I can't say enough about how great Dr. Reda and Dr. Hadland are. My English Springer Spaniel had undescended testes (bilateral cryptorchidism) and I was shopping around for a new vet to do the "neuter" which is much more involved as it's

I was recommended to East Islip Vet by a dear friend who goes to this office. When I woke up I knew that I was making the right decision but I loved my dear friend Rambo so much that had some selfish doubts in my heart. We took him to his favorite places like the beach, and Gardiner Manor Park and then to the vet we went, from the first step we tooked to the office to the last when I left we were treated with the most respect, consideration and understanding. The front desk girl was great, the lady vet was wonderful and reasured my son and I that we were doing the right, humane thing for our beloved dog.
It was the most horrible decision that I've made but the best at the same time "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts East Islip Vet" for helping us say see you later to our dearest Rambo. RIP Rambo 9/5/2008

I would recommend this Vet to other animal owners. I trapped 2 cats and brought them in the same day to be spayed/neutered. I did not need any appointments. I am also fostering kittens and one of them had to get his leg amputated. The Vet did a great job with the procedure. All of the staff there are very nice too. thanks, Heidi.

I went to east islip vet group because a friend referred them. The girls were great. very nice! Being in the medical industry, i know the ins and outs of any practice(human or animal). And theire service is top notch. Reasonably priced (compared to other local vets and the doctor is extremely knowledgable. By the way, the blonde tech is a phlebotomist (that's fancy for being trained in venipucture. (see review below). Anyway, this hospital is great and the staff is down to earth. If you are looking for personal service (great service) then here's your hospital.

I was given a free exam for my new bulldog pup "roxy" at a hospital in huntington. I brought her there because she was losing hair. The vet gave me some antibiotics and said it was an infection. Well, a week later, she was no better. So, i went to east islip vet group, cuz a friend reccommended them. I met the young doctor, who spent a lot of time with me. He did some tests and found out that my "roxy" had ringworm and not an infection. Thank god there are some competetent vets out there. He is great!!!
Thanks dr. h. see ya in a few months for roxy's big surgery day.

I WENT THERE JUST RECENTLY CAUSE I HEARD THE OLD VET IS BACK IN TOWN. HE WAS GREAT, AND THAT'S WHY I WENT BACK. WHEN I GOT THERE I WAS TOLD THAT THE DOC HURT HIMSELF AND THERE IS A NEW DOC. I SAID LET'S GIVE IT A TRY. WHAT A GREAT DECISION I MADE. HIS NAME IS DOCTOR HIRSCH, AND HE IS WONDERFUL. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH WITH THE EXAM. HE EVEN PICKED UP A HEART CONDITION THAT NO ONE EVER HEARD BEFORE. HE WAS CARING AND SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH TO REASSURE ME. I WILL BE BACK AND TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS!!!
WELCOME TO EAST ISLIP, DR. HIRSCH WISH YOU THE BEST!!!

I went there to get my cat looked at and the fat blonde receptionist started doing the cbc and when I asked her if she was licensed she turned to me and said with a severe attitude that she has experience with obgyn and didnt need a degree. I would only recommend going there if you want a dead animal until they fire the blonde receptionist. I am lucky my animal is alive because she obviously had no clue what she was doing and she had to poke the cat like a hundred times to get anything which is ridiculous and obviously shows her lack of experience. I wanted to fire a complaint to the manager who turns out wasnt there so I dont know what kind of practice they are running
