As far away as you can. Nothing there you can't order in any other bridal store. Why put yourself thru unspeakable pain and agony. No one will return your phone calls if you call to check on your order. No one will greet you if you walk in. No manager will take responsibility for any problems or answer any of your questions, but will refer you to a voice mail that no one ever picks up. Oh, I know why I went there...I saved a couple of bucks. In retrospect, no amount of money you think you might save is worth going to that store. Did I mention you should stay as far away as possible?

First: my consultant was wonderful, overworked, but wonderful!

They have nothing for anyone over size 10 (in normal clothes) especially if you have hips! I had recently lost weight and was anxious to try on dresses being my new size (12-14). I could not fit into any of their dresses! This was soooo demoralizing! I ended up in tears on a day that is to be sooo special for my mom and I. When I attempted to call corporate....i was yelled at on the phone.

What i don't understand is why they wouldn't have the dresses in a bigger size....you can always pin it down for those skinny girls. They are losing a lot of business because us "normal" size girls (average woman size is 12 now!) can't even picture ourselves in dress!

I went to the new HOB in Orland Park because they were supposed to carry the bridesmaid line I wanted. I was interested in the AA separates line and thought this would be the perfect place to go. The sales girl was not even familar with it, although AA is one of their biggest designers. Me and my BM looked through the racks on our own and found the line. Only 4 of the tops (out of 32 offered) and NO BOTTOMS! How in the world can you try on a top to set without a bottom? The sales girl finally brought the fabric swatches and a catalog, but then walked away! My BM set herself up in the dressing room. We had to go search the sales women down because the corset style top was missing the laces! BTW, they did not have it! I was unsure about colors (two colors were sorta similar) and me and my BM searched the racks to find the colors with no help from sales woman. Upon leaving because we found no assistance, my mom had the AA catalog with the pictures of dresses and the sales girls came after us because we are not allowed to take it!
It was a big shocker to be treated so rudely because all my previous experience had been with another well known Bride retailer down the street and everything was top notch service! Including the 2 catalogs each me, my mom, and my 2 BM's were allowed to take with to show off pictures of dresses! Too bad they don't carry AA.

Hey ladies...

There is a HOB in Orland that just recently opened, and I would recommend them. I was treated like a princess, and the store is new and smells like new carpet haha. They have a wide range of dresses from budget priced to expensive couture. I ended up purchasing my dress at David's Bridal because I found "the one" there, but HOB had a couple that I was debating over. You can go in and pick any dress you want and go through the racks. My consultant was great and kept bringing me dress after dress that I wanted to try on. By the way, do not go to Eva's Bridal in Orland - it's pathetic.

Oh my gosh!. How could a store last in business that long without even trying to understand the meaning of customer service. They actually yell at you and treat you horribly when you try to complain about anything instead of trying to understand or apologize or rectify a problem. The gowns come in six week late; they put you in a fitting room and forget about you; they don't say hello when you walk in or thank you when you leave. To top it all, the manager is so condescending and ignorant in that store that you just want to pick up your gown and get out of there. No matter what. I honestly had a panic attack every time I walked into that store.

This store has the worst service. I am planning a wedding from out of state and made the mistake of choosing HOB Oak Lawn for my bridesmaids dresses. The service was awful and the salesperson was extremely rude to my bridal party. The store makes you pay for your dresses upfront, prior to your order even arriving. They don't give a good sense of timing for when your order arrives and if you call to ask a question, it's quite possible you will be hung up on. So, my advice... shop elsewhere.

The dresses are not that high of quality and the prices are WAY overpriced - twice to 3 times as much as David's. I was not offered any type of discount until I asked, then I was told they had to speak to the manager first. This was about 7 years ago, so maybe they have changed, but I doubt it. Also, I was not able to go and look at dresses, I had to tell them what I liked and they went into the back room and brought out styles that THEY thought I would like. Very inconvenient and just a dumb concept of selling.

I have heard the most horrible stories about this shop and my experience was not any better. Horrible service, not a lot of selection, and high prices. They have a sign posted that "Will call police for unruly customers". Yikes!
