PacMan Disposal Inc.

My husband and I just bought our first home, so we went with Pacman whom are cheap, and so far we are very satisfied. The first week they did miss our house, but we are new and they came the next week and havn't missed us since. They always take what we leave out, and we had so much trash when we first moved in and they took it all! So far no problems, they are great!

I have had these guys for a number of years now. At first they did miss my house a couple of times but when I called to fix it the female on the other end was nice and they came back out the next day or two. They have not missed a day for a long while.

The backing up thing is a valid complaint. My kids are young and don't play outside, but I could see the dangers. Mainly, it is a waste of time. I live with a cul-de-sac directly across the street. The drive would same three minutes by driving up the street then quickly backing his truck into the cul-de-sac instead of backing all the way up the street. Unsafe and poor time management.

Over all, I have enjoyed my service; but I will keep my eye open for anything really unsafe.

I am writing in regards to Packman Disposal's lack of safety awareness. I am saying this as I have worked for them. I was told to drive fast and "put the pedal to the medal." When I was being trained, I would drive the speed limit and be careful especially in residential neighborhoods and I was told that I was driving too slow and needed to "kill it" by my trainer. They didn't care that I was risking the lives of kids, pedestrians, other drivers as well as risking my life and my career. I mentioned to the owner(Lenny) how I have to drive safe and he responded by saying to me QUOTE: "I am not some tree hugger I believe safety is common sense."
When I was in training my trainers would act like I was doing something wrong by coming to complete stops at stop signs. Lets not even forget the trucks are UNSAFE and should be taken to the dump with the trash!!! Major coolant leaks on to the roads, trucks blowing black smoke into the air, oil leaking everywhere and more than once I lost my brakes!!!
I would tell them that the brakes weren't good and they would do nothing about it. These people are a safety and environmental hazard. I wonder if the owner would say that I am a tree hugger for not wanting to pollute the ground and air even more.
The owner would tell us drivers to "communicate with your trash thrower" but that is hard to do when they don't speak English. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for and I hope that people get the police to notice how unsafe and dangerous their drivers and equipment are.

I have had these Guys for Years now. They are ALWAYS super cool. Take what ever I put out.
The best thing is how they treat my Son.I have a Spl. Needs Child & these guys ALWAYS take the time to talk to him, teach him about the truck, & help him with the cans.
Trash day is his favorite day of the week! He's always there to greet them. He even saves his money from cutting grass or recycling so he can get them Bottled water, or Gatorade.

In a 2 year period they missed the weekly pick-up 47 times! They also let trash fall on the street and drive. Neighbors were not happy. Good Riddance!

I have had Packman for just over 2 years and have had wonderful service. I am on a fixed income and they send out my bill in enough time so that I can pay them. In these times it is great that a company is willing to work with you. The only reason I left them is because I moved to an apartment.

They backed into my garage and then denied it. They said, "file a police report", when I called them on it. We could keep the police out of it, if they would just fix it, but no. I now have the police going after them.

Avoid using this company if you have any children living on your street. We live on a through street with ample access from both directions yet they insist on backing rapidly past 6 houses, without a backup beeper, to do one pickup and then backing up from the other direction to pick up at the other end of the block. We have contacted the company several times about the safety of this practice, especially during the summer when young kids are out playing, and were told that they had been doing business this way for 20 years and if we didn't like it we should contact the police.

They are UNSAFE for kids and for their workers. Please spend an extra dollar or two per quarter and force them to change their practices.

We have never had a problem. They take all the trash we put out and some weeks that's a ton. They have waited for me when bringing trash out at the last second. They always put my trash cans upright and closer to my house. I have never had a problem with customer service and even once they came back when I forgot to put my trash out.

This company picks up my neighbors trash and they drive like idiots. They are eventually going to kill someone or something. I am about to file a police report for careless and reckless driving. These people are dangerous.

I have used Pac Man for years and I love them. They come every week and they take all the stuff I put out which is a lot for a family of five. (except the concrete I tried to sneak by them) They are friendly and they always always put my cans closer to my gate than I leave them. They come in the snow and the rain and they are nice to me and my kids. Yes I have seen them drive backwards down the neighboring street which is a culdesac but it wasn't reckless and there is a man standing on the back of the truck to monitor as well. Great price and great people to do I job I know I could never do. Could you?

PacMan disposal: They drive backwards down the main street in our neighborhood.
NOT SAFE! Avoid this company at all costs.

They have never not taken what I've put out (tons of leave bags,etc.) They saw my kids hurrying the trash to the curb one time and helped my younger son with his bag. Helpful and nice people.

There have been a couple hiccups here and there, but nothing truly bad. They have always taken everything I put out and never taken anything that might not be considered trash (I had some broken plastic tubs, they kept leaving, most likely thinking they were still being used as containers). They have taken leaves, trash, even ALL my spring cleaning items (garage trash, household items, etc.) I am pleased and will continue to use them.

The are few bucks cheaper but they do a whole lot less for the money than any of the other services out there.

I have routinely had other services pick up extra items (even if it costs a few dollars.) PacMan won't. They advertise they pick up household trash. Apparently they believe that households only generate kitchen trash and nothing else. There customer service is horrible and rude and nothing is ever there fault.

Generally I have had to call them more often than any other trash company I have used in the last 22 years because of issues with pickup, smashed cans, oil dripping from trucks and so on...

The final straw is there telling me I would have to call another trash company to pick up yard refuse. I can't imagine why I would keep them if I need someone else anyway.

I would not recommend them, they think picking up some of your trash is doing your a favor, not doing business.

Like others, I chose Packman since they are a local company, and were priced less when I obtained their services a couple of years ago. I have lived through some of the worst pickup service, customer service and professionalism from Packman. There have been many instances of garbage not getting picked up, recycling week changed every few months, and the like. There have been a couple of occasions where I called in advance to check when recycling would be picked up )I called because this happened to me in the past with Packman). I called a couple of weeks ago, and they said no pick up in the coming week, and so I waited until the following week. Called back the following week after recycling had not been picked up - response was {your recycling is next week}.

As I mentioned earlier, there have been a couple of other occasions of this. Same thing happened in the beginning of 2009 - called them,and they said - the owner sent notices that the pick up cycle has changes in the New Year. Once week it is the schedule marked in red, and next week it is the schedule marked in blue.

I would not recommend this service. Pay a couple of bucks extra to get more professional service.

We've been using PacMan and they always put the trash cans on the sidewalk and pretty much take what we put out. Of course when it is fall, we put a dozen or so leaf bags plus household garbage each week for about a month.

Used PacMan in the past and did not have any problems.Back to using them(again) and have had no problems! I Like how they put my empty trash cans back off the sidewalks. So I guess people with bad service must have bad drivers on there route. Bummer

I have used Packman Disposal since I moved to Westminster, CO almost 3yrs ago. I signed up for their service because they are the cheapest by far. However the money you save is not worth the headaches they will give you. Since I have signed up for the service they have thrown away 1 trash can and a labeled recycling bin on separate occasions. I have never been credited for these. And most recently I have called Packman about them throwing away my trash can on 10/27 and only the owner can talk to me and he has yet to return a single phone call! I have CANCELED my service with them. I would strongly recommend you go else where. You will save yourself multiple headaches.

SO I called them three weeks ago to pick up my trash and No one showed up although I have a neighbor who suggested I go trough this company and they seem to pick up his trash ever week. the Lady asked me to leave a check on the door and I did! once again this week they passed my house right up because the lazy ass trash guy was too damn lazy or blind to get out and look for my check... I am so annoyed you would think if you had a first time customer you would treat them good... It's only common sense I'm surprised they even have happy customers

Like a couple of others, I'm surprised by some of the negative posts here. I've had PacMan since I moved to Westminster a few months ago, and have found them to be great! Their prices are comparable to all the "big" companies. When I first moved in, I filled the curb with trash from my house and yard nearly every week, and they picked up everything I put out there. They were friendly and careful to place my cans back on the sidewalk. I suppose different routes have different workers and drivers, which could account for the various opinions here, but I'd recommend them to anyone who asked.

Ive had Pacman for a couple years now and I am very happy with them, they take anything you put out there.I live in a cul de sac and some of my neighbors have other big companies that pick up on the same day (like those BOZOS at WasteMangement)by the end of the day when everybody has picked up, my thrash cans are the only ones on the driveway nicely placed while everybody else has there cans still on the sidewalk or street just tossed there.

I am very please with PacMan.I have no complaints, onlu praises.I referred my sister and the first pick up she had, she had nothing but great comments. The most shocking thing unlike all other waste companies, is the consideration they have. When finished they always put the empty gabage cans in the driveway, and not back on the sidewalks. Very respectable

I signed up with them for recycling service, they never did pick up my recycles, called to ask when they would start since I was getting charged for it, refused to give me credit for service I paid for in advance but did not receive. Was also supposed to get a credit for second billing cycle as a sign up bonus promo, never received that either. This company obviously has no desire to keep its customers! Will never use them or refer anyone to them again!

Overpriced, and their service isn't worth the price they charge. I found Western Disposal will pick up more recycling and trash for less money per month, and isn't adding outrageous, unrealistic fuel charges onto my bill, either.

Packman doesn't answer the phones, has no voicemail service, and no email address. Good luck contacting them.

In working in and around the construction industry most of my life, with the inclusion of a "Class A" Commercial Driver's License, I have spent my fair share of time in and around a landfill with trash trucks/drivers. With that said, I felt confident in my calls to Packman Disposal raising awareness of their trucks' habitual speeding and ignoring of stop signs throughout my neighborhood. My thought was that the company would want to know of such a concern and take measures to correct the problem; however, that was surely not the case. My calls were met time and time again by a extremely rude and angry woman. When she tried to tell me I was wrong and unable to tell the speed of such a big and loud truck, I informed her of my driving background for which she then hung up...and continued to hang up each and every time I tried to call back to reach someone else within the company. There are seven kids on my five street house, five of whom are under the age of six. Honestly, I'd rather pay the extra few bucks a month to another company that truly cares about the safety of my community and kids rather than just using it as an advertisement slogan. Packman Disposal if just BAD business and I am working with local law enforcement to catch the drivers in the act...maybe they'll listen to the police, and if not, maybe to the sound of $$$ leaving their pocket.

This company is great. They pick up just about anything you can throw at them (literally.) I have been a customer for over a year and they have never missed a pickup (knock on wood.) A friend of mine recommended PacMan to me and I DON'T regret it at all. Hope this review helps.

HAVE HAD PACKMAN SERVICE FOR 2 YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS . THE GUYS ON THE TRUCK ARE ALWAYS POLITE AND EFFICIENT AS WELL AS THE OFFICE PERSONNEL. WHEN WE HAD THE SNOW STORM LAST WINTER THEY NEVER MISSED MY PICK UP . MY NEIGHBORS HAD ANOTHER SERVICE AND RECEIVED NO SERVICE FOR 3 - 4 WEEKS NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE NOW PACKMAN CUSTOMERS.

I signed up with Packman Disposal in November 2006 based solely on the price. The cost at signup was $35.40 for 3 months. I live in Westminster. They recently added a $0.50/month fuel surcharge, so my bill is now $36.90. The fuel surcharge seems reasonable based on the cost of fuel. My previous service was with Waste Management at $39 for 3 months plus a $4 fuel/environment charge. I signed up for 3 year fixed price rate with WM, and after the 3 years ended, the price began to creep with every billing. I have been very satisfied with Packman; they take whatever I put out (battery, tire, tree limbs, etc) and leave the curb neat. I get my trash out by 7 am since the pickup times vary a little, but they have never missed a pickup day. I have had service in Westminster with WM and BFI and can honestly say that Packman provides comparable service to the big guys for a lower price. Of course, I will try to stay loyal to a local CO owned company, but if the price creeps too much, I would not hesitate to go back to one of the other guys for a better rate. After all, it is just trash and I want it gone at the cheapest price.

I've had PacMan for two weeks on a new account, and used them for about a year before. On this new account they have missed my house 2 times in two weeks saying my trash was not out when I put it out the night before both times. When I called 30 sec. later Natalie called them on the radio as i can still hear the trash truck driving away. She told me the foreman said the trash was not out and there not coming back. I told her to give me my money back she said she would then hung up. Natalie did not care to show/voice any concern regarding the issue nor try to resolve the situation. Absolutely terrible!

I have 2 trash cans and they said that the one was to heavy to lift. Is what the lady at Pacman told me. Than after I myself went out and lifted the trash can I called back in and the lady on the phone tells me that she is not sending them back tonight because they have already gone home. And asks if it is my neighbors I bought a new trash can I guess you are not allowed to buy new cans because they think that it is the neighbors.

PacMan offers fair pricing, but thats where the fairness ends. They missed about 13 pick-ups at my house in 2006 and refused to refund any service charges. This June/July 2007 they are at it again with 2 missed pick ups in a row. They dont answer their phone after 2:30pm according to the recorded message. When they do answer, they tell you that "you are wrong and they did pick up at your house." Last pick up, I watched their truck slow down look at my cans street side and keep rolling. I am a long time paid up customer, and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I have watched them pass my house 3 times in the summer of 2006. Two times I ran out and chased them down the street and then they would back up and pick up my trash. The third time I called PacMan to let them know this was the 3rd time they have passed my house in the last year, but the first time calling in to complain. PacMan called the truck while I was on the phone with them and told them they passed my house, I was out in the street on the phone with them waving for them to come back. The gal came back on the phone and acted like I was wrong in thinking they were passing us up one more time, and said he knew about picking up at my house and will be there i just have to be patient. I then asked if he wasn't passing my house then why did he drive past it? I have seen it 2 times before. Thinking they were going to turn around, but they would keep going. She didn't have that answer. Then I asked for a credit. She said no. They then backed up down my street to pick my trash up. Then later in the year when Denver started to get the snow storms, they didn't pick up trash for 3 weeks. Even on the clear days. Using the snow as an excuse. I had to go to work, why didn't they? I don't have 4 wheel drive. They have the huge trucks. I ended up packing my trash in my car and taking it elsewhere to dispose of because it was over-flowing. I let them know this and they still didn't give me a credit. Then when we had that rain a couple of weeks ago, and i put my trash out in it the night before pickup they didn't take 2 of my trash cans. They left me a note saying they were too heavy. I could pick them up. I am a female. I can't imagine the guys not being able to pick them up. I left them out there hoping they would pick them up the next week. And they did. If they didn't, once again I would have had to dispose them myself. They also leave bits of trash in the street when they leave. I am constantly picking up left over trash off the ground after they are finished picking it up. Thats the service you get for something cheap.

Pacman Disposal Inc. is currently the lowest cost trash removal company in the Westminster area. They provide a quality service for only $10/month (Aug.2005). There are no additional charges for fuel or removal. They are not consistant on pick up time, but they always remove trash on the assigned day. They remove large quanities of rubbish with NO EXTRA FEE. They even take the time to return trash cans to the driveway!
