One of the workers here has a sticker on his truck that says "piss on america" .
The best breakfast burritos are around the corner at CABAIS mexican restaurant on 4th ave. Family owned and operated. These guys are awesome!

Carne asada fries!
What more can I say?
Best in SD, hands down!
Peeps here are a bit weird as it is Hillcrest but other than that the food is quick, beware of coming here after 1am on Thurs-Sat., the lines are super long!

La Posta is one of those funky little Mexican places that only San Diego can have. It is basically a little shed with some tables outside the place. They serve up hearty basic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. You order, and are served, through a little tiny window.
The people are nice and the food is cheap. Heck, you can eat lunch for $4-$5. Fills you up...and you are on your way.
Try to avoid the bird residue on the outdoor tables, and don't make eye contact with the grungy street types.
The people in my condo building love going here. It is practically a tradition for us.

This small mexican in Hillcrest has cheap, delicious, and authentic Mexican food. It is open twenty-four hours a day and makes a great stop after a late night out. The quantites are large and the food is filling, so go with a good appetite. This is a place a love and stop at all the time.
