Nice but avoid the horse rental  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Nice hiking. Really nice waterfall that is a bit of a walk but worth it. Perfect spot for a picnic or a pleasant afternoon dipping your toes in the river but almost all the dog owners refuse to obey the leash law. Nothing like watching a dog the sized of a pony take a crap in the river 15 feet upstream of where you are dipping your toes in. No wonder people hate dogowners more than dogs.
Some sad old horses for rent but we have never managed to have a booked ride work out.

wild brush  4 Star Rating - Very good

The first time I visited this regional park was during an elementary school field trip. I loved field trips, as most students do, so i had memorable time here. It was an adventure for me. This area was first inhabited by Native Americans and you learn the history of the land from the tour guide. There were lots of nature trails through the wildlands of the Ohlone hills, we spotted several different large rodents and some deer. Nowadays, most of the land that used to belong to them has been converted to ranch land.
