Dr. Chang is an amazing Doctor who has done more than just my yearly exams. I have seen a few other Gynos in my life and she is by far my favorite. She always makes it easy and relaxing. I wouldnt ever go to another. The women who say she is "over zealous" must not liked being put at ease...because I sure do appreciate it when Im looking at issues with cancer...

Dr. Chang was my Dr. for three pregnancies, she is an excellent Dr. and took very good care of me and my babies. She followed my birth plan each time and was always there when I called with a question. Her nursing staff was always very nice and helpful. I would and have recommended Dr. Chang to many of my pregnant friends and they have also had wonderful experiences. She is friendly and really gets involved in your families and takes and interest in you as a person. She was never fake and never had a problem keeping records from my pregnancies. I am now pregnant with my fourth baby and can't wait to have her as a Dr. again.Highline hospital is a nice hospital but some of their nurses can go in my opinion. Like I said before I would recommend both Dr. Chang and Highline to anybody and everybody.

Dr. Chang is nice...if you want a new best friend. She was very over zealous - and when she spoke to me she seemed almost fake and mocking. She was very unprofessional. Getting your yearly exam can be a very vulnerable time for a woman...and after she had finished doing the exam, she closed my legs and leaned on them while talking to me...like we were best friends. It was pretty awkward. She seems nice enough...but I do not recommend her. I will not be going back there.

Dr. Elaine Chang is a good doctor when it comes to knowing how to get patients through their pregnancies, and help them care for their unborn children. She was also very gentle and a nice lady, who always had a smile on her face.

However, in my experience, Dr. Chang either was ingorant about VBAC, causes of cesarean and kept poor records, OR she was only out for extra money. I say this because I had a Cesarean with my first born. He was "sunnyside up" (face up) rather than face down, so labor didn't progress past 3 cm leading to my c-sec. When I got pg again, I strongly desired to have a vaginal birth (VBAC) that time around. Dr. Chang assured me that was fine. But late in my pregnancy (when a severly pregnant woman is not going to debate how to get a child out, just wants it out) she said that according to her records my first born was breech, meaning this child would also be breech and a VBAC would be a bad idea. Ignorantly, I trusted her and went along with a second cesarean.

Recently, I found out my gut feeling and memory was correct, and that my first born was NOT breech. I also found out that even if he had been, it does not mean future babies would be breech. Also, she only would have had to do a sonogram to find out what position baby was in. It appeared she just waited for the right time to talk me into a C-sec, and that her benefit was the scheduling convenience as well as a fat paycheck (c-secs pay well for doctors).

Also, she scheduled my baby's arrival for two weeks BEFORE her due date (I recently learned it should never be earlier than one week unless medical problems are a factor, which they weren't) which caused her to have breathing problems and she had to have oxygen. Scary! (thank God she's fine now).

Now I am destined to FOREVER have c-sections, as once you have more than one, risks in VBAC do grow. I feel robbed of a traditional birth experience, and was upset that the early date of my daughter's arrival caused problems for her.

PROS: Good care, friendly, ok for GYN care
CONS: for OB care stay away, in my experience she was shady
