CCSN Desert Garden Center is a nursery run by The Community College of Southern Nevada. When first moving to the Las Vegas Valley, we soon discovered that very few of the plants we were used to growing would grow in the desert wind and heat. I discovered this nursery that is staffed by knowledgeable horticulture students, who are always eager and willing to inform me about what will grow here, and what I need to do to keep my garden thriving. This nursery deals in only native plants, and all plants are guaranteed, so I feel there is little risk involved in purchasing from their wide variety of stock. They have a little demonstration garden located at the entrance to the facility, and I've gotten many ideas for how the plants will look when they mature. The staff is very helpful and always greets me with warmth and enthusiasm. This is a fun place to visit.
