Carnegie Hall

this is a beautiful venue with amazing acoustics that hosts orchestras from around the world all year. vienna philharmonic, berlin phil, cleveland, boston, and philly all play here when they come to nyc. they offer $10 student rush tickets for a lot of their concerts, which is a big plus. the only downside is the bathroom locations, which are not very convenient, and the fact that you have to climb many many flights of stairs to get to the top of the hall (where the student rush tickets usually are). but it is well worth the climb.

This is the concert hall in New York. Everyone has played here from Caruso to Paul Robeson to Hot Tuna. It is a beautiful venue kept in Mint condition by an excellent staff. The program is always varied, rock, folk, jazz and classical along with many other forms of music. Try to get tickets to something, many events are surprisingly cheap for seats upstairs and then enjoy the Hall and the performance.
