I mainly go to kids theater for children events .. if you are near the front middle the kids can see if they are in the back itis very hard for the to see,, when the chirstmas carol was playing here I would get tickets in the middle side because you can still see and for some reason peolpe do nt buy the end seats on the sides .. the sound is good the seats are comfortable it is a nice experience.

The Madison Square Garden can be the best and the worst music experience. No concert goer would go see his or her favorite band in a gigantic stadium if they could help it, but I guess among gigantic stadiums the Garden is far from the worst.

But what many people don't know is that right under the Garden, in fact part of the Garden complex, is a small, cozy, beautiful theater. It used to be called the Paramount Theater; later on the name got changed for some odd reason to just the Theater. To me it will always be the Paramount.

There is only one level of seating, with the main floor and the back sections separated by nothing but a walkway. The seating is gently sloped on the floor and even more sloped in the back, so the view is great from anywhere. The theater is mid-sized - bigger than concert clubs, but much smaller than most other New York theaters that offer rock concerts. The sound system is absolutely stellar.

The prices vary greatly, but in general they're in the mid- to high range, since this venue is, after all, part of the overpriced and overbloated Madison Square Garden. But it's still pretty bearable - usually it's around the same amount that you would pay to sit in the nosebleeds in the arena where you can't make out anything on the stage. It's much more worth it here, in the small theater, than it is up there in the arena.

PROS: Small, cozy, great sound, mid-range prices
CONS:
