I completed the online courses, through Gainsville FL, for their medical billing and coding and medical office management and I'm still waiting for my return phone call of how I am supposed to take my final exams and my state exams. They basically took my $6,000 that the military gave for spouses to attend school and went off and left me as a sitting duck with no real education. Everything that I "learned" I could have found out from books at a book store and by googling it.

I didn't go to the New Horizons in Beaverton, OR, but I did attend in Pittsburgh, PA. As everyone else had mentioned, it is correct, the Institution is an absolute joke. I spent $4,000 on a personal loan for the ICND1 & ICND2 course and felt like I got about $500 dollars worthy of knowledge. Anyone who is interested in getting the education for the CCNA, ICND1 & ICND2 simply purchase the book and read them. You can really save yourself a lot of time, frustration, and most of all A LOT of money. I DO NOT recommend New Horizons to anyone. The instruct was really knowledgeable, but he definitely was not $4,000 dollars knowledgeable. I also signed up for an "IN CLASS" experience and a few days before the class begin my account executive contacted me and told me I would have to take it remotely in Memphis, TN. Thanks for the "IN CLASS" experience that I specifically requested. To sum this review up it would best be done by saying, buy the books, read the material, study the sample questions and pass the test. NO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! It's really a joke!!

Ask them if they are accredited. Ask them to show you lists of people that found jobs after completion. Call the ex-students. You'll find out this is a total scam.

I had possibly the worst training at new horizon somebody could experience, Be wary of any program that want you to pay all the classes up front, Generally no refund if something comes up and you are late to one of their hurried classes, they try to push you through. seconds all my instructors read straight from the book, nothing else was did in the class but read, if i wanted to just read the book, i would have just bought the book would have saved me thousands of dollars. They say you can take the class over and over which is kinda true, but they put u in the back of the line and you get to take the class eventually when someone cancels out, it could take a while, most of my classmates felt the same way. very bad experience

This is a good place to send your employees or just to take a brush up on basic computer using word, excel, access, publisher, etc. The class costs are reasonable and you can take as little or much as you want.

I took several courses here to brush up on my computer skills. I actually wanted to take my beginner's/moderate level knowledge to the next level for things like Word/Excel/Powerpoint. They offer a ton of different courses for different levels.

New Horizons is an outstanding technical learning program that guides students through all that they need to know in order to become a Microsoft Certified Engineer. Their school is not accredited, so you will have to seek out student loans though means other than FAFSA. The knowledgeable instructors and staff will train you, help you fine tune your resume, help you network with computer progressionals, and offer internship opportunities.
