patients nipple, to indicate cancer." The insurance denied her payments for exams & future surgery. The same day, Dr, Roberts sent my friend to their Breast Doctor Referral, who immediately was going to give my friend a "Total Mastectomy." Saying she would have cancer rage through her body if he did NOT remove her breasts immediately. Thank GOD my friend had her own records to prove to ALL that Dr. Roberts, 100% misdiagnosed her & caused extreme unnecessary drama & shattering mental stress. When proved wrong, Dr. Roberts did place in writing a corrected report, that allowed my friend to have ONLY her duct & benign lump, removed from her breast. The insurance company paid for it. By the way, it was a breast surgeon my friend chose herself. If you go to Meadows Women's Center, Good Luck.

2 hour wait, they over charge you for everything!!!!!!! don't go here!!!!

by Nicole R.

I had the worst pregnancy here.!Every time I went to see Dr. Rojas, I had to wait 2 hours then only see her for 5 minutes and then I have to return the next day to do it all over again. Why?? you ask? Well, they said they have to monitor me, first for dehydration, then for anything else they can think of to make money. I had to go to their office 3 times a week for my last 5 months. It was horrible to wait 2 hours then check the baby's heartbeat for another hour and then do it again over and over again. If there was something wrong then I definitely have no problem following their orders but this was my second pregnancy and everything that they said they were concerned with I already dealt with in my first so I knew I was fine. It's been a year and I am still getting bills from them. I am being charged for seeing doctors in there that I didn't even see???!! I have insurance, I pay my co pay and on top of that I just paid them $900 for I don't know what because every time I call I would get a different explanation. I just got sick of it and paid them off and am looking for a real doctor.

I agree!

by amy m.

Always a great place to go if you want to catch up on sleep in the waiting room. I can literally curl up and sleep there and be the last one seen (2 hour waits--yup!) I also had an annual where the doctor 'missed' cells and I had to go back again to redo the exam, and they made me pay again twice!! I always have to do follow-ups, when I don't even have pain...It makes me think that if nothing was wrong with us, they'd be out of business! They might lose patients by these unnecessary exams, long waits...since we are losing our patience.

Don't go here

by Susan D.

My daughter, my co-worker and myself saw Dr. MC Hale At Meadows Women Center. There is something wrong in this practice. If they feel you need and ultrasound they keep giving you one every 6 weeks and the test are inconclusive and repeated. They are trying for a boutique feel but they are overcharging for there fees and heavily billing you insurance. My co-worker was being charge $900 for an ultrasound and when she changed to another Doctor they only charge $200 for the same procedure. I was charged $1,100 for one office visit that included a biopsy. When you leave the practice they keep send you certified letters to protect themselves. My daughter had a call in to the doctor because she had a problem. The doctor did not return her call for 2 days but called me to see why I was not booking a return appointment. They are more concerned with not getting sued and making money than taking care of patients. I think Dr.MC Hale cares for her patients but the policies of the practice stops her from being a good doctor.Find another practice.

Very Rude Staff!!!! Very long wait!! Go somewhere else!!!

by Ellen R.

Dr. Rojas is wonderful & my daughter (who is 18) likes her as her doctor & that is the ONLY reason she is still with them, unfortunately the staff is rude, the wait is very long ( we waited for nearly 2 1/2 hrs once but on an average has been a little over an hr each time). I recently discovered that one of my neighbors daughters was a medical assistant there and had quit because of bad co-workers and low pay, that says it all!! The front office doesn't talk to the back office so they ask you for your deductible twice and if you tell them it was paid when you signed in they are annoyed. There always seems to be some "additional fee" that was added on since your last visit that you get hit with along with your deductible (something I have never had to deal with at other doctor offices). They don't always call back when they say they will. Complaints always seem to fall on deaf ears! My daughter still goes there because so much work has been done, but we will have to start all over and find another OB/GYN with a competent and nicer staff. The staff there is awful!! The nicest person there other than Dr. K. Rojas isn't even a staff member but works for Quest Diagnostics and takes blood samples for lab work. Spare yourself and go elsewhere . Anyone suggest a good OB/GYN with a great support staff please let me know! I give this practice 2 stars for Dr. Rojas (because I think she is still a great doctor) but her staff gives nursing a foul reputation! And I thought emergency rooms were bad!

DONT GO THERE!

by Totally F.

I went there based on reviews I read online. I wish I had read a bad review and gone someplace else. Yes, Dr Kirsten Rojas is a great ob/gyn. But a 2 hour wait before being seen for a basic annual is horrible. You dont get a person when you call with questions....in fact, several times no one called me back at all. They order needless tests and followup tests. They were downright rude on the phone with me twice.
There is NO customer service, I was continually frustrated by them. Now I have to start all over again to find a new ob/gyn. What a pain in the butt. grrrr

Thorough, Compassionate and worth the wait

by Kristen D.

Yes, there is a long wait - especially if you are waiting for Dr. Kirsten, but the staff is very upfront about this and the reason is that the doctor's are in high demand. Also, as with any Obstetrics doctor, emergencies do arise and babies come anytime of the day - even during appointment times. I have seen all three doctors and have found them to be excellent. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience during my last pregnancy and the care and genuine concern of this office is truly why I give them such high praise. Not only did all staff show compassion the last thing on their mind that day was my bill. I was told that could be taken care of at a latter date. Yes, they do collect the copay and deductible for pregnancy at the onset but so do other doctors in this area. It is not uncommon practice and anything left over is a credit on your account. In an emergency situation there is no better team both medically and personally. Their expertise is comforting but more importantly they treat they're patients as people not numbers. I would and do highly recommend them.

Do not go here unless you like unnecessary stress during your pregnancy

by Anonymous W.

I have been torturing my self for three years, and the birth one one child, at MWC. The problem is not the doctors themselves, it's the good cop, bad cop routine they've got going on. The wait time is long and there is never any appologies or explanations. They drum up excuses for you to come back for ultrasounds, monitoring, etc when everything is fine, and of course it is extra $$. The lady who does the ultrasounds, Chris, is a b**** and she has insulted me and my children several times. It feels like the Doctors are sugary sweet but make you feel like you are on the assembly line. Then they send you out to billing and then then you are in trouble. These girls they have working there are classified hags. They do all they can to embarrass, harass, and intimidate you. They do not admit their own errors and contradict what the doctors tell me. The last straw for me was that this week, after getting a blood test results they could not discuss on the phone, the billing department phoned to tell me that I am no longer welome until I paid my outstanding bill (which I have been making payments on) was paid in full an that I needed to cancel my appointment. In shock I called the office to let them know what happened, thinking there had to be a mistake, and the girl cheerfully cancelled my appointment!

Also, no, children are NOT welcome at this office. They are treated like vermin, and a receptionist had the gall to tell my mother to take my kids outside while I was in with the doctor.

Trust me I am done with these folks. After leaving that office so many times in tears I can't believe I didn't leave sooner. But I guess I just needed that last push out of the nest.

Dr Roberts is the reason I come here

by Kim D.

When I arrived in Las Vegas, I was unsure who a good doctor would be and I did a lot of research. I found Dr. Roberts to be the best in town. She is caring, cautious and really easy to talk to. The care I have received from her as been nothing less than awesome. However, the reviews concerning the staff are not completely off base, at least when it comes to billing. I have made numerous phone calls to clear up some confusion, but not once has my call been returned. Since I have double insurance, you would think that this office would make sure to clear up any billing matters quickly. I think where the billing department is concerned, the owners of this business may want to find more efficient staff.

Outstanding Service and Care!

by C W.

My experience with the Meadows Women Center has been absolutely wonderful... from my very first visit to my most recent visit. I just wanted to remind everyone that the doctors and nurses are dealing with multiple pregnancies at time.

When it comes to the wait time I think people forget about the walk-in emergencies, deliveries, the follow ups, and most of all... giving each patient the time and care that we deserve. Would you rather have these doctors and nurses rush you off without taking the time to respond to your concerns or needs? As for other practices they don't answer questions, you feel rushed, and/or they load you up with drugs with out concern.

Dr. Joe - My pregnancy and surgery was a pleasant experience. Thank you for your time and care!

This office is high tech and high touch. I never understood why I had to fill out the same paperwork everytime I went to the doctor-now I don't because they keep it all online.
Dr. Roberts is caring, professional and competent. The staff is efficient, friendly and empathetic. I highly recommend this office.

UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF

by J T.

i went in for my appt and Sadie, the nurse practiioner admitted to me that the ultrasound machine she was using on me was old and not very good. The second appt they made me wait for 45 min while they figured out my insurance that wouldnt start until Sept 1st and I offered to pay cash for the visit and they told me that I had to pay the entire $3000 for services i have yet to receive and then i would be reimbursed once my insurance took effect. I asked them why they didnt call me the day before so we could have sorted all of it out before i drove all the way out there. I told them it was ludacris and i walked out.

professional and caring doctors and staff

by Anonymous

I'm very disappointed reading some of the reviews regarding this practice.

I find that most of the staff is friendly and courteous not perfect but always willing to try to help. They are very advanced w/ their practice I recieve automated phone call reminders for my appointments, where other offices dont bother calling. Instead of filling out paperwork everytime I come into the office they have a digital records system which is more efficient and also cuts back on paper waste. I recieve reminders for my annuals if I miss an appointment someone calls me to see if I'm okay. I always recieve my test results with in a week or so. If something is wrong I hear from a nurse almost instantly.
There are always new faces in the office but there are also those smiling faces I'll never forget. I do wait awhile to be seen but it is a very busy office and for the excellent care that you recieve many people have noticed and continue to come back and recommend these doctors. Therefore you have a thriving practice. Dr. Kirsten and Dr. Joe are caring people who do not overlook anything even upto letting staff members go that might not be up to par. They are constantly trying to improve their practice for the benefit of their business and their patients.

I Love this office.

by Corey M.

I must say that there turnover rate for staff is sometimes high. Only because they are looking for the best. But you still have the familiar faces. They do a great job on reminding me about my app. my other dr's don't even call, they just charge you double what they do. They also send me things in the mail so I don't have to do it in the office and they can get me out quicker. The wait time is better because they moved offices and now they have more rooms. Once they have more nurses I don't think there will be any wait. I love this office and I will never see anyone else. Even if they don't take my ins.

Dr. Kirsten is amazing!

by Anonymous

I went to Dr. Kirsten for two dermoid cysts one being 11cm. She was my second opinion and I am so glad I saw her! It did take me a few weeks for them to schedule me in and I did wait an hour, but she was very thorough and had my best interest in mind. She answered all of my questions and reassured me many times before my surgery. She was able to save both of my ovaries and now I'm pregnant. She is fantastic.

The best care!

by Theresa B.

I've been going to Dr. Kirsten Rojas for over 15 years. While I may complain about having a procedure, I have to tell you, Dr. Kirsten has your best interest in mind. She is truly professional and knows what she is doing. I had a high risk pregnancy and Dr. Kirsten went the extra mile to make sure nothing was overlooked. Thanks to her, I had a healthy baby and easy delivery. I've been to other doctors and not one of them is as thorough as she. In reading some of the above reviews I hesitate to wonder if those patients actually received better treatment elsewhere. Sure, all offices are going to have their ups and downs with wait time, scheduling mishaps or change of staff. I didn't really like the whole electronic paperwork thing either, but you know what? It comes with the territory. All offices have you do that. Once you do it you're good to go. Just have patience. The professionalism and experience is worth the wait and any other little problems that may arise. I would rather be inconvenienced than worry about my health or my baby. Dr. Kirsten, Dr. Joe and Dr. Lisa are who you want on your side.

Doctor is great, office staff is rude!!

by Brittany S.

I've met Dr. Kirsten Rojas for one appt. so far. She is very nice, and her nursing staff is great. Her office staff on the other hand is very rude, and not at all accomidating. I had booked an appt. 3 weeks in advane due to a positive at home pregnancy test. They called me w/ some automated call that said to confirm press 1. I did and then hung up. When I got to the appt. the front desk girl, tells me that they have to cancel my appt. because after I pushed 1 on the phone there was an additional message after this that told me I had to go online and fill out some patient information. They would not allow me to fill it out there, and made me come back. I was in tears with frustration (it's hard for me to line up a sitter for my other kids) and she offered no help, or even an apology. I have never been treated like this before.

Long time patient.

by Anonymous

I have been going to MWC for 12 years. As with anything, there are pros and cons.
The parking is not great, the front desk staff constantly changes and the billing has become troublesome. But...Dr. Lisa Roberts is amazing! I wish she could tend to all of my medical needs. She has seen me through two pregnancies, a few "procedures" and many paps. I love her! She has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen.
Dr. K. Rojas can seem cold, but she really knows what she is doing. She delivered one of my children and she really took control in the delivery room. If you have a real problem, you want her as your doctor. My experiences with Dr. Joe are limited, but I did hear one of the nurses say that he is great. If you are short on time, find another office. The weight time can be very long, but worth it. I had complications with both of my pregnancies and often had to bumped to the head of the line. Stinks for the other people waiting, but when it really matters, you are taken immediately.

Dr. Lisa Roberts is great!! She is compassionate and listens!!

by Darci K.

I visited this office for the first time on 10/24/07 for an annual pap exam. When I first checked in, the receptionist did seem unfriendly. I had to wait for about 40 minutes but it was worth it because the nurse and doctor were wonderful. Dr. Roberts took the time to listen and give me thorough feedback on my personal issues. She made me feel as if she genuinely cared and took the time to educate me, which I appreciated. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out the door. The office was clean. However, it was a little difficult to get a appointment in an efficient amount of time... I had to wait about 4 weeks for a follow up appointment. But again, the service compensates for the wait.

Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Roberts and this practice.

On the fence

by Anonymous

There are two big issues that you could deal with when going to this office. #1 your wait time will be LONG. Most times I've gone to this dr I've waited 1-2 hours. This is a usualy type of situation. #2 the front office staff is very rude. They are rude by phone and rude in person. The nurses are nice..but again it is the office staff that seems really impatient and rude. Especially the girl that does the appointments. She is just not cut for such a job.

The dr themselves are fine but you will run into not being able to reach them when things need to be addresssed. I had a problem with FMLA papers and had the worst time trying to get it corrected.

I just don't know how I really feel about this dr office since I've not been to any others here in Vegas. By reading the other comments they are pretty split too.

Not the best in customer service. If you can bite the bullet and don't really care about those things then go for it. If not I'd go to someone recommended. I have been told previously after I went here that I shouldn't have...

Terrible customer service attitude

by Anonymous

I would not reccomend this doctor to anyone. My experience was bad from the first phone call. I called and asked about certain equipment-was told they had it-booked an appointment, waited approx 6 weeks for my appointment. When my appointment came, it was cancelled with no apology-and a very bad/rude attitude from the office staff letting me know that the doctor's time was more valuable than mine. Also, they did not have the equipment that I was originally told that they had-they did not "know why" I was told they had it. No responibility for their mistake. Did not return my phone calls. Unable to get me in for another 6 weeks or so-complained to office manager, no apology there either. Very poor customer service-I decided to find another doctor rather than be tied to these folks. As the office staff is who you will deal with most of the time, I suggest finding another option-this one can cause uneccesary stress.

When it matters

by Kelly K.

Dr. Kirsten Rojas delivered my baby and I have to say, when it mattered the most she absolutely came through. My daughter was born 6 weeks early due to multiple complications that I sincerely believe would not have been caught by a lesser doctor. She is extremely professional but there was a point when we were concerned about having our baby early; she explained why it was best for the baby and said that she wouldn't be able to sleep at night otherwise. She was truly concerned.

After delivering my daughter my insurance changed but I wanted to stay with Dr. Rojas. She always made sure I paid a discounted rate.

I did have to wait often when I had my appointments which was frustrating until I realized that Dr. Rojas was making sure that those that needed her the most had her as I did later in my pregnancy. Complications can't be planned.

Just money to these doctors

by Tonya O.

I had to find a new doctor when I was 5 months pregnant. (My insurance had changed.) I was so excited to find Dr Rojas who delivers at Summerlin, and she took my insurance. 2 days before my first appointment her staff called to inform me that I would need to pay for all the copays and deductibles and my portion of the delivery at my first appointment. It did make me upset but I needed to meet this doctor and I felt like I was running out of time. I arrived for my appointment, they gave me several papers to fill out, no problem, I had not even began on these papers, I was called to the back so they could run my credit card. I expressed my concerned with the fact that had not even met the doctor to see how I liked her. Her office assured me that I could get a 100% refund if I was unsatisfied. But they had to collect upfront because we live in a transient town. (My husband is a Metro officer with insurance from his job, its not like Im some crack mom looking for a handout.) I was extremely unhappy. They sent me to a 3rd party to get an ultrasound, where I had to pay my deductible all over again. Dr Rojas' office doesn't report to the insurance that you have already paid your deductibles and all the fees until the birth of the baby. That made me upset too. I stuck it our for another doctors visit. I was in a happy mood. My husband and I were called back to an examination room where we waited over 45 minutes. I finally got to meet Dr Kirsten Rojas, who barely introduced herself to me and didn't acknowledge my husband whatsoever. I was not impressed at all. I am considering finding another doctor. I wonder if I will get a refund on the delivery as quikly as they collected it from me. Is this how all doctors in Vegas work??

PROS: Delivery at Summerlin
CONS: Everything else

All are wonderful doctors here!!

by Eva L. | insider Insider | Rank: 22,964

Kirsten Rojas and all of the doctors and staff are great here. They are friendly and caring. They explain what they are doing and why they are. I have been here for my annual check ups, and also throught my pregnacy and delivery of my son almost 4 years ago. Now I just got news that I have a new insurance company taking over and that the Meadows Women's Center isn't on the provider list. I'm bummed out, but will try to get them put on it. Because I don't want to go any where else.

PROS: Staff!!!
CONS: Only the wait time. But as with most doc office's it's the same anywhere.
