Previously known as East Coast Bar & Grill, now known as Michaels, I figured I'd better patronize this place before Burbank looses all of it's "Bar & Grills"
I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice big patio with heaters, music, and even a big screen TV, perfect for this margarita and ciggarette loving girl.
The inside is small, the interior is rather boring, could use a little character, but there is a nice, full bar that has plenty of potential if you bring a few buddies.
They even had live music on the Sunday I was there, a cool blues player, donned with the perverbial sunglasses and panama hat set the mood just right.
I sat on the patio, it was a little noisy being right on Olive Blvd, but the booths, rather than metal or plastic chairs made it very comfortable. My only disapointment was that I couldn't hear the live music, instead they piped recored music onto the patio.
My margarita was delicious, as well as the glass of Syrah the very attentive bartender recommended. I had the prime rib special, $12.99 M-F, 10.99 on the weekends. It was good, a little fatty unlike it's $20.99 counterparts, but what do you expect for $ 10.99? It was great! The garlic mash potatoes were INCREDIBLE! I mean incredible, I think they roast the garlic before adding it, very flavorful.
I would recomend Michaels for it's unpretentious, comfortable atmosphere, it's good, reasonable food and friendly service.
PROS: Good food, friendly service, reasonably priced
CONS: could use a little more "pub" atmosphere
