I have only been there for lunch, but it is always a treat! The buffet-style meal includes many different dishes which I have been assured by a coworker is quite authentic; and I can assure you it is delicious. The available dishes varies from day to day but usually include chicken, lamb, beef and vegetarian fare.

The staff is courteous and available. Although it can get pretty packed during lunchtime, the wait is never long. The price is reasonable at around $9 for an all-you-can eat buffet that is delicious.

I've been to India Palace several times now for their lunch buffet and have never been disappointed. The traffic has always been high enough that you're certain the food on the buffet line is fresh. $9.40 for a buffet lunch (w/ drink & tip) struck me as high at first, but I'm new to Germantown, and I've never hesitated to go back. I've yet to try something off the menu, but I'm sure that when I do I won't be disappointed.

I've been there 5 times now for their lunch buffet. It's all you can for around $9. The place has a nice peaceful ambience, good service and great food. The food is just perfect, not too spicy not too bland. They have 2 rooms and I've been to both, though my personal preference is the outer room. I've been to Cafe Spice too and quite frankly once was enough. Whenever we feel like having Indian food in Maryland, India Palace Bar is the only preferred option.

I have tried three other Indian restaurants in the Montgomery Co and India Palace Bar and Tandoor is the best! India Palace is a very classy restaurant.I haven't actually -eaten- inside but my fiance and I have been ordering take-out once a week for the past month. We always order Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Samosas. Sure this restaurant is a little on the pricey side but one order of an entree is enough to split for two people. All I can say about their food is : AMAZING. They also have a bar and an extensive wine list. India Palace is a must-try!

PROS: Great food, ampel parking
CONS: none

First impressions are always important and India Palace Bar and Tandoor in Germantown is a winner, when you just enter for dine in, you feel so. The wooden and glass interiors with traditional pictures on wall is homely. The soft dim light and the soothing background music enhanced the ambience potential.

Me and my wife ordered Butter Chicken and Navratna Korma for the main course. Both dishes had amazing taste and the combination of chicken and butter sauce was unexpectedly pleasant, where as Navratna Korma was the Chef's Special, extremely good. We washed down the main course with the bottle of Gewurtrazminer. We discovered that Gewurtrazminer wine is probably best wine goes good with Indian foods. At the end, friendly server served us the house special dessert "Rice Pudding" which dissolved deliciously in the mouth.

I think India Palace Bar and tandoor has been our favorite eating place since last year. This restaurant has been serving Indian Cuisine that can be the best in Maryland.
If you are planning to dine in out and seeking for indian influence food with good taste and quality, this is the right place.

PROS: GREAT FOOD,GOOD SERVICE
CONS: ONLY ONE LOCATION IN MARYLAND

I loved the food and environment. I have been there for lunch many times and each time, I am pleasantly surprised by the variety of delicious Indian fare. If you enjoy good food, well-seasoned and extremely flavorful - you must give the Palace a try. You will not be disappointed and will become as loyal a customer as I. Every chance I get, I introduce colleagues and friends to this exquisite spot, because I know they will love it just as much as I do! The service is also excellent, which only adds to the experience.

PROS: wide varity, kids friendly
CONS: none

Since my family and I live in Germantown, we were anxious to try this new Indian Palace restaurant when it first opened. We were not impressed. The staff were not very friendly. They seemed to hover over our table when we were eating as if saying, hurrry up please! The food was decent, but by no means authentic. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry and all the food seemed like it could be spiced up a little more. I wouldn't go back again. There are plenty of other better Indian restaurants in the area.

This resteraunt was a once a week takeout MUST when I lived just down the road. Over a year or so the staff and I became aquainted, and they always made an effort to cater to any special requests.
The tandoori chicken is my favorite, and my girlfriend loves the lamb with spinach.WE go back there as often as we can.
The prices are reasonable, it is worth the experience, and they remembered me and made me feel welcome when I had first moved, and hadn't been back for over a year.
...I love this place.

PROS: quick service
CONS: wait in weekends

The food here is very bland and does not live up to Indian standards. The food is also rather pricey. The employees ignore you and does not give you very good sevice. The location is good for parties, but one should ask to bring his/her own food.
