Michael J. Katz

Dr. Katz is great, he takes time in explaining things, and does not rush you like most doctors. Just a wonderful doctor. Only thing is I stopped going to his office because of the front office staff. I was 20 minutes late to my appointment and the person who "greeted" me made sure I knew I was late. Instead of hello, her first words to me were "you are going to have to wait, because you are late" but not in a nice tone. I have to say that there are so many great doctors out there, but I don't know what it is about the reception desk I have yet to have someone smile or say hello to me. Forget about "how are you" that will never happen. Too many doctors lose patients because their front desk employees are not nice. Is it so hard to treat people as you would be treated yourself?

after two weeks of going to my regular doctor with a painful ear infection i was given antibiotic ear drops, and then oral antibiotics when the drops had no effect. my condition didn't improve at all, so i decided i needed to see a specialist. dr. katz was local so i figured what do i have to lose? as soon as he looked in my ear he told me my infection was fungal, not bacterial, and thus antibiotics aren't going to help. he used a little "wand" to drain all the fluid out of my ear and told me to get some lotramin drops from the drug store. its been a few years and my ear has been fine ever since. i would definately recommend dr. katz.

This Ear, Nose & Throat specialist performed a tonsillectomy on my 6 year old son and placed tubes in my 3 year old daughter's ears. He's amazing, he has a great bedside manner and did a wonderful job for both procedures, we've had no complications what so ever. Highly recommend him and totally trust him!!!

He specializes in the areas of Ear, Nose and Throat-head and Neck Surgery and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.

He sees all ages in his practice, from small children to adults / seniors.
We saw him for our daughter, who's 11 and he took the time to explain everything to her on a level she could understand. He made her feel very comfortable and not nervous. Even when he had to do a 'not-so-comfortable' procedure using a scope into her nose to see her adnoids. he was very gentle with her and she said, and I quote...'Hmm, that didn't hurt a bit!' lol
He was quick to call with test results as well.

PROS: Great bedside manner, great for children and all ages, very thorough
