Don't waste your money on this park!!!! We just attended yesterday and it was horrible. First off you pay $15 just for parking, then there aren't enought trams to carry the loads of people they are allowing into the park. You have to wait several times in line to get on a tram even if you are in the front of a line as people will push you right out of the way or cut right in front of you and they only have one attendent monitoring this, we walked all the way back to our car at the end of the day because of the lack of trams. Once you get into the park don't even bother trying to use a restroom as the lines are just as long there as if you were waiting for a ride, the bathrooms are small and honestly not built to house the number of people they have to cram in there for lack of restrooms which is honestly a fire hazard, and to add insult to injury there are people from the water park who go to these restrooms to change holding up the line for people who actually need to use a restroom, there is a bath house for people who need to change their swimsuits and it should be enforced that they use that and only that. The lockers are expensive, $20 for a family size which really doesn't hold more than 4 persons belongings, especially if you are using the water park. The lines were extremely long over an hour wait. Half of their rides close earlier than the park does, and it really agravates me that they allowed adults WITHOUT children to ride the kiddy rides. These rides are intented for the younger children who can't ride the bigger rides, there should be a requirement that unless your are riding with a small child you cannot ride, as this holds up the line for smaller children which is really unfair since they are so limited on what they get to ride to begin with. We were there for a total of 7 hours and rode 2, yes only 2 rides due to long lines, over an hour and 1/2 wait for each ride. You can't even walk in the park as its extremely crowded and people are constantly bumping into you. We talked to guest relations on the way out in regards to all of this, and they told us that they hadn't even reached their maximum capacity of guests !!!WHAT!!!! They of course offered no concolation to any of this and do not offer a refund or return tickets even though we did not get to ride more than 2 rides through no fault of our own, and I was told that they are aware of the people changing in the restrooms and that I could use the baby center family restroom if need be, although I can't imagine the line is any shorter there. This was not even close to the family fun day I had planned for!!!

First off, I want to say that I have many fond memories of SFNE from previous seasons, and their rides truly are the best in the area, but due to their ridiculous policies and the workers themselves, my most recent experience there will keep me from going back. A member of our group has serious asthma problems, and after having gone to SFNJ where medical stickers are provided in order to keep devices with you in lines, we asked seven different attendants at the front gate if those existed here, and where to get them, always being told they didn't have that policy and we would have no problem taking the devices in line with us. Sure enough at the first ride we went on, we had trouble and were told to leave it in a locker (for a fee), out of the line, while we waited. after arguing that the device should not be that far away, the attendant agreed to "bend the rules" this happened 4 more times in line for that ride, and again at every other ride for the morning. FINALLY someone was able to tell us where to get the medical sticker, and we went and got it, but only after arguing with many park representatives and wasting quite a bit of time along the way. Another issue we had was in obtaining a previously bought season pass. We had to wait in the Guest Relations Line (about 2-3 times longer than any window wait for tickets), then wait in line to pass through security, and then again once inside the park to have pictures taken for the ID. This process in whole took us over an HOUR. Then, waiting in line for the Great American Scream Machine, we entered the line about 10 people back from the 15 minute sign, and had to wait over an hour to get on the ride that was fully functional. The reason? Flashpass riders would come in the line, and the attendant would fully fill up each and every train with them, not allowing "regular" waiters even one spot on a train for over 20 minutes. I understand the flashpass riders pay extra money for the privilege, but why not fill half the train with flashpass and the other half with regular riders, allowing each line to move? The Flashpass line would still be much shorter than the regular. Seems like a no brainer to me. When entering rides, our group of 6 was constantly being broken up for no reason other than attendants not listening to the first 2 members of the group asking for 4 more riders. Again on the Great American Scream Machine, 2 young girls were the first 2 in line of our group and were allowed on first. They asked to wait for the other 4 and were told they would hold up the line. Then, we had to wait for 3 more trains to come after they rode since the Flashpass riders took all the available seating. No reason to split up our group like that, especially leaving young girls alone in an unfamiliar place (they werent even allowed to wait for the adults at the exit). Our last ride of the night, Bizarro, was a long wait to say the least, but our group of 4 decided to wait even longer, letting other groups ahead of us in the individual seat's lines so the 4 of us could be on the same train that night. Would have worked fine, except when we were at the gate to enter the next train, a group of people cut in front of us coming out of another seat's line as soon as the gates opened, taking our place on the train. the other pair of our group did not notice and got buckled while we had to wait again for the next train. The most frustrating thing about this is that it occurred DIRECTLY in front of two park attendants, Matthew and Alex, who simply told the girls cutting "youre really not supposed to do that, but we'll let it slide", when the CLEARLY stated park policy throughout each and every line is that cutting in line will result in immediate ejection from the park. frustrating to say the least when we ended up waiting 7 extra trains in all trying to stay together due to miscalculating with single riders, people with $80 flashpasses riding twice in a row, etc. All in all, SFNE needs to reexamine themselves, and try to cater more to the average customer, and less to the money machine it obviously is. Parking- $15, locker at water park- $14, water $3.50, $31 per basic flashpass, $10+ for lunch food, the list goes on. Complaints were made to guest relations on our way out, and all we received was an apology for the day as compensation. Again, the rides themselves are great, but the park, its employees, and the way in which it is run leaves much to be desired.

I was honestly shocked to read these poor reviews. I've been going to Six Flags New England for a few years now, constantly getting season passes. I'm not one for poor quality parks so I wouldn't be returning if I felt that Six Flags lacked. They have a very nice selection of dry park rides and water park rides. They have been improving majorly over some of the last years (yes, I admit that it used to be a dirty place) and it's only getting more clean and friendly. With Six Flags in a turnaround mode with their company, they're stepping it up with friendliness and cleanliness. Six Flags always offers a good thrilling time for everyone in the family and it's sure to be a good day. With a Coke can you can get into the park for 30 dollars with their Everyone Pays Kids Price offer. I've been to many theme parks and this is one of the best ones in my opinion.

They killed the Cyclone rollercoaster, and now the Superman coaster too. The purple paint job is horrible. Plus 74.99 for a season's pass is way too expensive.

I made the mistake of planing a family fun day at SFNE. Let's begin with the $20.00 Preferred Parking, paid in advance, that was unavailable when I arrived. Instead I had to park in the general parking, paying $15.00 with the promise of a refund for the 20 already paid. It has been days and i have not seen the credit. lets move on to the rude useless unprofessional and down right mean park employees. With the exception of 1 person EVERYONE I had to deal with during this day trip was rude. Some of the rudest were found at the waterpark. I asked where the keys were for the lockers, "get in line" was the reply. The same locker that most places charge 75 cents for are $30.00 at this park! I could not believe how expensive the lockers were until I stopped at a stand to get 2 hotdogs, order of chicken fingers and 3 sodas - $38.00! I know they make their money off this stuff but the rude workers have there hands out at every turn! The water park also closes at 6:00pm, make sure you get changed before this time because they close down the second locker room and force everyone to use one spot, another long line JUST TO GET CHANGED!!! if you try to walk out in your shorts the security guards send you back in.And you cant do anything about it because it is clearly posted everywhere that they can throw you out for just about anything. You really should avoid this place, go to SF in New Jersey. Go to smaller local places, Hersey's park. Anywhere is better than this place. No I have to get a hold of my credit card company and get my money back. hope it was worth it SFNE! your never getting my money EVER AGAIN!

Just went to this park for the first time and as others have said it is very dirty, especially the line queues and the rides themselves. Gum stuck everywhere someone can reach, trash in the bushes, and the rides look liked they've never been wiped down. And this was just after the park had opened. We did Johnny Rockets for lunch and that was a nightmare. About 45 minutes to get two chix fingers and a burger. They couldn't be any less efficient. Hit a few coasters and then was stuck at the top of the Cyclone lift hill for about 10 minutes with no explanation. At least we had nice view of the park. :-) Not even an apology once we did get off. Tried getting a cup of water and the droid behind the counter said they didn't have any water, asked for ice, again no, not even an empty cup. When we were leaving the park Cyclone was again stuck at the top of the hill. They are clearly cutting corners to make some money this year. Take an extra day and drive to Hershey, you'll be glad you did.

This is a great place to go to in the summer. My family got season passes this last year and loved it! We love the rides and the water park. Because it's so convenient we could go for just a couple of hours ride a few things and go home. I would recommend bringing your own food however because it's very expensive.

This place is huge and the rides are phenomenal! The only complaint is that there is not enough shady areas for waiting parents to sit as the kids are riding. It makes for a long and hot day.

My children and I love going to Six Flags. This past year was our first year going and we had a blast. The water park is our favorite and I have never seen the park dirty or messy. The lines are long but if you get season passes and know when to avoid the crowds you can have a blast.

This is a great place for family fun. We have season passes here for many years. They have a lot of fun rides and have even open up a new Thomas sections. The park is always clean and well taken care of. The only thing I dislike is the cost. The food is so expensive and you can't bring food in.. So, be prepared to bring extra money.

The current management of Six Flags must be lacking because it seems to get dirtier and dirtier every year and the rides are more frequently not working. We did not go last year because the lack of cleanliness. It's seen better days.

My family has purchased season passes over the years, but each year it tends to get crowder and crowder. The park is not designed for the amount of people that they pack into it and the lines are long. However, if you purchase the season passes and go for short blocks of time more often, it can be good family fun.

Six Flags N.E. is getting way out of our budget these days...for what you get anyway. The cleanliness factor is 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. While waiting in a water park line, the smell of urine was very strong, and it wasn't just in one spot as maybe an accident or a practical joke would indicate. There have been various nasty items floating by in the water park. To their credit, they do shut down and sanitize when they see human waste in the water. The ride park is sticky and dirty. I hate touching anything! The lines are always so long, it's not uncommon to drive home having ridden on a whopping 6 rides! The parking, admission, food, and beverages are all overpriced. Not worth it!

I have to agree with the previous post, this place is overpriced and dirty. In past visits we saw hair, bandaids, and a multitude of other gross stuff in the drains at the water park.
The last time any of my family went there was my oldest son with a group of friends, unfortunately it was "Out in the Park day" which apparently meant Gay pride day. It would have been nice if it was clearer what this meant so we could have made an informed decision. The boys were approached and propositioned, (13 and 14 year olds!!!) They called us to pick them up Nothing was done and I sent a letter to the main office and never heard back. Poor customer relations.
Not a family friendly park! We will never go there again.

What a dump, the last time I went and it will remian that way, Six Flags was dirty. Trash falling out of the cans, the ride operators did not look like they should be operating anything more technical than an envelope. Parking was expensive. Lines were long.

Six Flags New England continues to grow and expand each year, and so does the cost. While I think the park has a lot to offer, I think the price of admission, food, and parking is ridiculous. A family of four will easily spend close to $400 for a day at the park. Buying a season's pass helps, but the parking is also another issue. You'll have to buy a parking pass as well. You can almost go on vacation for the amount you'll spent for one day.

I hadn't visited Six Flags since it was Riverside until the closing day this year. It is truly amazing, but give me a break. $12 a car to park and close to $60 for admission. Yes, you HAVE to pay the parking, there is no option. Give me a break.

This used to be a fun place but in the past years it is difficult to get into with the traffic, it is so pricy and it is not as much fun anymore. Most people i know feel the same. The park is not well patroled and there have been too many accidents for me to enjoy.

I think the cost for an adult to have to pay full price just to walk around and not ride the rides just to watch the kids have fun is nuts. Ice cream & food price is crazy. I hate to go but do it for the kid I swear six flags know this and rips the parents off knowing the kids will wine till they get there way. Nice park just to expensive. Parking is or was $10.00 this nuts water is $3.00. Well all I do is before I get there I take the kids to eat an Nicks pizza great place to eat just before you get to the park. Then the rest of the day get ready to get ripped off when the kid get hungry or thirsty your screwed I have gone with $300.00 and come home broke. I will be glad when the kids are grown because I will never go here or any other park they can't wait to empty your pockets. Canobie Lake Park in N.H. No better another rip off. All I can say if you go to these parks "DIG DEEP" It's tuff being happy there when you are taking it up the Ass. If it were cheap don't they realize more and more people would come back more than once a year. I would go more thank once. But not they are lucky I even go. Hate it every time especially when I by food. It sucks with the prices. Other than that have fun.

PROS: Good
CONS: "To Expensive, if you just want to walk around, and not ride the rides."

We had seasons passes last season and are not planning to purchase them this year. The park is fun for the kids, but the food prices are through the roof (I think they've even topped Disney's food prices!) and the food is just okay most times. The thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was the fact that at the end of the season, we were going into the park with our season passes and they decided that my son was tall enough that we would have to start paying for him. We argued the point and they finally said he just met the height requirement to not have to pay. I can understand them requiring him to pay the next season, but we were faced with having to spend a whole lot more money for either a season's pass (the season was almost over) or a single day kid's admission - which is not cheap, especially when you are planning on an inexpensive day out!

I would not pay full price for this park. Instead, coupons are usually available on soda cans through out the summer. Or, find a friend with a season pass, they usually recieve coupons as well.

The rides are mostly run-of-the-mill amusement park fare. The ferris wheel, merry-go-round, bump cars, etc. The coasters are satisfactory, but not particularly exciting. Go to Sandusky, Ohio instead.

PROS: Close to 5 million Bay Staters
CONS: Expensive without a coupon

I love going to this amusement park. There's rides here for everyone. Young and Old. Some rides you do have to acompany an adult on the ride though. Which I have no problem with going on the kiddie rides with my kids. I do have one problem though. If your pregnant you can't go on ANY of the rides. I understand not going on a rollercoaster but the Old fashion cars?? That's stupid. You know what I went on the rides anyways and my daughter turned out FINE.

PROS: Something for everyone
CONS: Can't go on any rides if your Pregnant....LOL I did.

There is a terrific variety of both wet and dry rides here for all ages which makes it a great park to visit. The coasters are awesome and the lines were manageable during the week.

Prices were around $7 for a hot dog basket consisting of a hot dog and french fries. I cant say the quality was anything spectacular, although my 4 year old really went to town on the chicken strips in that basket. I just nibbled on everyone elses as Id tried deep-fried oreos ($3.99) earlier in the day - they were terrific. The baskets came with an abundance of fries most of which we threw out.

My one major complaint about the park has to do with the heat. This is a very hot park to walk around. The South End and much of Hurricane Harbor was built over the blacktop of the old parking lot, making it much hotter to walk around. There are also few trees in this area, and walking into and out of the water park made me feel like I wanted to pass out and gasp for air. This was on a day when it was about 90 with low humidity. New England can have days in the mid to upper 90's with much higher humidity. I dont know if I could stand walking around or through these sections of the park on a day like that.

My kids really enjoyed their visit to Six Flags New England and want to go back there some day. My impression was that the park was nice. I dont know that Id want to walk around it on a high heat, high humidity day, and the food needs some improvement in both cost and quality. Im giving it 3 stars; it probably would be about 3 1/2 if I had that option.

PROS: big park, lots of rides for various ages, good waterpark
CONS: hot park to walk around in, food expensive and mediocre quality

Six Flags is one of the best places to visit. Its alway fun and you get to chill and have fun. The SuperMan hands down was the best ride that I have been on. Even though the lines are realtivly long it's still fun. Personally half the fun in going to these parks is to wait in line. I haven't really been a fan of the waterpark. But then of all I really don't like water parks at all. The season passes are a good deal. Definetly a must if you are going to go a few times.

Ok, I haven't been to many good amusement parks, so it's possible I'm overrating the place, but it's certainly the best amusement park in New England, with second place being non-existant. They have a few cool coasters like the cyclone, the corkskrew and the great american scream machine (my second favorite ride there). But the grand daddy is Superman. This is a true world class rollercoaster. Fast as hell and a long ride. Extremely scary. There's plenty of the old standby's around, too, to keep you occupied when you're taking a coaster break.

Six Flags New England is a great way to spend the day if you like rides. They have a great mixture of thrilling, soaking, and relaxing rides that could keep any member of the family entertained. Some of the roller coasters have longer lines, but many of the more fun rides have very short lines. Every summer I buy a season pass (normally $55) and every time I go I have a great time.
