This show is one of the funniest ever. I sat in the front mezzanine and had a decent view of the stage. The acoustics in the theater are good too. Seats were comfortable and there was ample leg room.

PROS: Great show, good seats

The John Golden Theater looks exactly like what you would expect a Broadway theater to look like. In fact, it looks like something out of the movies.

Despite of its classic look, it has played host to some of the more cutting-edge plays. I've seen Edward Albee's contravercial play The Goat there, and right now it's hosting Avenue Q which is a Broadway musical with... puppets.

Ticket prices are also classic Broadway. If you want to buy two tickets, you have to be prepared to put out a day's worth of salary. There are cheaper seats in the upper level of course, but when you're purchasing them, be sure to ask whether they're full or obstructed view. Some of the obstructed view seats are behind a column, so you won't be able to see much of the stage.

PROS: Great look, great plays
CONS: Expensive; be careful with obstructed view tickets
