I am not sure why there are a bunch of negative reviews below...I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I would recommend this place to all brides. The dress I bought is so beautiful and perfect for me. I paid $1450 for the dress, bodice, vail, and head piece. I went on a weekday, so that definitely helped for more personal attention. I went to David's Bridal and hated their dresses, they looked cheap and the service was horrible. This store was great and had a great selection of wedding gowns. A++++ in my book. People are always very quick to post bad reviews and not good ones.

Horrific customer service. Bridesmaids should beware of their obscure "store policies" before handing the store their credit card to charge anything on (because they dont'' proactivley supply these "policies.") I would not want to be dealing with these people in the days and months leading up to my wedding. And stay far away from their difficult store manager Sandra Ashby.

I visited this store after going to 3 different states in search of my dress. I was having an August wedding purchased it in Jan had to pay an extra $100.00 in order for it to be here in time for alterations. Well two days later I found out that my fiance would be deploying to Iraq well, with that being said I called to see if there was anyway I could get some money back. They were very inconsiderate and said NO!!! all sales are final. After explaining their policy all sales are final, I explained this was totally out of my control they would not bend even a little bit. So now I'm stuck with a dress. I would not recommend this store to anyone!!!

I had looked at five other stores before going to Cincinnati Bride. I had actually been to Bridal and Formal right before entering Cincinnati Bride and had the worst service there, but when I walked into Cincinnati Bride I had a consultant right away say hello and be cheerful. As I looked around I noticed all of the dresses were presented well. You did not have to go through bags of dresses all pushed together like a mad house. It was the first store that had dresses out of bags evenly spaced so you could look at each one. I found that these dresses were beautiful, it was hard to choose from them. The consultant helped me try the dresses on and liking everyone of them I finally came to my dress and I just knew. I never had any issues in the store I would say however, it took 6 months to get my dress in, so it is never too early to look. When I called to get status on my order I left a message and then they would call back, that was not a big issue for me.

I really loved my experience at Cincinnati Bride and cannot say enough about Megan how helpful she was to me and my whole bridal party. I really felt like she listened to what I wanted and didn't push me like other stores (Bridal and Formal was the WORST!!) If you are a new bride and looking for the perfect dress you must go see them!!

Today my sisters, my mother, and I went shopping for my sister's wedding gown. We made a 3 hour drive to Cincinnati and had shopped several stores with good results before our last stop at Cincinnati Bride. We walked in and browsed their gowns for awhile before we were approached by a consultant. She asked my sister if she had registered. When my sister replied, "No", the consultant fired back with, "We NORMALLY do appointments but you can register at the desk. All our consultants are very busy with scheduled appointments." (There was one bride-to-be trying on dresses and we were the only other people in the store....but somehow everyone was very busy with appointments...hmmm.) My sister, wanting to follow the rules, registered and then we followed the consultant, Sandra (who appeared to be a manager or owner of some sort) hastily showed us the store. When my sister was ready to try on dresses, Sandra offered a slip and bra which was appropriate. My sister decided she did not want to use the slip b/c she knew she did not want to wear one on the day of the wedding. When Sandra found this out, she argued with us over the slip. I acted on my sister's behave and just plainly told her that my sister was not interested in using the slip, but thanks for offerring it. She argued once again...then when it was time to switch dresses Sandra rudely closed the curtain on me so that I could not help my sister with her gowns. (My sister had asked me to help her...) The whole experience was poor and we had expected much more from this shop, and especially someone who seemed to be in a management position.
Tips: Do not go to Cincinnati Bridal. Instead if you want good service, you should visit the store across the street called Bride and Formal. Great customer service and 4,000 dresses to choose from. The consultant at Bride and Formal was very intune with the types of dresses my sister explained to her and what she was looking for. Sandra at Cincinnati Bridal was darn near the opposite. Just a suggestion to brides--who needs rude especially when you're already stressed! Happy dress hunting!

When I first ordered a bridesmaid dress from this company, they didn't explain that I would have to pay an extra $20 for shipping since I am out of state. Although I did tell the sales lady and I hand wrote on the order form that I would like the dress shipped directly to me since I was out of state and it would make it easier for everyone involved. The sales lady should have told me that they would need to charge me an extra $20 to have it shipped to me since I am out of state, which would have been fine. The company did however charge everyone $12 shipping but we aren't sure what that got us. The company also made the bride pay extra to rush the dresses but they came in within 4 weeks not the 8-10 weeks they said it would take. Even though 8-10 weeks would have been fine, they made her stress enough to pay more.
The company called me after I ordered my dress asking about one of the bridesmaids. She wanted her specific sizes for the dress and asked me if she was pregnant, which she is definitely not pregnant. When the company got a hold of this bridesmaid to confirm she was not pregnant, the sales lady proceeded to ask her about the other bridesmaids and what their sizes were. She actually asked how the bridesmaids sizes compared to her?? I am not sure why the sales lady wouldn't call the other bridesmaids directly to confirm their faxed measurements? I am not sure why the sales lady thought it was appropriate for the bridesmaid to compare herself to everyone else. The bridesmaid wouldn't give specifics about the other girls which seemed to frustrate the sales lady. When the dress arrived for the supposed "pregnant" bridesmaid the dress was about 4 sizes too big! This is an outrage since the company had her exact measurements and should know what size to order based on these measurements. When the dresses were shipped, they were sent directly to one of the bridesmaids, not the bride and not myself who lives out of town. I called the company who was very defensive and said I was lying and that they were shipped to the bride directly which they were not. In fact the shipping order had the bride listed on it but with one of the bridesmaids address instead. We are lucky that the delivery company even left the dresses since it was to the wrong person. I stated that my dress was supposed to be shipped to me directly. Now the bride has to pick up all of the dresses and ship mine to me with her own money. The company doesn't seem fazed by this nor apologetic.

I recently took my daughter to Cincinnati Bride where she found the dress of her dreams. Unfortunately, we were not prepared to pay the entire amount for the dress up front! Most places require a deposit of 50% or so initially, but Cincinnati Bride said it was their policy to require the total amount for the dress up front. It was the manager of the store who waited on us and refuse to budge on this. I told the manager that we would have to come back within the month to pay for the dress, but we DEFINATELY wanted the dress! She promised we would still get the discount of $100 off the dress plus discounted accessories (veil, slip, etc), if we wanted them. 2 days later, I called the store to let the manager (Sandra) know that we were prepared to pay for the dress, and would like to get it ordered. I got the answering machine that states they are either on the phone or helping a customer. So far, I have left 4 messages total asking them to return my call. No call back so far. I have now decided that doing business with Cincinnati Bride is not a good idea. First off, they want the total amount for the dress to place the order. Secondly, the dress is delivered directly to the person purchasing the dress. Thirdly, it seems the only way a person can reach anyone at Cincinnati Bride is to GO THERE. SO, if there is a problem once you receive the dress (up to 8 months after ordering it), you are stuck with either keeping it or taking a loss. By the time you get the dress, it is too late to order another one from any place else. Because of Cincinnati Bride's total lack of customer service once you leave their location, I have decided to take my business elsewhere and start all over again!

I can't believe that Cinncinati Bridal treats their customers this way. I will end up fixing 4 bridesmaids dresses that were purchased at Cincinnati Bridal. Can you believe that not one of the dresses that they measured for fit any of the girls?!? Even when each of the girls asked for a size larger. They were not accomodated. In some cases the dresses are 2 to 3 inches from being able to be zipped. (These girls are regularly size 2,4, and 6.)
Unfortunately this bride did not read the other reviews here before going there for dresses. If there is one time that dresses measured by these people did not fit it might be excusable but as you can see from the other reviews this is not an isolated case. To make a bad matter even worse was the rudness and lack of help to remedy this. In other words, "Tough luck Bride and Bridesmaids, it's your problem NOW." This poor customer service attitude does not work in any business, but especially one where you are dealing with brides that are most likely all ready stressed over wedding preparations. Stay as far away from Cinncinati Bridal as you can!

My sister had a great experience getting her wedding dress here (in 01/07)- nice service, an excellent selection of gorgous gowns, and and got the dress of her dreams. She also had a friend that had a great experience getting bridesmaid dresses here. So when I was looking for my own wedding dress (01/08) I was really eager to check out Cincinnati Bride. I received great service, had a fantastic selection of gowns, and I too picked out the dress of my dreams. I tried on my dress in white, and ordered it in ivory. The lady who helped me said it would be a very light ivory, and showed me a different dress that she said was about the same shade of ivory that mine would be.
Well, I picked up my dress recently and thought it looked a little darker, but I loved it even more that the light ivory that I thought it was going to be. While I was at the store, they were very nice with helping me try on the dress, and were prompt with giving me a list of seamstresses. When looking at the dress later, I noticed that the label says "light gold/ivory", even though the outside order slip just said "ivory".
I feel VERY LUCKY that I love my dress, considering it is not the color that I thought it was going to be. However, now I am meeting with my florist again, and revisting the tux place to make sure that things I thought I had already checked off my "to-do-list" still go with my gown.
I definately would not tell someone "Don't come here", because I AM happy with what I received and they have an excellent selection. But if you can, avoid ordering a dress that is a different color that the one you are trying on.

My grandson got married and my grand daughter was in the wedding. They went to the Cincinnati Bride for dresses because this store carried dresses in children sizes. They were very rude when measuring for the dress. My grand daughter wears a size 12 or 14. The said that they knew better. They sent a size 8 woman's with room for busts which she did not have yet.The dress was very long and had a shape.
They would do nothing about this. So my daughter had to let out the dress, change the straps (which were not cut to change) and take 6 inches off the circular skirt. The whole thing was lined and that had to be changed also.We sent this letter to the Cincinnati Enquirer and would never reccomend this store to anyone.

I had a great experience choosing my dress at Cincinnati Bride. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They made me feel special and took time to help me find the perfect dress. They also had lots of choices for my bridesmaids, too!

I bought my wedding gown at another store thankfully, but I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through Cincinnati Bride. My sisters were with my the day I selected the dressed and my other bridesmaids ordered their dressed at a later date.Problem one:The employees are not competent or consisted in measuring and sizing dresses. My sister was measured and a size 2 dress was recommended for her. (This is after we expressed that we would like to order the dresses a size bigger because it is easier to take a dress in than to let it out.) Then my other bridesmaid went in and was measured (with smaller measurements than my sister) and they recommended a larger dress size 4 for her. Obviously my sister's dress was way to small.Second problem:They convinced my sister's to order corset bras. Both bras arrived with the dresses and did not come close to fitting. The seamstress determined that she would be able to let the dresses out enough for them but that there was no way those bras would fit under the way to small dresses. We went to the store to return the bras. They have a no return/no refund policy. However, in light of the situation being their mistake we fully expected them to make an exception. they refused. Even when being confronted with the serious errors in measurements and sizing they continued to blow us off and refused to return our phone calls.Don't waste your money. This is a terrible business and with their no refund/no return policy they have given themselves a free pass at terrible customer service!!
PROS: NONE!!!
CONS: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES

This bridal salon is located in the Reading Bridal District and was the only store that had the perfect dress for me. They were very friendly and helpful while I was in the store, but their prices were not discounted one cent from the recommended retail prices. Unfortunately, their customer service after I left the store was horrible. I tried to call with questions about my order, and every time I got a message saying they couldnt come to the phone because they were helping someone in the store. They didnt even have an answering machine! My advice? Try on the dresses here if you cant find it anywhere else, but then buy it online.
PROS: carry Ginza gowns, friendly and helpful in the store
CONS: bad customer service after you purchase
