The canoe rentals are really cheap at $4 per hr per boat for students. They also offer rowboats at the same rate but no canoes (you will have to rent them from the Paddle Club underneath the Agua Verde for $14 an hour). The hours are limited to the sunlight so be sure to check out the opening hours.

And this is a good place to do it. Cheap rentals, especially for students. Cost is about $7/hr for a canoe or row boat. The area is pretty cool, right near the arboreatum. Canoeing out on the lake is a little big tough, the currents are kind of stong and there's lots of big boats. Neverless, it's a cool way to spend a nice afternoon.
