Midori's is a good restaurant for chinese food. However it is only good for sushi if you are a novice. If you usually have no problems with grocery store or Royal Farms bought sushi then Midori's would be fine for you. But otherwise I would only recommend it for the average chinese food endeaver.

I'm torn in how to rate this place. I will say that the sushi is excellent, fresh, and exactly the way sushi should be. The sushi rice is perfectly prepared and to me that shows they care about doing a good job. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. However, the building is a former Taco Bell and in spite of the owner's attempts at disguise, it looks and feels like a former Taco Bell. I love going here for lunch or picking up a sushi combo to go for lunch. The price is very good for a nice variety of nigiri sushi and some miso soup. I don't like to go here for dinner because the prices are higher and it doesn't seem worth my dining dollar for the lack of ambiance. They serve Chinese food as well which is good, but the sushi is much better.

midori is a nice place to get quality chinese food. the good part is that the setting is nice and there is easy availability of space. the food is better than most other chinese places. though a little expensive the place is definitely worth a try.
PROS: good food, fast service
CONS: a little expensive

Midori offers both Chinese and Japanese food and both are prepared expertly. The sushi is amazing, especially for the price, and has been noted in local magazines. Midori is located in a converted Taco Bell building (recently painted an unfortunate shade of neon green) right inside the beltway, and you just would never expect the quality of food from the looks of the location. It's proof that you should never judge a book by its cover, because Midori is really one of the best asian restaurants I've been to.
